One of these days our it will be a requirement to take parenting classes before we become parents which ultimately will benefit not only our offspring, but the folks who will be the parents. Alfie however was portrayed by Michael Caine in ’66 I believe. My all-time fav would have to be The Lion in Winter with Kate Hepburn. They were phenomenal together.

Thank you Danchi for the link. Wonderful read. For me, the mistake was in ever thinking AH was one of us. She is nothing more than a capitalist who will do anything to anyone for a buck. I am ashamed that I ever thought differently and have on occasion came to her defense.

I’ve actually seen even worse than those you list. It’s one thing to have maybe one ridiculous story a month but this has become so frequent one wonders if the likes of the Enquirer hasn’t interest in HP now. Seriously! They haven’t just lost contributors or posters but the decline in writing talent and journalism is shocking.

May we see a thread where the subject can be almost anything? For example, I’ve just discovered we’ve lost Peter O’Toole who apparently passed this morning. Such a loss of a beautiful and talented actor. I will miss those delightful blue eyes, that look and that voice. Can you imagine he never won an Academy Award for a specific performance? A lifetime achievement was awarded several years ago but sheesh! Another failure on the part of the Academy.

Also, here’s another idea. A blog on WHY ARE WE SO ANGRY, WHO ARE WE ANGRY AT AND HOW TO MANAGE ANGER and no one could write it better than you. This idea came up on the Newtown thread from our friend Murph.

Well, I’ve also closed my HP account. That was one of the absolute hardest things I’ve done in awhile, terminating a five year relationship. Ah well, as I said there all good things come to an end.

Pretty disgusting if you ask me. And most would emphatically claim Christian roots….supports my opinion that Christianity as is any and all religion is nothing more than a fallacy, created to justify in many cases, ripping up people from all walks of life to line the pockets of the rich.

Last week Charlie Rose got the ax, today Matt Lauer and countless others….one wonders, whose next? Certain men must surely be feeling quite paranoid right about now! Kudos of course to the brave souls who came forward but I am fearful of the power now held by unscrupulous types…any woman may now accuse a man and basically, that’s all it takes. Just that! These are certainly dangerous times for men folk imo! Are there bad apples out there? Absolutely! ON BOTH SIDES! Dangerous times folks! Guidelines need to be established and understood I think distinguishing the difference between a mere flirtation and out and out sexual harassment. Meanwhile, at soon to be 66, having worked since I was 16, I don’t ever recall being sexually harassed. I think I’m offended 🙂

It was a beautiful, impromptu ceremony and I teared up a little witnessing Biden’s clear surprise and gratitude? It has me wondering which POTUS & VP ever shared what it appears to be genuine affection, respect and love for one another as these two do. I will miss them both terribly?

No proof from Schumer, just belief which led to his refusal to approve the Iran deal. Not good enough for me and proves where and how he’ll side in the future.

I never understood why if China, the UK, the US, SK etc., own nuclear weapons, what was the problem if Iran did? They should all be eliminated but that won’t happen so why can’t Iran?

Watching the hearings and kudos to HRC for keeping her cool! I would have bitch slapped a couple of folks by now! IF I could hear from her that she will vigorously address the STANK of the criminal justice system in this country and insure the protection of specifically African Americans in same, AND, IF I can be assured that she will not continue the status quo for Israel in providing arms, money, intelligence and whatever else there is, I’m pretty sure I could live with an HRC presidency. I will NEVER vote for Sanders who has publicly announced at one of his forum meetings in some locality, that Israel has a right to exist. That was clear language for his commitment to promote Israel and ignore the genocide happening to the Palestinian people which remains unacceptable in any scenario! Again, HRC is handling the questions thus far like a real champion and in this regard alone, she’s a better woman than me. At least I have a better appreciation why it would be perilous for me to ever enter politics. I’d be sending memes to all my peeps from prison, “send cigarettes”!

Bernie needs to come clean about whether he supports Israel or whether he supports the US? He has already declared the former, and their right to exist but it’s gone a quite a bit past that now hasn’t it? What if his platform is to say what people want to hear only to get in office and lead us into a war defending the Israeli’s whose actions in the past two years at least is reprehensible?

Bernie needs to speak on foreign policy and specifically his intent with Israel!

It makes me so sad that he left us as he did clearly feeling as though he had no choice, and with all the resources one would or could want….I just don’t understand but at least it’s recognized how wonderful his talent and generosity was. On the front it does sound a bit barbaric but you know what KT, I’m not entirely sure I disagree. The sheer miracle of conception should not be marred with chemical agents. IF a woman acknowledges her dependence, she should be required by law instead to enter a treatment program immediately. Once she gives birth to hopefully a healthy child, then she can return to the lifestyle if she so desires having however rec’d counseling on birth control. why must it be automatically barbaric to criminalize a woman who helps to damage the health and welfare of her unborn? I support a woman’s right to abort, but to inflict pain and suffering on a child does seem criminal. At the end of the day, it’s about choices,is it not?
