After all he never served in the military. While he (Mitt) was vacationing in France recruiting for his cult I was serving in Vietnam against my will. (drafted 67 spent 69 in Nam) I didn’t want to join but when drafted I could NOT refuse to serve because my Dad was a career soldier WWII and Korean war vet. » Posted By Nirek On October 11, 2012 @ 12:57 pm KQ, while I agree that Romney is a lowlife he can’t be any worse than “w” was! Nixon was a creep “w” even creepier but Romney is right there with them. » Posted By Nirek On October 11, 2012 @ 12:50 pm Friends, if you hear someone complaining about the high taxes, high prices, or anything else. Tell them to stop complaining and to go VOTE! We got into this economic mess by too many people either voting R or too many people not voting at all. We need to get everyone to go out and vote instead of complaining. Vote for Obama. » Posted By Nirek On October 11, 2012 @ 12:46 pm Three stories recently about GOP politicians that prove we are correct not to vote for the GOP candidate whoever they may be. These are all GOP reps. how can America survive when we have morons in places where they can make laws? This is unacceptable in my opinion. » Posted By Nirek On October 7, 2012 @ 3:44 am Kalima, Mitt and his ilk will say anything they “think will help themselves” to get what they want. In Mitts case POTUS. » Posted By Nirek On October 6, 2012 @ 8:50 am Kalima, I too despise liars and cheats. Please excuse my humor with the hands comment. » Posted By Nirek On October 6, 2012 @ 4:29 am KQ , that is my biggest fear. Starting another WAR! Romney is another in the long line of GOP “chickenhawks”. » Posted By Nirek On October 6, 2012 @ 4:21 am Bito, Mitt makes his own “facts” at the same time that he accuses the POTUS of having his facts. I guess it is a preemptive strike. » Posted By Nirek On October 5, 2012 @ 3:15 pm Kalima, lets give Mitt credit for NOT writing notes on his hand. » Posted By Nirek On October 5, 2012 @ 3:13 pm KQ, Mitt was hoping for worse numbers to benefit himself. He cares nothing about the American people. He wants the USA to fail so he can get elected. I want America to succeed and we need to continue with good leadership. President Obama is on the correct track. (note I can’t use the word right) » Posted By Nirek On October 5, 2012 @ 12:22 pm I kind of like the nickname “Eggo” for Romney. After all he does waffle a lot. » Posted By Nirek On October 5, 2012 @ 10:55 am Unemployed number down to 7.8! Still not good but improving under the Obama lead recovery. President Obama was handed the worst possible economy and foreign relations from “w” and has gone a long way to recovering the economy and repairing the foreign relations. There is more work to be done , but this is NOT the time to change leadership! Especially not the time to have Mitt take us into another useless WAR! I fear he would invade Iran. » Posted By Nirek On October 5, 2012 @ 10:51 am I listened on the radio and picked up on the “by the way I like coal”. He also wants to start drilling everywhere for oil, and he wants to take peoples land for the pipeline from Canada. Why not build a refinery near the border of Canada? » Posted By Nirek On October 5, 2012 @ 3:53 am My friends, please click on the link below. You will see Mitt in a skit from “Best little whorehouse in Texas”. It fits so well I had to post it so you could enjoy it . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJG75FJkjr8 I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. » Posted By Nirek On October 4, 2012 @ 3:04 pm I was disappointed by the lack of fight in Obama. He didn’t call Mitt on his false statements (lies)! » Posted By Nirek On October 4, 2012 @ 9:31 am Funk, there may be a way to make coal cleaner but there is no good way to mine the stuff without ruining the land. » Posted By Nirek On October 3, 2012 @ 8:00 am As much as I like President Obama and most of his ideas, I dislike his use of the term “clean coal” in an ad I have seen lately. Just 5 miles from my home is a new solar array of 9000 panels which make 2.1 mwh and enough electricity for 500 homes. My array has 24 panels and makes more power than I use. Through net metering the extra goes into the grid. President Obama does say we should go in this direction, but he mentions “clean coal” which is an oxymoronic term. » Posted By Nirek On October 2, 2012 @ 4:13 am Yesterday will not be soon enough. It’s too bad we didn’t learn the lesson of Vietnam. » Posted By Nirek On October 1, 2012 @ 4:11 pm Along with the death of the 2000th American in Afghanistan goes the waste of trillions of US dollars. We have wasted so much life on both sides. Wasted too much treasure. We did this under the “leadership of two of the worst people in our history. “w” and cheney gave no thought to anything but profit for themselves and their friends at the cost of all the rest of us. » Posted By Nirek On October 1, 2012 @ 3:44 am KT, you make a good point. With the internet and 24/7 TV news Mitt has trouble with his lies being found out as quickly as he say ts them. » Posted By Nirek On September 26, 2012 @ 5:23 pm Adlib, Bernie has always been like that. He has also always been independent. He caucuses with the Dems. but if there is a better way he goes with it. However this story was a made up story and much to do about nothing. Bottom line , we can count on Bernie! » Posted By Nirek On September 26, 2012 @ 9:49 am So now it seems that Mitt is getting advise from Newt (where do they come up with these names). Which one is dumb and which one is dumber? » Posted By Nirek On September 26, 2012 @ 9:43 am While I agree with almost all you said I must disagree about my Senator, Bernie Sanders is always on our side. And while I’m at it you are welcome. I have voted for Bernie every time he is up for election. Bernie is America’s best and most honest politician! » Posted By Nirek On September 25, 2012 @ 3:43 am People will believe what they want to. I believe in facts. If the translation of that scrap of parchment is correct and Jesus did have a wife. That does nothing to take away my faith. It may even enhance it. I am married for over 39 years to my only wife. I took the vow seriously and there have been some rough times but the good times overshadow those. I personally don’t believe in divorce unless there is some abuse involved in the marriage. There are times when a marriage should end. Not mine thank god. As to the parchment. Who wrote it? Was the information accurate? Is the translation accurate? There are lots of questions and they are reasonable. Those of us who believe , take it on faith. Those who don’t believe need to see facts. Then there is me. My faith can be shaped but not broken. I do have a problem with “cults” . I think Mormonism is more cult than religion. It has only been around a short time as faiths go. I refer you to my link; Mormons think man can attain godhood. I disagree and strongly. » Posted By Nirek On September 23, 2012 @ 8:30 am Science vs Faith The same is true with science. Keeping an open mind and taking new facts into consideration is a scientific method. I use the same method for politics. It’s okay to change your opinion if facts change. But Mitt changes his “facts” to fit whatever he is saying at the time. I just don’t believe anything Mitt Romney says. » Posted By Nirek On September 23, 2012 @ 7:14 am I would like to see Romney quizzed on foreign leaders and show us where on a map some obscure country is. My bet is he would not do any better than sister Sarah did. » Posted By Nirek On September 20, 2012 @ 8:43 am Why would anyone who is not rich vote for Romney? After all he admits he doesn’t care about regular American workers. » Posted By Nirek On September 17, 2012 @ 4:59 pm He will be remembered in the history books as the worst ever for sure. » Posted By Nirek On September 5, 2012 @ 3:33 pm Glad you liked it Kesmam. » Posted By Nirek On September 5, 2012 @ 2:42 pm “w” is the closest thing to the devil I know of. He is responsible for thousands of lives lost and trillions of our tax $$$$$$ wasted on WARS that never should have happened! 911 was done by Saudi Arabians so WHY did we invade Afghanistan and Iraq? AQ is NOT a country and we never should have invaded sovereign country. » Posted By Nirek On September 5, 2012 @ 1:13 pmComments Posted By Nirek
Todd Aiken and his ignorance about rape and women!
Paul Broun , an MD who says because the bible says so the earth is only 9000 years old and these two guys are on the House science committee !
Last but not least is Jon Hubbard who claims that slavery was a blessing!
Mitt has used every tactic in the book to cheat on anything to benefit himself. On taxes, or in business, Now in politics he has no problem lying about anything or everything. When caught lying he walks it back.
I don’t respect liars or cheats.
The republicans are crying foul. Claiming the books are cooked!
There is nothing clean about coal.
I live in Vermont and have had my array over 4 years! Vermont gets more sunlight hours than Germany does. Germany makes more solar power than any other country. When the sun is out we could make all our electricity for the hours of daylight and cut out the need for so much coal, oil, and nuclear power!
I was there in 1969 and 28 fellow soldiers I knew died while I was there.
We had no business there or Iraq or Afghanistan.
Waste of lives or dollars is WRONG!
America needs to come home and rebuild our own nation. We need to deploy our military on our leaky southern border and keep the drug cartels and foreigners from entering illegally.
I think it is a toss up.

I believe in science and I also believe in Jesus. My faith is like science if there is some proof that my beliefs are wrong i’ll change them to fit the proof.
When man writes something a couple thousand years ago in a different language and someone else comes and translates it to another language, who knows if the translation was correct? Who knows the original was correct? According to everything I have read “man” is imperfect or fallible. With so much of the bible being rewritten and translated several times I can’t take as totally correct. I use it as a guideline.
He can’t back up his claims with real facts.
At least President Obama cares about us and wants us to have a chance to better our lot in life.
You are correct that his economic policies are to blame for our deficit and and our loss of lives for the oil corporations benefit.
I thought it was revealing.
