My dad had to have his hands operated on three times because of the farm equipment steering wheels vibrations. These are not jobs you can do when you are in your 80s! It takes every job and every employee doing their best, no matter how unimportant it may seem to those at the top, to make a company successful. We are going to need these guys to get out and vote for the President. I am sorry, I don’t think attacking them about their disagreements or disappoints will help matters. I think educating them on why their disagreements might not be as big a concerned as they may feel and that disappointments may be made better in the Presidents second term. One of the reasons that Walker won was that they 18-29 only voted at 12%. It is hard for some people to understand that you don’t always get what you want and that sometimes the President wasn’t able to get those things because of the Repugs not letting anything pass. I heard something before that I have repeated to a young person today that felt like Obama wasn’t as progressive as they thought he would be. I repeated what I had heard: “Well, President Franklin Roosevelt was very conservative his first term. But, he was twice as progressive his second term. That is when he got the New Deal and the regulation on the banks and so much more.” And, I added that President Obama was going to be that way I think his second term but we have to get him re-elected and a lot more Dems in Congress. Well, this is interesting news. It seems that Mittens hasn’t really got his investments in a blind trust. What he has is about $250 million in trust accounts which are managed by his personal lawyer, and which continue to receive payments from Bain Capital which are classified as “carried interest.”
Another example of Romney’s hypocrisy with regard to China is the relationship between his investments and his policy declarations. A look at Romney’s record alongside his financial disclosures indicates that he was for China before he was against them, and his investment record aligns with that. In late 2011, Romney’s campaign rhetoric took a hard turn against Chinese trade practices. Just before that, he divested himself of $1.5 million in Chinese investments.
