Displaying 151 To 180 Of 212 Comments Hi kids..I was in Madison on Saturday and just spoke on Thom Hartmann. You can catch me on tape delay out of Chicago around 2:53 CST today on WCPT.com I spoke about this…..Laurie from Waukegan Wis. governor greeted at Washburn fundraiser by thousands of protesters When you have well over 3000+ angry WI citizens show up on a cold Saturday Winters night, outside a private invitation only fund raiser in a far northern WI town, population 2271, to protest against your koch ordered budget, you are in big trouble. That’s what happened to scotty boy on Saturday in Washburn WI..read the article. Washburn WI is not a hotbed for protesters. http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/event/article/id/193744/ » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 14, 2011 @ 10:03 am I was one of the 100,000+ in Madison yesterday. I’m still on a high and wrapping my head around what is taking place there. I will write about my experience and thoughts in greater detail later. All I will say is when you have that many people gathered within a confined area for the most part, and police and sheriffs are smiling something good is going on. I see that it is getting little media coverage or discussion. IMO, this isn’t going away, our corporate owned media, the politicians in D.C., the kochs, and karl rove should be afraid, they should be very afraid. Folks in MI, IN, and OH are taking a page from WI and the backlash against these newly elected gop Midwestern governors is growing. I see 2011 turning into a watershed year like 1968. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 13, 2011 @ 9:21 am Tex..the mood is getting ugly in WI…walker rove and the kochs want it. The Madison police and the Dane County sheriffs were amazing tonight. walker lost their support today, it’s the Capitol police left to deal with this. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 10, 2011 @ 12:31 am I sent this to Morning Joe about 10 minutes ago… Joe and Mika: When will you two finally start reporting on the PEOPLES REVOLUTION taking place across the country and quit referring to WI as a union collective bargaining issue. Notice the protests going on in WI, MI, IN. and OH! CLASS WARFARE AND CITIZEN UNREST is happening right under your corporate owned media noses. We are ANGRY and plan to politically annihilate scott walker, snyder in MI, daniels and kasich. Talk about the koch brothers for once! Remember that koch phone call you swept under the rug as fast as your corporate masters told you to do We plan to take down karl rove as well Calls for a nationwide strike are taking place right now. Ask Michael Moore to come on, or are you both too afraid to air the truth? RT TV America is making a mockery of you. You two aren’t fit to share the same network as the brilliant real journalist Rachel Maddow. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 9:49 pm Folks are spending the night in the Capitol, they’ve locked the bathrooms. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 8:33 pm Live streaming from Madison Madison police and firemen are on air talking strike! http://www.livestream.com/theuptake » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 8:25 pm PW…I’m thinking they ( especially the WI 8 that are getting recalled) voted on it knowing it’s illegal, will have to be scrapped and start over without walker in the process. Far fetched wishful thinking on my part? » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 7:33 pm Wisconsin State Senate vote on severed budget bill is illegal There are several provisions of the severed budget bill passed by the Wisconsin State Senate that have fiscal aspects to them. This is clearly in violation of Senate rules and the quorum requirements established in the State Constitution. The legal advice that the Senate Republicans have been given (from a conservative Madison-area attorney) is incorrect. The vote was illegal. I read the WI AG a rethug is saying the smae thing, saw he was on MSNBC ttp://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/03/09/954572/-Wisconsin-State-Senate-vote-on-severed-budget-bill-is-illegal » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 7:19 pm Abby, I admire your restraint, because of you I will not post all the cuss words I know right now. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 7:01 pm KQ…thanks I needed a good laugh right now! » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 6:59 pm Based on posts that I’ve seen on the Milwaukee Journal website WI is about to implode. I’d say war has been declared on the koch brothers. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 6:57 pm PW..don’t tell me you and the Magster have man-i-cure nights:)) » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 6:52 pm PW….Something is going on. I’m not schooled enough in WI procedures, but the 8 GOPers that can be recalled can’t be this insane. I don’t know if changes can be made when the WI 14 come back. I’m going to Madison on Saturday, taking a bus up out of Kenosha. Bastelready is sending me details, she’s going too. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 6:49 pm The Political Carnival UPDATES- Dems believe WI GOP vote was illegal UPDATE: Watching Rachel Maddow as we speak. Sen. Erpenbach is on with her now. “What they did is violate law. This will probably end up in court…. If we don’t, someone will take [this] to court. As it stands right now, we’re staying out of the state … we don’t trust the GOP, Walker. The entire state of WI is ashamed of them. We won’t go back because of the games they could play. There is unanimity on this, yes.” http://thepoliticalcarnival.net/2011/03/09/updates-dems-believe-wi-gop-vote-was-illegal/ » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 6:42 pm I don’t want WI to turn into another AZ. That being said I can post this here..I got an email a few days ago from someone in WI, not a family member but someone who knows WI law enforcement people. Tensions are rampant in WI right now. The email said that airport security is supposedly being ramped up at the small town rural airports that dot the WI landscape if Walker is to fly in. Most of these airports are at the edge of these towns, surrounded by woods for the most part. It is very very easy to hide out in these woods. Wi is a big hunting state, lots of folks with deer hunting rifles. Draw your own conclusions. My friends, please don’t get me wrong, I am not advocating violence in any way shape or form. This is something that WI law enforcement officials are dealing with now. I don’t know if threats were made or if this is a precautionary measure. I’ve not read anything about this, I’m not surprised. I wouldn’t want folks to get any ideas by making that public. I’ve not heard from my WI sisters the teachers, they are probably in shock or talking with co-workers right now. I do know that the legitimacy of this maneuver is in question and talks of lawsuits are already out there. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 6:34 pm Random thoughts and mindless blather from me today. Remember the song “Celebrate” by Three Dog Night? There is a parody waiting to be written to that tune titled “Caliphate” and should be sent to Rep. Peter King and Glenn Beck, just so they can implode. I will be back later, I did call the MI governors office this morning and opined regarding his bill to dismantle financially underwater MI cities and towns, appoint his corporate cronies to oversee them and hire out all services. Did anyone see Rachel Maddow last night? It’s a must see video. Scary stuff in MI today, these gop mother fucker governors are hell bent on selling off their states. They have to be stopped now! » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 9, 2011 @ 7:45 am :))) That’s great, I love it! Great steady video hand there as well. I loved the birds chirping in the background. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 7, 2011 @ 4:49 pm Adonai, I was truly shocked looking at the physique of some of these young men, especially the lower class weights. Their thighs and calves were smaller than most womens easily. I agree with you about the NCAA, its a business and once finished with these guys, those that don’t turn pro face a real shock when tossed out into the world. I have to credit Northwestern though, they have one of the highest graduation rates in the country. They demand it of their athletes. The fact that Northwestern is in the Big 10 is still a mystery to me. My two oldest daughters went to Lehigh and Cornell Universities respectfully, both institutions with high graduation rates as well. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 7, 2011 @ 4:39 pm Random thoughts and observations. I worked all weekend at the Big 10 Wrestling Tournament at Northwestern. I will post this upfront, if I offend anyone I’m sorry. Wrestlers and their fans are a breed of people unto themselves, I don’t get the lure of the sport. I saw more anorexic young men than I cared to. I worked in an area where they warmed up and trained. I saw fingers down the throat so they would throw up and make weight a few times. I’m glad my son never got into that sport. They tend to take each other down at the drop of a hat and just start wrestling. Don’t get me started on the gross wrestling mats either! As I said random thoughts and observations, that is all. My co-worker the stalker who doesn’t get that I have a fake boyfriend that I told him about to make him leave me alone, that’s another random thoughts and observation post. To be continued. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 7, 2011 @ 4:16 pm Folks on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel website liked this post of mine, I got quite a few thumbs up….. Remember how Curly Howard of the Three Stooges sounds when he is exasperated and knows he’s in over his head? Those are the sounds coming from walkers office tonight. RRrrhumph! RRrrhumph! RRrrhumph! » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 4, 2011 @ 4:56 pm Great picture and the greenery looks nice right now as well! » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 4, 2011 @ 4:51 pm Hey there…G man sent me a CD of the interview. You were fantastic! » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 4, 2011 @ 4:50 pm Hi kids, I’m back. I’ve been over “there” a lot this week on the WI threads. It’s been therapeutic to slam trolls. I’ve got a lot of skin in the WI mess. That being said here is some great news… HA …from the right wing National Journal….. Wisconsin Republicans Reportedly Wavering on Union Bill Wisconsin conservatives are worried that three Republican state senators are wavering on the controversial bill to curb union power, The Wall Street Journal’s Stephen Moore reports. The GOP has a 19-to-14 majority in the senate, which means that if more than two Republicans switch sides, the bill will be voted down. That is, if the Democrats who fled to Illinois ever return. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 4, 2011 @ 2:55 pm Chase I’m back at HP because it truly is therapeutic being on the WI threads and telling trolls to shove it as best as I can. I’m sick of those fucking nimrods maligning my two sisters , the WI teachers. Per POV guidelines, I’m not naming names but I like slamming certain ones with facts. I saw you last night. I’m kochsarecrooks, my pic is Lily Thomlin as Ernestine the operator:)) I’ll see how long I last. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 1, 2011 @ 1:09 pm Patsy…12:50 PST » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 1, 2011 @ 10:36 am Buddy…..Go to “radiotime.com” and look for the Progressive selections and you can find links from there. Thanks PW, I cut and pasted this from you. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 1, 2011 @ 10:34 am Listen for Patrick from Conroe TX. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 1, 2011 @ 10:30 am PW is on around 50 minutes into Thom’s first hour, just an FYI. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 1, 2011 @ 10:20 am I hear you. If you weren’t so close to the hour I think you would have been given another minute or so. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 1, 2011 @ 10:17 am We’ll talk later, but I have to tell you my nephew who is from PF and now an Oshkosh fireman is one of those walker voters filled with remorse. His eyes have been opened these last two weeks like no tomorrow. The koch power plant and land grab has him fuming. He’s a hunter and fisherman. His step-father works for WI DNR. He’s 33 and has finally woken up. » Posted By Thefoxislaur On March 1, 2011 @ 10:10 amComments Posted By Thefoxislaur
I have a creepy co-worker story I’ll share with you later. He’s kind of a stalker. Sunday is the last time I’ll have to deal with him for awhile.
