Mich. Ann Arbor) at: Informed Comment by Juan Cole. He’s currently blogging extensively about Lybia. » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 23, 2011 @ 2:02 am Good Morning Kalima & Friends, It’s a beautiful, sunny snow-melting day!! (I’m happily awaiting crocuses…I hope they’re not too long in coming.) All the best, » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 18, 2011 @ 7:29 am Good Mornin’ All, I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m waiting with bated breath to discover what happens next in Egypt. (Military rule is always worrisome. It, too, should go sooner rather than later.) On a less heavy note, I’m looking forward to a busy morning of French toast, reading “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” aloud to the little one (we’re half way through–thank goodness!!) and a general Sunday “work a little/play a lot” sort of day. I hope to pop in throughout the day as time permits. Until then and in between, » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 13, 2011 @ 6:11 am Sweet dreams, Kalima. » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 12, 2011 @ 5:02 am (Plain speaking: Yep, Arianna is lying through her $300 million dollar teeth. *smiles* ) I *love* your attitude, & am off to do the same, that is, making it a great day! » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 12, 2011 @ 4:37 am This is my second morning skimming through your morning blog links–they’re quite excellent! Looking forward to future skimmings, » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 12, 2011 @ 3:14 am Good Morning Wise One, I didn’t catch Maher, but what you’ve described is disappointing: It’s all about the benjamins, isn’t it? As for Huffington’s political perspective, it’s more or less conservative as evidenced by the political page of HuffPo, if nothing more. On the bright side, I didn’t realize how much time I’d spend on HuffPo writing as opposed to actually reading. I only deleted my HP profile yesterday, but I immediately went back to reading *full articles* written by *the original authors* at *respectable news sites* (sans soft porn “entertainment”). The upshot: I feel as though I’ve been liberated, which is a Very Good Thing. (May Arianna and AOL enjoy their bed–I’ve got other fish to fry. *a wink & a smile*) Warm hugs on a cold morning, » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 12, 2011 @ 3:08 am Mmmm…that looks absolutely yummy, Rasputin!! Have to admit, I’m with you regarding excitment over poo. Definitely overrated. It’s been awhile, however, since I’ve had to contend: my little guy’s a first grader. He’s into dinosaurs, atronomy, cars (he took first place for the Tiger den in this year’s Pinewood Derby), building with Legos and the silliest, corniest jokes you’ve ever heard. I spend hours chaufferuing him to art class and theatre class and science class and piano…and I love it!! (He’s terrific. 🙂 ) » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 11, 2011 @ 12:43 pm Good Morning, KB. Good to know–thanks, KB. (I hadn’t clicked on the word “Dashboard” until you suggested it…it’s useful in that you able to see the entire comments.) –Me *smiles* » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 11, 2011 @ 6:20 am Mornin’ Plato. Go to “Member Directory” and look up your user name (using page numbers at the bottom of the “A” list). All of your comments will be under your username. (I’m a newbie, too. *smiles*) –Redemption » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 11, 2011 @ 5:53 am It’s no good. I plan to delete my profile once I’ve copied some of my comments. The mainstream (i.e., conservatives) is moving fast in a la commentary. (…or at least they aren’t being censored. ) And so it goes. » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 11, 2011 @ 4:41 am I’m here for just a quick “Good Mornin’, Y’all”. I’m doing my usual morning rush, feeding the no-longer-so-wee boy and dropping him off at school before settling down to do a bit of work from home. Friday is our movie/pizza night, but if I’m able to stay awake, I’ll check out the Planet’s music blog. If not, I’ll see what’s up on Sunday, possibly Saturday. Until then, Power to the People of Egypt!! Peace & have a restorative weekend, » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 11, 2011 @ 4:40 am TA (…w/ me, always default to the squeaky-clean translation.) Cheers, dear. » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 10, 2011 @ 10:42 am …actually it was a pop song, but with a woman’s voice. Hmmm… » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 10, 2011 @ 10:39 am Ooooh. (Problably should have Googled it–I’m terrible at computer abbreviations.) Thanks. » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 10, 2011 @ 10:16 am Familiar …sounds like a Johnnie Mathis song (from one of my mom’s old albums *smiles* ) or perhaps a show tune? » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 10, 2011 @ 10:15 am Just curious: what’s the “pov” of “planetpov”? » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 10, 2011 @ 10:12 am The whole response was v. cool–alas, I had no comeback. (Might as well admit it. :0) » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 25, 2011 @ 1:35 am Aw…sorry about the missing friends phenomenon at HuffPo, but at least parting’s blow is soften with having a new home with old friends and new. I think, for me, the most liberating aspect of leaving HuffPo is being in a troll-free zone…it’s much more productive to skip being pelted by gratuitous ad hominens which, after all is said and done, are a form of spirit murder. (I couldn’t keep up with people easily…there were just too many with whom to form “close” friendships–or at least it took an investment of time that I never seemed to have. (Working single mom and all that! :0) » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 25, 2011 @ 1:29 am Oooo, la-la: actually we should sacrafice, say, five or so (just to be on the safe side!! ;0) » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 25, 2011 @ 1:02 am One hopes, but if they haven’t seen Republicans’ true colors by now… » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 25, 2011 @ 12:59 am 2nd Class, I’m sure she does too, as do we all. :0) (Good luck on your new gig, by the way.) » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 25, 2011 @ 12:57 am Thanks for posting this, Patsy. (I’m one of those people who sign in intermittenly and who would have missed it otherwise.) Peace, » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 25, 2011 @ 12:32 am (The dropped fans were probably not deleted, but rather people who closed their HuffPo accounts.) » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 25, 2011 @ 12:29 am Kalima, My understanding is that without the Democratic members of the senate, there can be no vote. (No quorum.) » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 25, 2011 @ 12:28 am Bloggingheads.tv’s home page is http://bloggingheads.tv — it’s a bit of a “hit or miss”. » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 23, 2011 @ 6:59 am This was excellent: thanks, Booms. (Maddow is most sublime when she gets down to the dirty details.) » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 23, 2011 @ 2:37 am I understand how you feel. » Posted By Redemption Song II On February 23, 2011 @ 2:33 amComments Posted By Redemption Song II
