Time Out for O/T – Vol. 15

Cher, it is kinda like someone putting on their Facebook Page, “I called in sick to work and went to the Norstroms Sale.” Don’t be surprised when the gal in the office after your job shows it to the boss. The internet is an open book.
You can’t trust people not to use it and especially when there are assholes like Brietfart after your job.

Yah, and Paul Revere was a silversmith. Don’t tell me he didn’t know how to polish it!

Brietbart is an ass and I don’t mean donkey!

Funksands, Yes, life is a bumpy road and my shocks are shot!

» Posted By SallyT On June 8, 2011 @ 5:20 pm

Ahhhh, Funksands, I like you more everyday, too. On this bad day I am having, I needed that more than you know. Thanks!

jkkFL, wasn’t that one of those AynRand ideas? No special needs school for handicapped children. “Why should the government take from me for someone elses child with problems?” She was one strange lady with some terrible ideas.
It is very sad that none of the parents, teachers or students can have a say.
Thank you for your comment.

Audadvnc, if Bachmann gets elected President, the world is coming to an end.

AdLib, Well, lets hope that when climate change tweets that picture of its dick it will be when it is frozen/hard and not after it has melted its Arctic cap.
I don’t tweet because I don’t know how and I would probably “f” it up like Weiner and tweet the wrong thing to the wrong tweet receptive.

Hey, Bito, late night! Thought you might need a quote from me and FDR.
“The ablest man I ever met is the man you think you are.”
Franklin D. Roosevelt

And, I bet you got a lot from your time as a mentor. The teachers there today all had tears in their eyes and said something nice about each student and called them all family. They were proud and felt good that they had been there. AND, every student thanked those teachers and said they had got them interested and through school.

And, you know all the people on the right are not wealthy. They need public education. They can’t all afford private schools. They have their broken homes, parents stressed, depressed, and to busy or consumed with problems not to give their kids enough time. Their kids need those teachers dedicated to give their kids that extra time and patience they need. Yes, pay now or pay later is it, Killgore.

Please let me tell you about a real tragedy. I went to my grandson’s graduation from High School today. He was a difficult boy being raised by a single mother with no help from his father. He didn’t like school and gave the usual answer from kids like him, “It’s dumb and I know it all anyway.” His mother enrolled him in a section of the High School called Focus. This was for the kids that just weren’t making it in the mainstream. He excelled and today when accepting his diploma his teacher announced how impressed he was in his ability to get into a subject and give it his all. He said that my grandson was a wonderful mentor to other young kids in the summer camp for less fortunate that he had helped counsel. Anyway, I am grandma and I am proud as hell of him. But the tragedy is that this was the last graduating class for Focus. Focus has been part of the high school for 39 years but they lost their funding this year. That is the tragedy. My grandson was not the only one graduating. There were about 20 and they were all wonderful young people now on the right track. Several won scholarships. 2 young ladies were mothers raising their babies and going to school and working a job, too. These are not the last 20 kids that need an extra hand in getting through school. There are many others that deserve these wonderful teachers giving the extras that are needed to them. But, now there is no money. We cannot afford to have “throw away kids”. None! Education for all. This is the United States of America and there should be no such tragedy.

It is just amazing to me how the Republicans have this inside line to God, so they claim. Michelle Bachmann says that God has told her she should run for President. Huckabee says God told him not to run. Personally, I think He likes you best, Huck.

Khirad, I watched an American teacher looking for an apartment in Paris, she was hired to teach english there and she was given an allowance for the apartment. Anyway, in the bathroom she asked, “What’s that?” the realtor told her it was a bidet. Well, she wondered if it could be removed. The realtor said that she doubted it. When they showed the apartment after the teacher had moved in, she had put a plant in the bidet!

Once I saw an American couple looking for a vacation home in Turkey, I think, anyway there wasn’t room for a clothes dryer. The woman asked why and the realtor said that they hung their clothes outside on a line to save on power. She said that wouldn’t do. She was afraid the birds would do their duties on the clothes flying over. We sometimes sound so dumb on there.

Well, I am getting the feeling I ain’t partying hard enough with you.

» Posted By SallyT On June 7, 2011 @ 12:17 am

Laurel and Hardy?

» Posted By SallyT On June 7, 2011 @ 12:06 am

Well, do I look like someone that would argue with you on that????

» Posted By SallyT On June 6, 2011 @ 11:15 pm

OT for real. Okay, it use to be that when PBS was needing money and having their phone in campaign they would show and sell CD’s with the Big Bands of the 40’s. Then a few years ago they went to the 50’s. Well, now for the last couple of weeks it has been the singers and bands of the 60’s. Damn, I am now the group that PBS is courting for money! I am old now for sure. (Oh, and you just have to see the singers of the past that they have come on now to see the proof. They have gotten old, too. But, unlike me, they can still sing.)

Ok, Cher, call me Sarah Palin. I had to look Austan up because I didn’t know the name. But, I know Paul Revere.

» Posted By SallyT On June 6, 2011 @ 10:20 pm

Killgore, I am with you and I would say more but you say it better and I only get in the way. Just know I am there.

» Posted By SallyT On June 6, 2011 @ 10:17 pm

Squeak,SQUEAK,SQUEAK, I am trying to keep squeaky for you.

» Posted By SallyT On June 6, 2011 @ 9:39 pm

Killgore, you said it better than me but that isn’t a surprise.

» Posted By SallyT On June 6, 2011 @ 9:26 pm

Cher, thanks for that article. I heard that there wasn’t anyway they could make him and he doesn’t strike me as a guy who would. But, he could surprise me.

» Posted By SallyT On June 6, 2011 @ 9:23 pm

Cher, can she get that bar any lower? I think it is on the ground. Okay, maybe she can dig a hole.

» Posted By SallyT On June 6, 2011 @ 9:19 pm

Wow, I am certainly on the wrong side tonight. I didn’t say anything about acceptable behavior or not. Yes, there are terrible people out there and more should be questioned and charged. Yes, sex scandals get all the attention. Like I have said, I think that if you are in a public position you should think before you do something that might get you attention that you weren’t wanting. He certainly didn’t want this attention. He should have thought about that before he put it on the internet and with young ladies he didn’t know that well. I don’t care about his sex life. I care that he wasn’t thinking before he put it out there to be found. It isn’t like they haven’t found that stuff on the net before. It was like asking for trouble. I remember several of you making that comment on the other guy when he did it. I thought our guys were smarter. I am disappointed in Weiner for that fact. I thought he was smarter than that. I feel for his wife and the embarassment she didn’t ask for. Yes, sex is natural and wonderful when with the right person. Sometimes not with the wrong one, tho. I don’t care for fake people either and I have sometimes thought they are to good to be true and hiding something. I really liked this guy and he let me down because he wasn’t thinking. If he was thinking, he would have been more careful about any kinky things he likes to do and certainly wouldn’t have put it on the internet. That would have kept it out of other peoples business. And, most people don’t care to know. I guess I hope people that have achieved such high profiled positions are smarter. Not that I expect them to be perfect. No, but I do hope they can be smart.

» Posted By SallyT On June 6, 2011 @ 9:13 pm

Ah, I think Clarence has been accused of something like that before. Remember the hair and the coke can?

» Posted By SallyT On June 6, 2011 @ 7:54 pm

Oh, I am sure Sarah Palin will say something stupid and we can focus on that.
I am with you on Thomas’. I don’t think enough has been made of their issues. To me those are serious and should be investigated. All I have heard is that you can’t do anything to Clarence. Why?

» Posted By SallyT On June 6, 2011 @ 7:53 pm

I don’t expect elected people to be perfect and I don’t think I ever said that. I said that if you choose to be a public official you need to think about your actions before you do them. He wasn’t thinking about his actions or his wife. He was only thinking about himself and the actions he was getting. Not smart. I hope he can get pass this but he is certainly bruised. Does that make him a bad congressman? Have others done worst? Right now, I only see him as stupid and a dissapointment because he wasn’t thinking.

» Posted By SallyT On June 6, 2011 @ 7:43 pm

Whatever. I have no problem with you standing by what you wrote.

» Posted By SallyT On June 6, 2011 @ 6:37 pm

Brown was a student in college and not married at the time of those photos and they were out there. Weiner is older and married. Why was he sending these pictures out to young ladies? No other name for it but “stupid”. Sure we can bring up all kinds of behavior on the other side of the isle but it doesn’t make it any better. Anthony messed up and got caught. He will be the butt of jokes on late night TV and the news media will keep it alive for awhile until something else comes up.
