I think we should have known when thousands of posts hanging permanently in pending became the new norm and moderation started leaning right that the place was being cleaned for new owners. 20/20 hindsight.

I think there are a lot of us not willing to be part of the big sellout. We should have known something was fishy when the big moderation crackdown started, and the obvious right leaning nature of that crackdown.

That’s been my impression too. Where DO they intend to get all those lovely revenue generating clicks from, if they alienate their long time Progressive base? Maybe they assume the increase in Teapublican Troll traffic will make up for it?

Well, I guess that explains the recent changes in moderation that had me posting much less frequently than formerly. Recent 20+ hour delays in posting comments, threads with 10k pending comments, and a definite right lean to recent moderation of comments left this poster scratching her virtual head, but all is clear now. They were cleaning up the place for their new masters.
