deygirl, I have to leave now. I need some proper sleep for the first time in 2 weeks!!! Please let me know how we are going to proceed or/and what you think about my suggestions. If you had something completely else in mind than I have, we still need to figure out how to proceed. But please don’t expect me to be clairvoyant…
There are a lot more comments on your thread, and hihi, you as the author have to read them all….. Then you’re going to find also some more of my questions to you, most of them have remained unanswered so far. Take your time and think what is the next thing to do, then post it to me on top of the thread, else it’s hard to find now. Thanks, see you later and have a good time.

Intotheabyss, for example C-Street and the Pentagon are quite real forces. They raised hell to not get out of Afghanistan. Wall Street is powerful too. And so on. So yes, better to get behind the President and get done as much as is possible. It won’t get any better with a rethug.

As for contributing here: what would you like to do? The idea so far is to make this an ongoing series to collect material. All those who want to join write an article or two concerning HP, about an issue that is close to their heart. Let us know, what you find interesting to do. Probably you might like to write a small article about the way AH riled us up against each other, which hindered every discussion between right and left? It doesn’t have to be more than a slightly extended comment. And in the end we should find a way to piece the entire thing together into one article, at least that’s what is on my mind right now. What do you think?

I’m looking forward to your opinion how we should proceed. Since we didn’t clarify before starting the project I have no idea about your plans and ideas.

Yet if we make it a series, where everyone who participates writes a post or two, I had an excellent idea for the title of the series.

Deygirl, that would be great if AdLib could settle the email issue.

And wow, look at the dynamic that has already developed. I started out asking you, how to proceed…….. so my posts to you are already almost outdated.
Several people already want to join. If we can put something together and draw attention to Jon Stewart, Colbert and more, it would be good. Also, there are many disgruntled ex-Huff-bloggers.

Anyhow, how do you think should we proceed now? I’ve got an excellent name for the series too….

JMBrodie: I give Arianna credit for having brought us, a very fine poster community together, but sadly she did so for the wrong reasons. She did rile us up against the right and then each other, and this is something I won’t forget and which brought deep damage about. As Marion pointed out above, the whole Obama bashing practically started on Huffington Post! Arianna, who never could be criticized, not even mildly, criticized the President RELENTLESSLY from the day he was in office. She NEVER had his back. She profited big time from the election and right after she stabbed him in the back. For someone like that I don’t have fond memories. She stabbed our backs exactly the same way. In spite of that, I appreciate that one single good thing she did for us.

And the fact that we can gather here immediately is solely the work of the creators of The Planet. To them, I am deeply grateful. Here is, where my loyalty is.

I SOOOOOO agree with what you’re saying, Marion. This is exactly my gut feeling. But do we have anything more than our gut feelings to back it up? This is exactly the thing that I’m looking for in this thread: to get more background info and/or people who want to join to get a grip on this issue. Intotheabyss: cool! I’m new here too, so we’re going to need all the help we can get. PW is an excellent teacher and could also help get us neatly organized….
I’m just now digging the internet and found some more great stuff, will post it above soon. What is it what you want to write about? Just choose one or more subjects, and let me and deygirl know, in order for us to share the work. I came up with a fine title too…. but let’s wait until deygirl is back. Maybe we should share the email addresses in order to be able to contact each other, but the admins should do that so we don’t need to publish them. Let’s see how we can do that.

intotheabyss: I hate to admit it, but I think your theory may be very close to the truth. Actually, I would like to find out her hidden agenda – you know, the fact that she’s a respected member of a very shady mind cotrol cult, quite similar to scientology, but with a (unknown) religious slant leaves me wondering what this was all about. Or was it just for political, money and power reasons?
In any case, the truth should be known. I don’t think she should be allowed to pull a Palin and get away with the most outrageous and immoral behavior without even been called out for her behavior. The silence of the media is once more deafening!
To think we were not even allowed as much as to type “Arianna” leaves me speechless and shuddering.
