They want to speak the “truth” and not worry about practical politics. I think that those three are purists. And,they excoriate those who are not. Others like Huffington or Hamsher are not so pure. I think that those two are partly purist and partly ‘out for what they can get’. We do not have viable third parties. And, we will not have viable third parties until we have proportional representation. So, we have the Democratic Party – which is a fractious coalition. The problem with politics is that it is corrupting; it is, after all, the art of the possible. This can make for some difficult and unpleasant compromises in order to accomplish (part of) your objectives. Basically, they do not believe in taxes.
I have to wonder if they actually have any ideas or values at all. It is hard to negotiate with someone who believes nothing and thinks nothing.
Obamda and the Democratic Party are not the ememy; I am not Schultz; I am not Hamsher; I am not Huffington.
No ideas, nalues, no fact, no logic. merely spite.
The word that I have in mind is: nihilists.
Partisanship/partiality in political comment is useful as well. With that, I learn about the thoughts and feelings of other people on matters. Thus, I can make sense of what political actors actually do.
If someone makes sense, fine. If someone does not make sense, fine.
My preference is that these two remain separate.
It is just as he says.
I look for the 1%.
