Article. I. Section. 1. All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives. Section. 2. The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States, and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature. No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen. Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons. The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct. The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one Representative; and until such enumeration shall be made, the State of New Hampshire shall be entitled to chuse three, Massachusetts eight, Rhode-Island and Providence Plantations one, Connecticut five, New-York six, New Jersey four, Pennsylvania eight, Delaware one, Maryland six, Virginia ten, North Carolina five, South Carolina five, and Georgia three. When vacancies happen in the Representation from any State, the Executive Authority thereof shall issue Writs of Election to fill such Vacancies. The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote. The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided. The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators. The Congress shall assemble at least once in every Year, and such Meeting shall be on the first Monday in December, unless they shall by Law appoint a different Day. Section. 5. Things could be far better for them if they were given a decent chance of getting a decent job and some therapy. My Dad, a WWII and Korean War veteran had the wisdom that is lacking in the VA. He made me talk about my experience in Vietnam and shared his experience in his wars. He retired as a First Sargent with a GED and 24 years in the Army. We all did what was asked of us and did our best. Some did above and beyond. Some of them were rewarded with medals. Some did not get medals for their above and beyond efforts. Beyond that the Army (that is what I know from experience) is loath to give out the higher medals, so they have someone who will decide whether the medal will be one or the other. It is an arbitrary decision made by some officer who has no idea what really happened. I was lucky , my CO wrote a nice story and recommended me for the Silver Star. That some officer in the rear didn’t like the story so he changed it to a bronze Star, then another “someone” changed it to the Army Commendation Medal with a “V” for valor. That is what I got. I lost count of the wounded. But they all are in my thoughts. When I am out in my woods is when I feel closest to them. When I see a Veteran I make a point to speak to him/her. They are my brothers and sisters. My wish every day is for PEACE everywhere. For no more WARS. For no more reasons for military actions. My heart goes out to todays newest Veterans because they are all volunteers ! Many in Vietnam with me were draftees like me. I’m thankful for my wife, daughter, son, granddaughters (3), and grandson. I am also thankful for other family members and friends. Also , I am especially thankful for this web site. Planet POV has become my favorite place to go for information, conversation,”points of view”, and entertainment (think Saturday music, Sunday funnies, and my favorite part “off topic” . I have random thoughts at random times and go to OT and let it all out.

See the way they always say the ACA (Obamacare) is a mess. They never say that Obama is making life better for the poor and working poor.
Some people may wonder how medals are awarded?
I can shed some light on that question. When there is a battle if the CO (commanding officer) is a talented writer and likes the soldier, he will write a nice story about the soldier who went “above and beyond” the call of duty. If the CO is not a great writer or not inclined to write a good story or doesn’t like the soldier, that soldier will not get awarded a medal.
