BDM,
Why those are just hearty protesters
in those short sleeved shirts. 😉
They probably go ice fishing in short sleeved shirts too.

Fox doesn’t just lie a little, they lie a lot!
The link below has video.
The protesters have been very peaceful!
I saw it here in L.A. ~ Passionate but Peaceful!
In all 50 states over the weekend at the capitals, even Anchorage Alaska,
peaceful protest!
Cher posted a link below to the Moveon site with pics from all 50 States!

I think they (RW) are trying to bait the people in Wisconsin with this trash!
They just would love for some serious scuffle to break out so they can push the
Union Thugs meme.

Fox News has been making a lot of hay about one of their reporters allegedly being “punched” by a protester in Madison, Wisconsin.

Turns out, that didn’t happen.

Mike Tobin, reporting from amid the massive demonstration on Friday, claimed that one of the protesters “punched” him in the arm. In another broadcast, he claimed a man threatened to break his neck.

In both cases, supporting evidence for these claims was not broadcast — yet still, Tobin’s reports have been widely cited across conservative blogs that seem eager to depict union workers as hateful and violent.

What’s worse, Tobin’s allegation that he was assaulted might have slipped past without rebuttal were it not for a camera-equipped bystander, who captured the scene.

Turns out, someone merely touched his shoulder, as evidenced in the video below. The incident he claimed was a “punch” could instead be described as a pat, at most.

I am on it Truth but to be real, this is all over FB pages and as they say, it is viral.
Please share and often!
This along with Mike Huckabee saying that President Obama grew up in Kenya not once but twice is just another example of the desperate need the RW has for disinformation to sell their message!

HA, PW, Another good point!
Where do you think they filmed those clips and when?

» Posted By PatsyT On March 2, 2011 @ 8:42 am

Yes jkkFL,
Unless you are indoors and they are in a pot
there are NO Palm trees in Wisconsin!
Oh and by the way… where is the snow?

» Posted By PatsyT On March 2, 2011 @ 8:40 am

There are NO Palm Trees in Wisconsin!
I grew up in Ohio, spent many years in Chicago
and visited Wisconsin many times, so I know.
There are NO Palm Trees in Wisconsin!
There are no Violent Protesters in Wisconsin
or any other of the rallies that took place last Saturday!
Fox Lies! Again!

More in the “media” on the L.A. Rally
This ireport is not bad but the music maybe a bit hokey
Notice how CNN states – This is not vetted –
What? Was the camera imagining the people in the lens?

Cher, check out the photos in this article

Not only were the protests barely covered, but the two-year anniversary of the Tea Party was covered at length by CNN. Of course, the Wisconsin protests were allotted a few subdued minutes of reportage here and there, wherein the so-called “liberal media” made sure to provide both sides of the argument, tilted favorably toward the anti-union message.

Cher, as the sign says
“Fight Like an Egyptian”

Inquiring minds will want to know.

Hey Jack,
Keith did a great job with this post.
That is the Keith I remember!
I hope he keeps this kind of work going, oh, and I loved that pic of him. 🙂

» Posted By PatsyT On February 28, 2011 @ 5:21 pm

Hey Jack,
That is very cool that you had Jim Hightower, thanks for that link.
We didn’t see any of those “Leathered Constitution lovers”
but we did have a few of the LaRouche people.

Our Crowd went WILD when they announced that there were
100,000 in Wisconsin Marching in the Freezing Snowing Cold!
But funny thing, hmmm… I heard Cenk on MSNBC say today
that there were “over 70,000” in Wisconsin on Saturday.
What happened to the 100,000?

» Posted By PatsyT On February 28, 2011 @ 5:13 pm

Cher,
We are not alone in wondering why so little coverage, it’s being talked about on the FB groups, very little media presence at the events all over the country.
I have left comments like….

“Why doesn’t the corporate MSM want you to know about these rallies?”

“If it was a few teabaggers at a town hall, all the channels would have full film crews and reporters but thousands at a public out door rally? Oh we are too busy covering Charlie Sheen.”

I am thinking that getting people curious is on of the first steps and then helping them understand how these things effect their lives.

So many of the people that I spoke with on Saturday
were furious about the Koch Bros. and hey,
who even knew their names 3 months ago?
So the word is getting out and I think more people are getting very curious
because they are thinking this info is taboo.

ChoiceLady,
Yes, it would have been great to see you but
it sounds like your day was very productive.
These events are very inspiring.
One speaker had an interpreter but she really got the crowd going.
She started to cry when she mentioned Wisconsin
and everyone understood exactly what she was saying.
There were tears in my eyes!

Ecat I loved that one too, homemade and proper spelling!
That could become a rallying cry
Fight Like an Egyptian.
The energy there was amazing!
