Morning Blog — 11-20-2014

Kalima, I hope all is well with you. We have rain now and leaves are out and grass is growing (I mowed last Sat).

Scott Walker is going to get his when the voters in his state wake up.

The poor folks of Nepal have suffered too much. They can’t seem to get a break. I pray for them. I pray for peace, too. There is too much violence in this world.

Will return later with more comments.
Peace to you and caring thoughts also.

Kalima, it is heart breaking. From what I know they are peaceful folks.
Very sad.

Kalima, it is sad that the conservatives won in England. What is the matter with me? Am I thinking wrong? Or are the voters wrong? Even in America, voters either vote the wrong people into office or they stay away from the polls. How else would we have nutjobs in the House and Senate?

It doesn’t seem to be just the USA that votes against the peoples best interests.

Good day Kalima, so much going on in the world.
We have had sunny days lately, I have been gathering downed branches and chipping them for mulch.

The story about fraking chemicals found in drinking water does not surprise me, but it sure does bother me. To me it is common sense that forcing chemicals and water into the ground will polute the water from wells. Very disturbing.

Reading MB makes me realize that for all its faults America is not the worst place to be. So many other countries have the same kind of problems. Money and corruption are problems everywhere.

Thanks for all the reading material. You are a jewel of the highest quality.
Peace, my friend.

Kalima, I believe that he can win. There are many republicans I know who like Bernie over the current crop of GOP candidates. They are the moderate republicans. Bernie speaks the truth and a lot of American voters are aching for the truth teller to run, Democrat, republican , and independent.

If he should lose he will still have an influence. Hillary has already said that she is against the TPP which means Bernie has already pulled her to the left.

Kalima, every issue we care about, Bernie Sanders is speaking on our side. He cares about every citizen, not just the wealthy! He has the integrety to speak the truth. I for one will be working to get his message out to everyone I can reach. Starting here at Planet POV!

I am going to be a one trick pony to get his message out!
Peace, that is one part of his message!

As you said before the Earth is angry. Too bad the people of Nepal have to suffer for the actions of others. We human beings are destroying the Earth and our own environment.

Kalima, I pray that the suffering of those folks in Nepal ends and that help gets to them in time.

Good day Kalima, we have a long week of rainy days ahead of us here in Vermont. Spring is upon us.
3 stories caught my interest this morning. Walker and Rubio will count as one story for my purpose. It seems to me that they and the other GOP candidates are clones of each other. Walker is probably the most dangerous because the Koch brothers are willing to back him (because he is paid for by them). This is just wrong. Money has too much influence in American politics.

The drone that carried cesium to the rooftop may be a way for someone who is angry about the nuclear problem, to make a point. Not enough being done to contain it.

I remember the Vietnam. The people were poor then. Now there are the rich and the poor. Not much different than the US. I’m not sure America is always right in the invasions we make. We seem to make things worse than they were. I would prefer that we stayed home and took care of Americans. This would set an example as to how good democracy is, and other countries would want to do as well.

Stay warm and dry and safe and well.
Peace.

Hi again Kalima, I just read the article about “Republicans push for a permanent aristocracy”. Bernie Sanders has been shining the spotlight on this issue forever! Now he is thinking of running for President. I hope he does and gets in the debates! He has facts about the richest people, families, and corporations that regular people need to hear and understand. The top .02 % are already holding more money than they could ever spend, so why do they need a tax break?

Where do I start, Kalima? TEPCO seems like Entergy in the US. Untrithful at best. Entergy is now suing the federal government over the decommissioning of Vermont Yankee. They underfunded the decommissioning trust fund and now blame the government.

Indinana has to be watched. Sneeky underhanded politicians seem to rule there.

Those elephants are majestic! They have a bond no different than human mother and child. I also love elephants. And other animals.

I hope you have a wonderful week, Kalima.

I’ll be back later to read more and comment, thanks for the info you provide. It lasts me for a while as I don’t read fast.
Peace

Thanks Kalima, my diabetes has gotten to the insolin point. Many thanks to Agent Orange for the gift of diabetes.
The winter has dragged on.

Peace.

Kalima, I woke up at 5;30 AM and saw 4 inches of snow. I just finished shoveling and showering. Have a Dr. apt. at 8;15, so must return to comment on these stories you produced.
Thanks
Peace.

Back reading more stories, Kalima.
After reading about the bigotry of politicians and mass murderer and and “conservatives in the UK, I took the time to look at the photos of animals. What a spectacular cat whit those markings! All the animals are wonderful and viewing the pictures renews my faith that God will not let us ruin his creations, I hope.

Good morning/ evening Kalima.
The story about Sharia law in IN had me laughing, too.
Happy Easter. I woke early to a snow storm. We had 1 inch and it was snowing hard. I had a coffee and oatmeal and before I finished we had 4 inches.

Have to go clear the driveway , but will return.

Kalima, spring is not really here yet. We expect it to arrive in the next couple weeks.
When I was i Tokyo in 1969 on R&R I thought the Japanese were cleaver with their terraces and gardens on side hills. It seemed to me that they didn’t waste any space.

I am glad that the WWII soldiers were found.

More later.

Kalima, I had tears in my eyes when I watched the video of Raju the elephant. No creature on this earth should be treated like that. Just heart breaking.

» Posted By Nirek On April 1, 2015 @ 4:47 am

Kalima, I am sorry for your loss. Elderly folks seem to pass away when we least expect them to. You can never visit too often to care for friends.

It pleases me that Japan is willing to share what they learned from the nuclear meltdowns.

I will be back to read more of the stories. So much to read.

Be well and safe.
Peace.

Kes, I agree we need to work on treatment of those who have mental issues. People who have issues should not be in jobs that have so many lives in their hands.

I feel that some, like Bowe Bergdahl need to be identified and treated. Same for this pilot, he never should have been in the cockpit.

Kalima, the “news” is still saying it is not terrorism. How can it not be terrorism? This may well be a “lone wolf” terrorist. IMO.

» Posted By Nirek On March 26, 2015 @ 6:05 am

Kalima and PPO, these things break my heart also. I feel for the families and friends of the victims of crashes.

Kalima, be well.

Good day Kalima, once again there is so much to read it may take many visits to MB for me to finish reading all. I’m glad that the railroads are back up in Japan.

No deal is better than a bad deal with Iran as the President has said on many ocasions. But it looks like diplomacy is working. I believe that B&B (Boehner and Bibi) have done much harm to the peace talks. Wouldn’t it have been nice if they had remained quiet until the talks were done.

Ted Cruz, enough said. What an idiot. Nothing he says is true.

Thanks again for all the reading material.
Peace.

Oh, on a personal note, my Grandson won first place in a wrestleing tournament. 5 wins 0 losses. Not bad for 11 year old smart kid.

» Posted By Nirek On March 22, 2015 @ 4:39 am

Kalima, I had forgotten that attack. Was that one of the first of the terror attacks?

» Posted By Nirek On March 20, 2015 @ 5:33 pm

Kalima, it does my heart good to see that lion hug her human friend. I love things like that story.
I also have a relationship with deer here, they walk away when I put out corn and start to return as I am leaving.

Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone could get along like those two?

» Posted By Nirek On March 19, 2015 @ 6:31 am

Good day Kalima, the picture of Mrs. Obama with the First Lady of Japan is beautiful. She is a good looking woman.

The story about the threat to Ambassidor Kennedy is sad.

I refuse to listen to or read anything about cheney unless it is his obit.

I seriously think that America should end the practice of giving billions to Isreal until they work toward peace instead of war.

Thank you for all the stories. The one about the wounded girl in Syria, I looked at but did not read to the end. I skipped through but got the gist of the story. There is so much strife in the Middle East. Will they ever have peace in that part of the world?

I wish you peace my friend.

» Posted By Nirek On March 19, 2015 @ 4:54 am

Kalima, there is no accounting for people voting against their own best interests. America is not the only country with people doing that.

Knowledge is not the thing some people vote on, fear seems to be what makes some vote for the worst choice.

» Posted By Nirek On March 18, 2015 @ 5:21 am

So Kalima, if there is no clear winner, it goes to the President to decide who can get a coallition?

» Posted By Nirek On March 17, 2015 @ 1:57 pm

Kalima, one of my greatest fears is that Netanyahu will start a nuclear war. We have history to tell us that nuclear weapons have devastating results.

We never seem to heed the lessons of history.

» Posted By Nirek On March 17, 2015 @ 4:35 am

It works.

» Posted By Nirek On March 11, 2015 @ 4:25 am

Kalima, I am so glad that today is International Women’s Day because I believe women are equal or better than men. I have known many strong women in my life. They have had and still do have all my respect! Women have more than physical strength, they have internal strength they can summon when needed.

Back latter. Get rest and be safe. Peace.

» Posted By Nirek On March 8, 2015 @ 5:00 am

Thanks Kalima. I did get down from the roof safely. Have taken a break from the taxes but am going back now.
Never did like ‘hawks” who just want to fight instead of using diplomacy.
Peace.
