There’s no other event like the National Conference for Media Reform. It’s simply the biggest conference about media reform, media policy and media activism in the country.
On April 8 -10, 2011, we’ll be focusing on the intersection of media and democracy, exploring the future of journalism and public media, debating the core technologies and politics shaping media policy, and discussing strategies, actions and movement-building techniques for better media.
Yet since I boycott msnbc too I don’t know where to get a short oversight of the news. Yahoo, google and HP are no options either.
Unfortunately several others are not like this and have simply disappeared.
It would have been nice if they had told me why they don’t want to participate anymore. I guess I’ll wait some more time and may then address those who wrote an email directly.
HP truly annoys me and I don’t know how I lived with that kind of thing for so long.

Moreover if several different groups relentlessly call her out for her hypocrisy and inconsistency, (especially concerning her painting herself as the big defender of the middle class and wanting to prevent a “third world America”) her reputation as a progressive will be tarnished.
Not that she cares about that, but too many progressives still buy into it that she’s somehow on their side. Therefore every step taken against her is excellent.
