Thanks Kalima. Those are great examples of how weird English is.

The GOP Wave Pool: Money, Lies, Ignorance and Democratic Apathy

Monica, that lottery is a tax on those who play it. I call it a voluntary tax I choose not to pay. The odds are against you for sure.

Murph, if the Dems had touted all of those accomplishments there might have been a much better outcome.

» Posted By Nirek On November 7, 2014 @ 4:38 am

Sabreen, I agree! They should have embraced the President and touted all the accomplishments.

2010 and 2014: The Election Sequel of Dumb and Dumber

naxos, I worked for a living. 12 hours were normal some 18 hour days and sometimes in blizzards or rain storms. Climbing poles and repairing the telephone lines in all kinds of weather. The kind of “work” you are talking about is kinda like the sort of “news” that Fox and other MSM are producing. Fake work! Sitting in a comfortable room and talking on the phone (that you take for granted) is NOT the kind of “work” that normal people do.
Suffice to say that we disagree about the definition of the word WORK.
1. exertion or effort directed to produce or accomplish something; labor; toil.
2.
something on which exertion or labor is expended; a task or undertaking:

Har,the entertainment value is there. However their not going to do the legislating they should be.

Ad, excellent article! I agree 1000000%
This may be the wake up call the voters need. After the GOP takes over in January they will have to produce some legislation or the people may remember in 2016.

Why The GOP Will Have A “Good” Night Tomorrow

Kes, you nailed it. Short memories about the party of no and all the bad things we have endured like the War in Iraq and the other things you mentioned. We Americans never seem to learn from history. Look at Vietnam. We sure never learned from the 50000+ lives lost there.

Don’t get me started though. I could ramble on about all the mistakes America has made a second time or even more.

American Democracy and Learning Lessons the Hard Way

Back when the GOP was made up of decent people. Ike was the last of those.

» Posted By Nirek On November 4, 2014 @ 3:33 am

Hey Ghost, I can tell you that one old man is defiantly against the GOP. Me!
I like your post. It has lots of sense to it. People are not as stupid as the republicans want us to think they are. At least not most of them. We just have to get people to vote!

» Posted By Nirek On November 3, 2014 @ 3:49 pm

Ad, the lemmings never seem to learn. Memories seem to be short. The people who have benefited from President Obama being our President have piss poor memories if they vote for any republican! That is my opinion!

I confess to not knowing the difference between Motown, Soul, and other types of music that I enjoy. I always liked the black groups from my early years. But are they Soul? Do Wop is wonderful music in my opinion, but does it qualify as Soul? Diana Ross is one of my favorite singers, but is she a soul singer or just Motown? I like all of them but am confused. I don’t want to post the wrong songs, I took a chance on Lou Rawls being Soul because I love his voice and the song.

Republicans Campaign in Their Halloween Costumes

Ad, so funny I had to chuckle! Two best were the coward and psycho McCain! They all were excellent and that is the only time I ever said these creeps were excellent for any reason.

A GOP Majority in the Senate: A GOP Nightmare In the Making

Murph, the “news” perpetuates the idea that the GOP will take over the Senate, constantly. I look at it differently. There are many close races and the Democrats are likely to win some. I even believe that McConnell is going to be retired !

I’m Throwing Away My Vote Next Tuesday

Spot on Funk!

» Posted By Nirek On October 30, 2014 @ 10:36 am

SLM, even though I think you are wrong in voting against a Dem. , I understand how you feel and support you for voting your conscience. Please don’t think I think badly of you. Quite the contrary, I like that you are voting! Wish that people would vote because apathy is the worst enemy of democracy.

Excellent post, my friend. You are getting good at this analogy stuff, Ghost.

» Posted By Nirek On October 29, 2014 @ 7:37 am

SLM, remember Mitt? Mass gave him the Govenorship. Also he made it to the big election against Obama.

Empi, I agree with you. We have to hold on to as many seat in State and Federal government as possible.
My Senator is an independent but he has won every election for the House or Senate. He is loved here in Vermont and many out of staters love him too. Bernie stands tall for the middle class and poor.
