Now after this ruling, small towns in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are fighting back. A total of 8 towns have adopted resolutions calling for a Constitutional amendment to negate this heinous ruling. A town on Cape Cod, near the late Senator Edward Kennedy’s home, Provincetown led the charge on April 4th, 2011 to take our elections back. This action was followed by Truro and Wellfleet on April 26th, 2011. All three towns called for the same thing, “A constitutional amendment to restore the First Amendment and fair elections to the people.” Copies of these resolutions will be heading to the State Capitol in Boston for Governor Deval Patrick, state representatives, and state senators representing these towns as well as U.S. Representatives, and Senators John Kerry and Scott Brown. A copy of the resolutions will also be sent to President Barack Obama. Other towns that voted and passed similar resolutions were Great Barrington (May 2), Brewster and Dennis (May 3), Chatham and Orleans (May 9), and Williamstown will vote on May 17th. Free Speech For People has helped to spur these town meeting resolutions. Free Speech For People is a national non-partisan campaign, launched on the day of the Citizens United ruling, which is pressing for a 28th Amendment to the Constitution to restore democracy to the people and to ensure that people, not corporations, govern in America. http://www.politicususa.com/en/massachusetts-citizens-united » Posted By PatsyT On May 16, 2011 @ 4:57 pm Thats funny 🙂 » Posted By PatsyT On May 16, 2011 @ 1:40 pm I am saving that page for when I need a laugh. » Posted By PatsyT On May 16, 2011 @ 1:19 pm I kinda like the little girl that wants her tea party back. » Posted By PatsyT On May 16, 2011 @ 1:18 pm Haruko, I don’t know for sure but I think he was in some hot water back then, so it could be from the same rally. » Posted By PatsyT On May 16, 2011 @ 1:16 pm Oh Yes! http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/doc-collections/fact-sheets/funds-fs.html » Posted By PatsyT On May 15, 2011 @ 9:35 pm 🙂 » Posted By PatsyT On May 15, 2011 @ 9:15 pm 🙂 Thanks so much! » Posted By PatsyT On May 15, 2011 @ 9:14 pm I don’t know which one I like best » Posted By PatsyT On May 15, 2011 @ 9:13 pm Let’s all laugh!! » Posted By PatsyT On May 15, 2011 @ 6:40 pmComments Posted By PatsyT

I may be more depressed because that ASS should have never been the Gov.
She MADE him come off as legit and he did this to her?
What a dick!
Can we take back his “veto’s”?
There are reasons that I have never and will never vote repub.
This news actually did matter but 10 years too late.

I would love to see the reactions from bagggers looking at that.
Very smart and well spoken!
She put together such a strong presentation at last week’s
South Orange County Dem meeting.
Of course we had a pro nuke nut guy trying to eat up question time at the end,
the room had no patience for him. Ha!
She liked my question about home values.
If we even have a small incident,
that will adversely affect everyones home values
and that message resonates with all residents down here.
So really, even if you put safety aside,
the financial side of this wins big time.
No private company will insure the nuke plants
And the Price Anderson Act
only gives homeowners
$12,000 for their homes.
You can’t hardly buy a car for that money!
But at least you can drive away if things get hot.
Thanks Cher!
It’s great to see that people get it!
