There was a part of the Chris Wallace interview where trump said he takes responsibility for COVID-19 missteps, but at the same time he blamed everyone EXCEPT himself.

Although I am a Vietnam era vet, I am not a combat vet. In fact, when I was in the Air Force in the 1970s, very few airmen other than gunners actually went into combat zones. We supported the pilots and crews who went into combat zones.

I cannot express how disappointed I am in ANY soldier who would obey an order to arrest a civilian for peaceably protesting. I have always taken the position that I did not put my life on the line to protect a flag or a song, rather I put my life on the line to protect the values our flag stands for. If there were soldiers when I served, who would obey an order to arrest a civilian for peaceably protesting, I would stake my life on the probability that there were very few of them.

Considering his enormous impact on the history of this country, what always struck those who met John was his gentleness and humility. Born into modest means in the heart of the Jim Crow South, he understood that he was just one of a long line of heroes in the struggle for racial justice.

I am always impressed with humbleness that is combined with extraordinary selflessness. John Lewis was the embodiment of these attributes.

This is an interesting paradox. Are black people anti-Semitic if they don’t denounce Minister Louis Farrakhan?

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/despite-recent-anti-semitic-comments-jews-and-black-people-have-long-been-allies/ar-BB16T2pl?ocid=msedgdhp

Personally, I don’t denounce people, rather I denounce the words and actions of people. Sort of like, “Love the sinner, but hate the sin”. No, this phrase is not found anywhere in the Christian Bible, ALTHOUGH it is supported by scripture. There are many, but here are a couple:

Luke 11:4

And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us…

Romans 2:11

For there is no respect of persons with God.

Some people disagree with this concept.

https://medium.com/@joe.forrest1/love-the-sinner-hate-the-sin-why-christians-should-retire-their-favorite-phrase-fe669ccca9b6

However, to the person on the receiving end of “Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin,” it can sound frustratingly judgmental, condescending, and manipulative.
“Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin” highlights the virtues of one person against the perceived sinfulness of another, conveniently placing the ‘Lover’ in a position of moral superiority over the ‘Sinner.’
It’s not compassion, and it’s definitely not grace.

As a believer of The Law Of One, I believe that everyone is my other self, and therefore how can I forgive myself for “sins”, if I don’t also forgive my other selves for “sins”. Additionally, The Law Of One teaches that really there are no “sins”, as everyone is given a free will distortion that no one should attempt to infringe. I may not agree with your free will words or actions, but I accept your free will to experience them, even though I might also accept the free will of a society to hold you and I accountable for them.

I denounce hatred from Farrakhan, even if I believe it is mistakenly based on anger for what he perceives as justified, as much as I denounce hatred from trump, regardless of his perceived justifications. YET, I MUST love BOTH Farrakhan and Trump.

An American icon has left. I don’t morn John Lewis, rather I celebrate his legacy in his most recent incarnation. He is not dead. Indeed, he is very much alive, much more so than many whose physical vehicles have not yet expired.

I heard someone say that one cannot praise John Lewis’ life, while at the same time opposing things he fought for, such as voting rights. In fact, a tribute to him would be to dedicate ourselves to abolishing not only voter suppression, but also the Electoral College and replacing it with one person, one vote. Every vote should count, and count equally. If a citizen is of voting age, their vote should count as much as anyone’s vote in any zip code. Their vote should count as much as any of the 538 people who comprise the Electoral College.

I celebrate Congressman John R. Lewis, my brother.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/federal-agents-unleash-militarized-crackdown-on-portland/ar-BB16RViK?ocid=msedgdhp

PORTLAND, Ore. — Federal agents dressed in camouflage and tactical gear have taken to the streets of Portland, unleashing tear gas, bloodying protesters and pulling some people into unmarked vans in what Gov. Kate Brown of Oregon has called “a blatant abuse of power.”

No one in the United States military has to obey an unlawful order. In fact, if a soldier commits a crime as a result of carrying out an unlawful order, that soldier can be prosecuted for that crime.

18 U.S. Code § 1385.Use of Army and Air Force as posse comitatus

Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

Trump is committing a crime by using the military to police U.S. citizens without being requested to do so by the governor of the state. Anyone who carries out trump’s unlawful orders are acting as an accessory to a crime. Trump is lawless and he can get away with it because the American government is weak and corrupt and American citizens are passive. Trump knows this.

This is a story that needs to be pursued. Surely Lisa Bloom would not have been involved with someone who filed a $100 million lawsuit against a presidential candidate if that person did not exist or if she did not think her claim was credible. We know trump paid Stormy Daniels and others to kill their stories about consensual affairs. How much would he be willing to pay to keep the world from knowing that he and Epstein together, raped a 13 year old girl.

I hope if Lindsey Graham calls Mueller to testify before the Senate, Democrats will ask Mueller if he was asked to investigate these charges as a part of his investigation of trump.

The sum total was that the press didn’t know what to make of Johnson or those surrounding her, and moved on to other controversies such as the Access Hollywood tape and the Stormy Daniels payoff.

But since multiple women emerged this year with shockingly similar stories about how Epstein recruited and sexually enslaved them as young girls, some of the people who believed Johnson in 2016 say her claims should be reconsidered today.

“Katie’s story mimics those that have come out in the past several months,” Goldman wrote. “She was very forthcoming and also a very reluctant person. She only decided to do something when she saw that there was a chance that Trump could become President.”

Goldman and two other attorneys represented Johnson from Sept. 30 to Nov. 4, 2016. Before they represented her, Johnson’s first lawsuit was dismissed for failing to cite an actionable civil rights claim. It sought $100 million in damages and described in graphic detail allegations against both Trump and Epstein, a one-time financier accused of hosting underage sex parties for the obscenely rich.

SN&R corresponded via text with a person who identified as “Katie Johnson” in May 2016 and recently traced the phone number to a Southern California esthetician. Goldman said he couldn’t reveal Johnson’s true identity, but stressed that she “is and was a real person.”

“There were real threats which forced her to drop the law suit,” he added.

On the day Johnson was supposed to participate in a press conference arranged by attorney Lisa Bloom, whom the attorneys hired to conduct their media outreach, Johnson’s car and cellphone were stolen, Goldman said. “This freaked her out and that is when she decided not to go through with it.”

Bloom, the daughter of feminist civil rights attorney Gloria Allred, has come under fire recently for her behind-the-scenes work to discredit Harvey Weinstein’s accusers.

As for Johnson, Goldman says he has no way of contacting her. The attorney didn’t respond to questions about whether a blurred-out video purporting to show Johnson being interviewed was of his one-time client. But SN&R obtained what appears to be a letter from a combative “never Trump” conservative who arranged for the video to be made. The June 30, 2017 letter from Illinois political donor Steve Baer is marked “confidential,” directed to then-Special Counsel Robert Mueller and copied to numerous others, including “select” media.

In the 10-page document, which includes an unblurred image of Johnson from her video interview, Baer urges Mueller to investigate the claims of the pseudonymous “Katie Johnson,” writing that his group, Freedom Partners Trust V, while skeptical that the president colluded with the Russians or obstructed justice, does believe Johnson.

“The current President of the United States raped a 13-year-old girl in 1994,” writes Baer, who has been credited with other aggressive email campaigns.

Baer could not be reached for comment.

Lindsey Graham says he wants Mueller to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee because there are claims by trump, Barr, Graham and others that the reason the FBI began the investigation of the trump campaign during the 2016 election was criminal on the part of the FBI. In point of fact, trump has had several former FBI agents fired and prosecuted for investigating trump and his campaign.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/graham-to-call-mueller-to-testify-before-senate-judiciary-committee/ar-BB16Egz9?ocid=msedgntp

Mind you that during the campaign, the FBI kept that investigation secret, while at the same time publicly investigating Clinton’s emails. Although I don’t know what was going on behind the scenes related to the FBI investigating the trump campaign during the Obama administration, I do know what was going publicly related to the trump campaign and Russia.

For starters, trump made this request to Russia, PUBLICLY, during the campaign:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b71f2eYdTc

Further, during the campaign there were many reports from news outlets about trump’s dealings with Deutsche Bank and the fact that Deutsche Bank had been laundering money for Russia for years and that since the 1990s no American bank would lend money to trump, but Deutsche Bank would. Additionally, Roger Stone was tweeting about his involvement with Wikileaks during the campaign related to leaks of emails from the DNC and the Clinton campaign. Trump, in fact, PUBLICLY stated that he LOVES Wikileaks.

If the FBI had not been investigating the trump campaign’s PUBLIC links to Russia before the election, the question would be WHY. Republicans and even some Democrats were calling for an investigation of the Clintons before the election related to contributions made by Russians to the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton campaign. Since republicans controlled Congress before 2017, why didn’t they investigate the Clintons related those charges? The obvious answer is that there were no legal basis for an investigation, although it appears that when trump took office, the DOJ actually did investigate the Clintons.

Wait a minute! Hold the phone! Stop the music! Aren’t the Clinton’s private citizens? And neither of them are running for president. Yet, the trump administration investigated them. Why would it be illegal to investigate trump’s ties with Russia during his presidential campaign, but not illegal to investigate the Clintons, by the same people who say it was illegal to investigate trump???

I love the gospel music of the Winans. One of their songs, The Question Is, is appropriate for trump. Not the spiritual part of it of course, but simply the question(s).

Trump said for a long time that he would release his tax returns when the audit was completed. Everyone knows that if trump wanted the so-called audit to end, it would have ended on the first day of his administration, IF there were an actual audit. So the question is, why is trump’s taxes still under audit. The next question is, IF the audit is complete, why hasn’t he released his returns as he promised.

The question is, IF Roger Stone doesn’t have anything incriminating to say about trump related to Russian interference in the 2016 election and trump’s part in it, why would trump be so invested in Stone not talking.

The question is, IF the July 2016 meeting between trump jr., Manafort, Kushner, and Veselnitskaya was not about gathering dirt on Hillary Clinton, why would trump dictate a letter to the press about a meeting he neither attended or even knew about?

The question is, IF Flynn was not talking to Kislyak about sanctions against Russia while both Flynn and trump were still private citizens with no authority to have such a discussion, why would Flynn lie about it and why would trump say Flynn was just doing his job?

The question is, IF trump did not instruct Michael Cohen to pay hush money to Stormy Daniels to keep voters from knowing about it, why did he make every attempt to hide it.

The question is, IF trump and epstein did not rape a 13 year old girl, why and HOW has trump been able to keep that trial from going forward for decades?

The question is, IF trump’s conversations with Putin are in the interest of the United States and not trump and Putin, why would in so many of them no other American is present.

The sad part about all of these question and many others is that we know the answers and either our system is not equipped to provide an adequate remedy, or those who are in power of the system are too weak or too corrupt to provide an adequate remedy. In the final analysis the remedy lies with the people/voters, but a more responsible and responsive system is needed than a vote every four years. If the democratic experiment of The United States of America is to survive long term, we real checks and balances in place to prevent anyone like trump from EVER becoming president, and IF by chance someone of that character manages to rise to that level, there are remedies in place to remove them.

I wish someone in the press would ask Biden and trump the question in a debate, in your administration will you abolish the policy that a sitting president cannot be indicted for crimes committed. We already know how each candidate will respond to that question, but it will be on record if someone actually asks the question.

When Americans take our government back from Putin…, I mean trump and republicans in November, although we have to guard against seeking revenge, we MUST prosecute trump and those who aided and abetted him in the commission of his crimes. Just as we are attempting to tear down symbols of racism in our society, he must also ABSOLUTELY protect the rule of law that trump has basically pissed all over.

Trump was impeached for cause by the House of Representatives, albeit along party lines. He has acted as open as is humanly possible as a puppet for Putin.

Most legal scholars interpret the two decisions handed down by the SCOTUS yesterday to say that NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.

https://www.law.com/nationallawjournal/2020/07/09/key-quotes-what-the-justices-said-about-demands-for-trumps-financial-records/?slreturn=20200610080520

Roberts for the majority:

“The president is not above the law: “Two hundred years ago, a great jurist of our Court established that no citizen, not even the President, is categorically above the common duty to produce evidence when called upon in a criminal proceeding. We reaffirm that principle today and hold that the President is neither absolutely immune from state criminal subpoenas seeking his private papers nor entitled to a heightened standard of need.”

As I appreciate it, Kavanaugh and Gorsuch agreed with the majority that the president is not above the law.

These two decisions COULD BE, and I think they will be far more reaching than most people are currently thinking. This is the first time in our history that the SCOTUS has actually written in an opinion that no one is above the law. “No one” has to mean NO ONE, NOT EVEN THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

In fact, it has to mean that ESPECIALLY the person who is charged with overseeing the enforcement of our laws, is indeed SUBJECTED to the same laws he/she enforces. THEREFORE, the Office of Legal Counsel’s 1973 “POLICY”, not “LAW”, was essentially shot down yesterday. Since no one is above the law, a sitting president being someone, is not above the law, and can be indicted for crimes, just as everyone else.

Although trump will probably escape indictment as a sitting president, given the current state of the Department of Justice and the U.S. Senate, no future president will be able to escape indictment due to this unconstitutional “POLICY”.

“Even if someone is infected by the novel coronavirus and remains asymptomatic — free of coughing, fever, fatigue and other common signs of infection, that doesn’t mean the coronavirus isn’t taking a toll. The virus can still be causing mild — although likely reversible — harm to their lungs.

A new paper in Nature Medicine, published June 18, documents the clinical patterns of asymptomatic infections. It finds that many of the people studied developed signs of minor lung inflammation — akin to walking pneumonia — while exhibiting no other symptoms of the coronavirus.

The study shows that being asymptomatic doesn’t always mean that no damage has occurred in someone’s body;…”

You want to talk about taking down the vestiges of slavery and misogyny? At the top of the list should be eliminating the electoral college.

In a unanimous decision the Supreme Court ruled the other day that faithless electoral college voters are unconstitutional. Even Justice Kagan ERRONEOUSLY wrote:

Electoral College delegates have “no ground for reversing” the statewide popular vote. That, she said, “accords with the Constitution — as well as with the trust of the Nation that here, We the People rule.”

https://www.npr.org/2020/07/06/885168480/supreme-court-rules-state-faithless-elector-laws-constitutional

The truth is that when the Constitution was framed the people were not trusted by the framers to be intellectually or morally capable of choosing a president, and women and black people could not even vote at all.

At the time the electoral college was established the question was should the president be chosen by the people or by Congress. A compromised that was highly influenced by slavery, was that electors would be chosen by the states.

https://www.history.com/news/electoral-college-founding-fathers-constitutional-convention

“In 1787, roughly 40 percent of people living in the Southern states were black slaves, who couldn’t vote. James Madison from Virginia—where slaves accounted for 60 percent of the population—knew that either a direct presidential election, or one with electors divvied up according to free white residents only, wouldn’t fly in the South.

The result was the controversial “three-fifths compromise,” in which black slaves would be counted as three-fifths of a person for the purpose of allocating representatives and electors and calculating federal taxes. The compromise ensured that Southern states would ratify the Constitution and gave Virginia, home to more than 200,000 slaves, a quarter (12) of the total electoral votes required to win the presidency (46).”

The primary intent of the electoral college was to prevent a man (women were not even considered) like Donald J. Trump from being seated as President of The United States EVEN IF the majority of the people voted for him. The reason Congress was not chosen to be the electors was to prevent the process from being corrupted by political loyalty.

This is what Hamilton wrote in Federalist 68:

https://avalon.law.yale.edu/18th_century/fed68.asp

“It was also peculiarly desirable to afford as little opportunity as possible to tumult and disorder. This evil was not least to be dreaded in the election of a magistrate, who was to have so important an agency in the administration of the government as the President of the United States. But the precautions which have been so happily concerted in the system under consideration, promise an effectual security against this mischief. The choice of SEVERAL, to form an intermediate body of electors, will be much less apt to convulse the community with any extraordinary or violent movements, than the choice of ONE who was himself to be the final object of the public wishes. And as the electors, chosen in each State, are to assemble and vote in the State in which they are chosen, this detached and divided situation will expose them much less to heats and ferments, which might be communicated from them to the people, than if they were all to be convened at one time, in one place.

Nothing was more to be desired than that every practicable obstacle should be opposed to cabal, intrigue, and corruption. These most deadly adversaries of republican government might naturally have been expected to make their approaches from more than one querter, but chiefly from the desire in foreign powers to gain an improper ascendant in our councils. How could they better gratify this, than by raising a creature of their own to the chief magistracy of the Union? But the convention have guarded against all danger of this sort, with the most provident and judicious attention. They have not made the appointment of the President to depend on any preexisting bodies of men, who might be tampered with beforehand to prostitute their votes; but they have referred it in the first instance to an immediate act of the people of America, to be exerted in the choice of persons for the temporary and sole purpose of making the appointment. And they have excluded from eligibility to this trust, all those who from situation might be suspected of too great devotion to the President in office. No senator, representative, or other person holding a place of trust or profit under the United States, can be of the numbers of the electors. Thus without corrupting the body of the people, the immediate agents in the election will at least enter upon the task free from any sinister bias. Their transient existence, and their detached situation, already taken notice of, afford a satisfactory prospect of their continuing so, to the conclusion of it. The business of corruption, when it is to embrace so considerable a number of men, requires time as well as means. Nor would it be found easy suddenly to embark them, dispersed as they would be over thirteen States, in any combinations founded upon motives, which though they could not properly be denominated corrupt, might yet be of a nature to mislead them from their duty.”

So today, IF WE TRUST THE PEOPLE TO CHOOSE THE CHIEF MAGISTRATE, we must eliminate the electoral college altogether, and elect The President of The United States like we elect everyone else, by the popular vote, the vote of the people.

When will bad cops stop unnecessarily killing suspects? When they are held accountable for it. Mr. Garcia was not even a suspect. He was in his car, parked in a driveway. New accounts say it was even his own driveway.

The police have released footage of a body cam of AFTER the shooting, but not BEFORE or DURING the shooting. They claim Mr. Garcia pulled out a gun and pointed it at them and told them to kill him. It is possible that the police story is true, by WHY would they release body cam footage of after the shooting but not before or during the shooting? Even if what they are saying is true, this increases suspicion.

This is a very important statement:

“Roberts and the other corrupt racists on the SCOTUS, who justified their destruction of the VRA by declaring racism is over, claimed the VRA was no longer legit because it targeted the Repub states that have and continue to disenfranchise voters of color and Dems.”

The majority in the SCOTUS made a ruling based on their premise that racism was over. Now that they see the error of that decision, they should revise that ruling even without a new case being brought. The same goes for the Citizens United decision because it was based on the premise by the majority that there was no corruption in campaigns.

“in Citizens United, a bare majority of the justices held that “independent political spending” did not present a substantive threat of corruption, provided it was not coordinated with a candidate’s campaign.”

About 100 million eligible voters did not vote in 2016. That is more votes than either Clinton or trump received.

After realizing what a buffoon they were for not voting, and how that buffoonery resulted in the election of a buffoon, PRAYFULLY at least some of these people will vote in 2020.

The only way trump can win re-election in 2020 is if he cheats. Of course, we all know trump would NEVER cheat. At least this time the binary choice is not between voting trump or voting for Hillary. Rather, this time the binary choice is voting for trump or voting for America. Btw, that was also the binary choice in 2016, but some people obviously didn’t know that.

The Supreme Court granted an appeal to the lower court’s ruling that the trump administration had to turn over grand jury documents to Congress. If at least four justices agree to hear a dispute, the case will proceed.

The decision to grant the appeal means at least four of the court’s nine justices agreed to hear the dispute, with a decision due by the end of the court’s term in June 2021.

In Eastland v. United States Servicemen’s Fund(1975) the court ruled that the subpoena power of Congress is absolute under the Speech or Debate Clause of the Constitution.

Traditionally, the court refuses to hear cases related to the absolute power of Congress to subpoena because it is a political issue. I SUSPECT the four justices who agreed to hear this case are Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. The decision to hear the case in the next session means no ruling will be handed down until after the election, which means the court has inserted itself into the election by denying the people to have knowledge of trump’s crimes.

Someone asked Biden in the press conference he is doing, what should happen to trump if he indeed knew about the bounties Russia put on American soldiers and he did nothing about it. Biden essentially said the people should realized that trump should not be president. From my perspective that answer fell short.

Not that congressional republicans will do anything to hold trump accountable, but that should not stop Democrats from speaking to what should happen. The House of Representatives should amend the Articles of Impeachment to include treason. The justice department should arrest trump, even if they have to arrest Barr first.

Not only the 70 cases you referenced, but the 400 YEARS of black people being terrorized by white people, INCLUDING LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THE INJUSTICE SYSTEM.

What was different of George Floyd? Some people say it was the video that people all over the world saw. Most people in the world know about the 400 years of terrorism, with many murders far worse than the Floyd murder. I think something else is different.

The planet Earth no longer supports the kind of behavior white people in the USA have exhibited toward black people, or other tyrants in the world have exhibited toward others. Yes, some people still don’t think that black lives or any lives matter. If they say, “all lives matter”, they are lying, because you have to include black lives in order to get to “all lives”.

The vibrations the Earth receives from the Universe no longer supports the orientation that allowed this behavior to exist. The overwhelming numbers of people on Earth will no longer stand for it because they have evolved. People like trump and his supporters that he still appeals to will evolve, or the Earth will swallow them.

Note that the reporter asked Putin if he wanted trump to win AND did he direct any of his officials to help him do that. Putin responded, “Yes I did. Yes I did.” Not one “Yes I did”, but TWO, “Yes I dids.”

I was in the United States Air Force from 1973-1978 and the entire time I was in the military and since after WWII, Russia was the number one enemy of the USA. When Putin directed a cyber attack against American democracy in 2016, he did so as an enemy of the USA. ANYONE who gave aid and comfort to Putin in that attack committed an act of treason.

We were warned that trump was a Russian puppet.

Matt Borges was president of the Ohio Republican Party in 2016, and he said he held his nose and voted for trump in 2016. He is now saying he will not vote for trump in 2020.

“Nothing was going to get me to vote for Hillary Clinton. I grew up in this business learning to fight against everything the Clintons were for. I knew her, and in my mind, I knew what a Clinton presidency was going to be like,” said Borges, who helped form an anti-Trump super PAC. “A lot of folks are like me. They understand that Joe Biden isn’t the same kind of candidate.”

People like Borges are more responsible for the state of affairs we find ourselves in today than trump is. When you say you grew up learning to fight against everything the Clintons were for, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING?

Bill Clinton was a two-term president of the United States from the Democratic Party. Hillary Clinton was an advisor to her husband, as are most wives. Her first public office was as senator from New York. When she was in the senate, she was praised by her constituents and her colleagues on both sides of the aisle. She ran a hard fought campaign for the nomination for president representing Democratic Party in 2008 and the winner of that contest chose her as his secretary of state. In 2016 she was the first woman to win the nomination for president of a major political party. What all of this should have informed Mr. Borges and others is that a lot of people supported what the Clintons were for.

If one could see what Hillary Clinton was for, but chose to vote for trump and against Clinton, what does that say about that person? Although I welcome Mr. Borges’ vote for Joe Biden in 2020, that does not excuse him and people like him of their responsibility for the state the world is in as a result of a trump presidency.
