My cousin and I had a cloud staring contest one day, who could make the cloud disappear first by staring at it. We later learned it was atmospheric conditions that made clouds disappear but we really thought we were onto something that day.
I will have to peruse that book. With his connections I would think if it has any connection it would be against these people.
You and their denominations can thank the Institute for Religion and Democracy for that (IRD). It is called steeplejacking. People simply do not believe these people are hijacking Mainstream Religion.
