Thank you. I didn’t mention in that story that I was divorced from the girls father. If Mr.T had been in our life at that time, I assure you he would have put all 3 of us on his back and got us up that hill fast. I was so lucky to have a dad like mine and he was very dedicated to both his daughters. When I bought Mr.T back to MO to marry, my dad took him aside and said: “I am turning those 3 over to you now. Something tells me they are going to be alright. But, never forget I am watching you.” Mr.T says he knows he is still being watched. And, Dad was right about him.
I love your story, too. People sometimes just need to be reminded that it is okay to get to know one another. In my neighborhood, they know my great dane more than me. We have people coming up and asking where he is. We dont know them but they know him!

I got a message from one of my friends that was already a friend to add them again. I did and immediately I was asked to chat. I asked why I had to add them again and they said because they lost their password. That sounded strange. They proceded to tell me that they had gotten $100,000 from America’ Deaf and ???? They had seen my name on the list and I was listed to receive $70,000 and I needed to got to…………….Anyway, I thought, hmmmmm I don’t think this is my friend……………so, I asked a question that my friend would only know the answer. No answer. I then said I was reporting them and click, they were gone. Watch out for that, too.

Abbyrose86 and JdMin17, you brought a precious memory to me with your snow trouble stories. I hope you don’t mind me sharing.

Decades ago, in Missouri, for weeks we were having snow on top of snow, on top of snow. It was setting records. Snowplows couldn’t get to all the streets, let alone roads. They had to give dedicated snow routes and clear only those. Well, I didn’t live on one. The road at the bottom of the hill had been plowed once, so, I could get that close to home that night after work and after picking my two girls up from the babysitter. I left the car down there and proceded up the hill with two babies, 6 and 4 yrs. The youngest I carried and tried to make a path for the older. I would have to set the baby down and go back for the older ever so many feet. It took me 40 mins to get up the hill which was under 2 blocks long. When I got us in the house the phone was ringing. It was my mother and dad checking to be sure I got home. I told them about my venture with the girls and getting up the hill. 3 hours later I heard a tractor outside. I ran to look and there was my dad. He had drove that tractor with a snowplow on the front some 35 miles. He cleared the road and every driveway on the road. My neighbors were running out of their homes thanking him and offering him money. He answered them with this: “I don’t want your money. All I ask from you is the next time you see that girl and her babies trying to get up that hill, you come out and help her.” He didn’t go home until he had cleared every road in our neighborhood, the grocery store’s parking lot, the church’s, and the school’s grounds and parking lot. He never asked for any money, never expected any, and would not take it when offered. A very special farmer, card packing Teamster until the day he died at 78 climbing down from a tractor. I miss him everyday. I support Unions.

Abby, I don’t know if you remember me but I was the one that always followed your comment with some little thing I thought I could add. You diffently didn’t need my imput. You are one of the reasons I checked this out. When someone said you had gone here, well, here I came to see if I could follow you some more. You are missed on HP by many people. Many of you on here are.
I am a regular on another site that has nothing to do with subject matters such as these. It is a young site and I am know as BBGrandma. I love it! HP was my newspaper of choice and that is why I started giving comments because I felt I had a lot in common with most on there. It has changed but they do have a lot of people still checking it out. I would hate for someone to walk away from a cause because they saw all those negative comments. It appears there is more of them and gives a false impression. I know I am not anything important to them but I might be to someone. I do miss you there, Abby. Glad I have found you.

Thank you, PocketWatch. I do think I graduated from the “School of Hard Knocks” with extra credits. I once had a six figure salary that I rose from a clerk to President. I work 60 to 70 hrs and had people working for me with an average of 10 yrs serving with me and for me. After 25 years of service, an illness took that job and all my savings. The company did not care. You are dispensable. (The company close 2 yrs after.) I am on SSD but I have a wonderful husband, Teamster, with one of those “cadillac plans” that have kept the little we still have. I can tell you that you can live with a lot less and still be happy. When I see how things have changed in this country, I only wish I still had the strength of my youth. When I was young enough to protest against the war in Vietnam, march with my friends of color, ride with my father on his tractor to the Capitol for the small farmers against corporate take over, and demand with my feminine voice the rights for equal pay, jobs and choice for my girlfriends. Oh, for those legs again! So, with this board I type and fight on HP. I have been called names including a drunk by these things that post and run on there. Words can’t hurt but they can stink. Thanks to Mother Nature and my legal drugs, I show my persistence. (Gee, PocketWatch, I forgot to tell you I still have my soap box. Sorry.)

I know many of you have left HP for several reasons. I haven’t totally. I do come here and read all your comments. I don’t feel like I fit in here because I am not as educated as you all seem to be. I only graduated from the “School of Hard Knocks”. I don’t think I can contribute much of any benefit. My computer skills are limited, so, you won’t see anything to cleaver from me. But, I do like to read all you have to offer. HP still has several of my friends. So, I go there to help with their fight. The site has been over-run by trolls or whatever those guys are that get paid for commenting. They are like every other comment shown. It is sad because so many good people are attacked regularly and the threads are blogged down. I can see why people sometimes choose to sit out of things even if they are for a cause. It is a pitty. I just thought I would let you know in case you had friends there, too. However, more are leaving everyday. Well, thank you for your time. I think I will go troll hunting later just to keep up my strength for combat.

Got to the only picture of me I have on this computer. Well, I was about 5 years younger in that one but what the hell. I guess I need to look for something else to use as me. Okay, I have admitted to being old on here before. Well, I haven’t gotten any younger. I have tried to add my picture to my name so I don’t keep appearing here as that blank face. (I have that too much in my real life.) But, I am not succeeding. I have no problem appearing as myself. I feel that helps keep me honest in anything I say on here. So, my friends, how do I get my darn face on here? Please make it simple because I ain’t to bright on driving this thing.

Why the Congressman didn’t say something is the worst thing. Did he think it made him more popular with the crowd by laughing? He appeared as childish as the jerk asking him the question. Someone needed to be the grown up in that room and apparently he didn’t feel like rising to the position.

Well, I looked and I am not surprised. I am glad to see that those people in Wisconsin are standing up and shouting. My father was a Teamster/Farmer and my husband is a Teamster. I have worked in management for a trucking company that had Teamsters. When the company folded, the guy that owned it walked away with a 10 million tax deduction going forward. He did not lose the millions he had taken from the company in pay and charges to the company for personal expenses. He walked away still a very rich man. The union got the blame but it wasn’t them. When they walked away, they walked away with nothing. Their penisons were lost. Even money that had been taken from their checks for child support was lost and not paid to their children. I was in management and I know what really happened. They were easy to blame because they made good wages and they were public. No one saw the real reason the company didn’t make it. It was because of greed at the top, not from the bottom.

Wow, I guess I found all of you that I have been missing on that other site. I was just getting started over there and then all of a sudden my friends number started going down and I couldn’t find my new friends. Glad I have now. I don’t usually say much. I would think that there should be a link above on the dashboard that would let you add a video but I can’t find it.

I appreciate you trying. If you can’t, just let me know and I will add it after you post the Sunday Funnies as a comment from me. I can get it there, I think.

Okay, the funnies are posted and if you go down to the 32st cartoon it is screwed, along with 36 thur to 38. Then again with 40,41..43,44 47 clear to 51. 54, 56, 58 to 61. 64 then 66 and 67. 69 to 71. 72 to 77 81 to 88 79 then 92 clear to 104. 106 to 111. 114,115 117 to 122. 124 127 to 131 133,134 136 to 141 147 149 to 151(last cartoon in the post and not showing)

So half of the cartoons are not showing except for those blurs. It is 8:30am and I haven’t been to bed!!

Please see my earlier comments in HELP and you will see that I have been asking AdLib about this from the first moment WordPress was changed or updated or whatever was done. I am certain that it is in that change. Now that PocketWatch is seeing them screwy it has to be that change. Thank you for looking into it.

I am not posting anymore than I usually do, Kalima. This has just started happening after the WordPress was changed. In fact the last couple of weeks I have posted even less because of the holidays. It is something to do with the change in WordPress. If you go back and look at the posted cartoons before the change you will see that they are always there. But after the change they are not and started getting screwy. You can’t see them and you can’t see the captions.
