All The News That’s Fit to Pit

Cher, my friend, are you calling me a Koch brother with them cookies and my great dane? Them could be fighten’ words. No, I am a Union Boss and Mansion (gd) is a loyal union member that pays his dues with kisses. He votes with his local. The Scottie, was his own boss. (I miss him.)

Look, Cher, if all you had to report was that you washed your hair today, I would show up. And, I bet we could fill pages with news that we wanted to talk about, be concerned about, passionate about, feel good because something is being done about this or that, and find a few if not a lot to gives us a laugh. Because we know that tomorrow really does come and that is another day with something new. MSM thinks that everyday must have something to report on that is earth shattering but I think they are wrong. I don’t think I am the only one in the world that would be disappointed if one day they said, “Well, there is nothing to report but how about we just talk about out times and history?”

Cher, I don’t know about them dogs. I had a Scottie dog and he was all Democrat with progressive leanings. Now my great dane is just a hippie, kinda like Adonai and Khirad. But, offer a cookie and he will get out and vote anyway you say. (here I am not comparing him with Adonai and Khirad, tho)

Cher, I have always found that a little panic and a lot more in concern is not a bad thing. Going overboard though is a whole different animal. But, I do think when you feel that the government is making decisions that will impact your life now and in the future, you have every reason for concern. And, I see no problem in letting those making the decisions know you are concern. The wrong thing is to do nothing and give them the impression that no one cares that much. Yes, don’t panic until you know the details but give them a heads up on where your concerns are and you need the answers as quickly as possible. Panic can just be around the corner. Many are waiting to know.

How do you remember these old articles and where and when to use them? You just keep on surprising me and sometimes they are even good surprises.

The Daily Planet, Vol. 110

Cher, I am with you on Mika. I can’t watch MJ for many reason and she is one of them. Some of her facial expressions make me want to shout, “Stick your finger in a light socket. It will be an improvement.” That is a little harsh but she can’t hear me. And, why blow a fuse……..

Time Out for O/T – Vol. 16

Well, here is how we painted a 30 ft flag pole. Mr. T took a ball retriever for golf balls and extended it as far as it would go and duct taped a roller to the end. It was pretty flimsy and it was like a fishing pole with live bait but he got it done. That included a primer coat and again the finishing coat of paint. So, he painted it twice.

The house will be 100 in 2012. It stood as a barn for 30 years before it was made into a house. Believe it or not we are the second owners. When I get it done, if ever, I will be happy to share a picture with you Funksands. Thank you for the good thoughts.

Thought I would drop in to say “Hi” to you all from my painting and yard work. Someday I maybe done enough to join in with all of you again. Seems I have been missing lots. But, I also wanting to let you all know that my picket fence has been receiving comments everyday of how nice it looks. (It’s the pits (and joy) of having a house in the middle of a 3 street meeting point. We are like on an island but also the focal point of the neighborhood.) With my being ill the last five years and my husband’s devotion to me has left our poor house in dispare. Anyway, the fence and other work has given us get street appeal. And, when a Republican friend of mine dropped by to comment how great it looked, I answered: “Thank you! It is going to look even better with my “Vote Obama” sign in our next election.” His answer was: “Be careful of what you wish for.” I answered: “Oh, I know. That is why on the other end I am putting “Vote Democrat on everything.” He answered: “I enjoy our disagreements but it appears I can’t win with you.” Me: “That’s want I am wishing for, Bub. Now pardon me while I go put my American Flag up on our freshly painted flag pole.” He left laughing but still loving me. (I think….) Let me tell you that 30 ft flag pole was a bitch to paint. It is solid wood and was put up by the original owner in 1942 during WWII. See, he was of German ancestry and had the unfortunate fact of being named Adolph (middle name Edward which he preferred being called Eddie). He wanted everyone to know he was an American! So, at the point of that focale point stands today a freshly paint, bright high gloss white flag pole with a giant flag of our stars and stripes. We’re still letting them know, Eddie! Love all of you and miss playing but hope to again soon. Be good to each other and if you can’t have fun with the disagreements!

Well, for starters they don’t think or can’t think.

» Posted By SallyT On July 22, 2011 @ 8:10 pm

Mrs. Ford would be speaking out on it. She did not hold back. You are right jkkFL, she would not fit into the New Republican platform and no way the TParty.

Adonai, nothing wrong to me if you are sitting in your livingroom watching TV and say to yourself, “That chic is hot.” And, I wouldn’t have a problem if you were in the stand and whistle at one of them as long as it was after a good shot/play she made even if you were really thinking she was hot but waited so it could be applied to the game. I like it when a man finds me attractive (which doesn’t happen much anymore). But, if I was playing a sport with my teammates, I would hope you would admire my skills at the game……while being one hot looking chick!

I don’t think she is lying because she believes everything she is saying. So, she sounds powerful to those people that believe like her. You are right, don’t take them lightly. But, C’Lady and Kesmarn don’t forget that there are many nuts or stupid people out there that would vote for her just because they want to see how things would be. They would watch a fire and laugh because they like disasters.

» Posted By SallyT On July 8, 2011 @ 6:32 pm

Well, C’Lady, she was 93. That is a pretty good, long life. I liked her, too. She was a real dame! She wasn’t ashame to talk honestly even if other people thought it shocking.

» Posted By SallyT On July 8, 2011 @ 6:24 pm

You bet, KT! I’ll go there!

» Posted By SallyT On July 8, 2011 @ 5:53 pm

They want us white, blonde and blue-eyed, too, with a gun?

» Posted By SallyT On July 8, 2011 @ 5:51 pm

Exactly, KT. The Right would still be saying, “Long live the King!” or Queen now. Everytime I think about it, those freethinkers were some brave, guttsy, and many young guys to take on the world’s most powerful country. Now the Right thinks we are the all powerful but they could make us like England and power can be taken down.

» Posted By SallyT On July 8, 2011 @ 5:10 pm

Adonai, what would I do without you to make me laugh out loud!

» Posted By SallyT On July 8, 2011 @ 4:59 pm

KT, if she gets elected Prez, I’m going to South America. (I’d go to Canada but I can no longer handle the cold.)

» Posted By SallyT On July 8, 2011 @ 4:58 pm

Was that what it was, Adonai! I didn’t know that. I thought the Robes guy got pissed because the King & Queen wouldn’t get out of a carriage in the rain. I learned something new. Didn’t the Queen also get in trouble with her subjects because they thought she had bought some expensive necklace but she really hadn’t.
Besides, I thought you liked cookies????

» Posted By SallyT On July 8, 2011 @ 4:43 pm

Adonai, and you got to eat cake when there was no bread! (I don’t think she really said that but it sounded good here.)

» Posted By SallyT On July 8, 2011 @ 4:19 pm

OMG, this woman is a nut job along with whomever wrote that thing.

» Posted By SallyT On July 8, 2011 @ 2:03 pm

AdLib, I probably would have kissed your uncle anyway. My family history shows us to be a little dangerous. I have many stories but one that comes to mind right now is my great grandmother died of cancer and left 10 children. My great grandfather left them, sold the horse and buggy that was promised to my grandfather, went to town and bought silk underwear and played around. You know, now that I think about it, that might explain a few things…………like I usually wear silk with a cotton crotch???? To much info, SallyT, to much info. I’ll take a pill now.

» Posted By SallyT On July 8, 2011 @ 12:43 pm

Good night all. Hope we will have more answers to the world’s problems tomorrow. Tonight I am not having a good health night, so, will take one of those little pills and wake tomorrow fresh as a wilted daisy. Type you all later.

» Posted By SallyT On July 7, 2011 @ 11:45 pm

LOL, KT, that is funny. I watched that whole Kennedy mini on some channel that was On-Demand RealTV?? or something. No, the History Channel, HBO or Showtime would not air it. Really if you look up things you will see that they even have the time lines all wrong in that show. The one on HBO today wasn’t a show they did. It was something produced by a camera man that was always with them. You might find it on line. Really watch his news conferences because he does have a quick wit. And, so many things haven’t changed that the country is still dealing with.

» Posted By SallyT On July 7, 2011 @ 5:05 pm

Khirad, what Morrison could have done with a phone and texting!

» Posted By SallyT On July 7, 2011 @ 3:58 pm

KT, I did see that and I was like you and didn’t recognize her right off. Today, I watched the movie Ironweed and she is just amazing. Thank you for agreeing with me but I had a sneaky idea you might. 🙂

» Posted By SallyT On July 7, 2011 @ 3:50 pm

I don’t mean to sound like the TV Guide but right now on HBO2 is “A Presiden to Remember/JFK”. It is all old film clips. The news conferences are the best. The man had a quick sense of humor. Anyway, another time, another place. Looking back. (Gee, they were young, especially Jackie.)

Also, KO has BREAKING NEWS on his site that Sunday is News of the World last publication. Murdock is shutting it down. But, I read somewhere else that in June someone had found out that he was going to merge 3 of the papers together anyway and that was one of them. (So, may look like a big deal but I don’t think so.)

» Posted By SallyT On July 7, 2011 @ 3:09 pm

Bito and Cher, I see that Bernie Sanders is going to be on KO Countdown tonight. Bito, Bernie wouldn’t lie to us, right?
