Half (about) of the sequester cuts will come from the bloated defense budget. They plan to furlough people one day a week instead of cutting another unnecessary ship or plane.
McCain makes me sick. Wish he would just fade away like the old saying goes.
Ike was correct to warn us about the military industrial complex.
Back when Ike was President the GOP was indeed a Grand Old Party. Today it is a mere shadow of its former self. Many republicans of that time are now proud Democrats. The GOP used to be equally as good as the Democratic party. It no longer is even a fraction as good. It is almost un-American.
He is wrong to dis Chuck Hagel. Chuck is an ex republican Senator. He served in Vietnam as an infantryman after being drafted the same as I did. Chuck and I have different political ideals but we both learned first hand that WAR needs to be the last possible option.
McCain is a bitter old man and should retire.
The GOP doesn’t want cuts in the defense budget and the Democrats don’t want too many cuts in domestic programs.
America can’t wait for the Senate or House to come back from yet another vacation!
I could not agree more. McCain is becoming unpatriotic more and more each day and Graham is just as bad.
