LIVE BLOG: GOP Debate in Arizona on CNN – 2-22-2012

From GFK’s Polling to God’s Ears….

Good night. Sent you an admin note today re. my article proposal. We will “talk.”

From wikipedia:
The teenage birth rate in the United States is the highest in the developed world, and the teenage abortion rate is also high.[2] The U.S. teenage pregnancy rate was at a high in the 1950s and has decreased since then, although there has been an increase in births out of wedlock.[16] The teenage pregnancy rate decreased significantly in the 1990s; this decline manifested across all racial groups, although teenagers of African-American and Hispanic descent retain a higher rate, in comparison to that of European-Americans and Asian-Americans. The Guttmacher Institute attributed about 25% of the decline to abstinence and 75% to the effective use of contraceptives.[17] However, in 2006 the teenage birth rate rose for the first time in fourteen years.[18] This could imply that teen pregnancy rates are also on the rise, however the rise could also be due to other sources: a possible decrease in the number of abortions or a decrease in the number of miscarriages, to name a few.

Many a girl has prayed for her period to start, Murph, I’ll grant Ricky that much.”

ANOTHER OF YOUR FINE COMMENTS….there were several more. Thanks for all of them.

Wanted to acknowledge your comment regarding e-verify. Field of Lies. Neither the GOP or the Dems are honest in this issue, but the GOP is worse in the hypocrisy they spew forth. Lock the front doors they yell while opening the back door and windows. Marriot needs those beds changed. Whose going to do it?

Loved your comment about the Fox double wide. Did not have time to respond when you made. Gingrich…on the road.

Wanted to acknowledge this comment you left earlier:

I wrote:
paul consistent
santorum courage
romney resolute
gingrich cheerful So….stubborn, stubborn, stubborn, and delusional.”

Your reply:

“Of course they possess none of these. They must be talking about President Obama.”

YEP! In abundance.

Don’t know. Need to think it through. The “losing verdict” depends so much on how others see the event. BUT, I think Romney did well. Santorum played duck and cover AND did not push his strong (but nasty) angel strategy (vs. the devils). Gingrich got to be a brahmin who threw in the occasional grenade setting the stage for his future as the golden boy of the anti Obama right on the circuit…and Paul was Paul….knowing he can’t win but consistently wise on military policy and crazy everywhere else.

You left this answer for me earlier: “You do the only thing you can do use UN sanctions and contain the threat. Right now the US knows where Pakistan’s nukes are as much as Pakistan. NK is so isolated they can’t develop near the number of nukes they want. It’s truly an economic war of attrition. I think Obama will do the smart thing if reelected and even help Iran with their civil nuclear program. But if Iran is seriously on the way to developing dozens of deliverable nukes and does not change it’s posture anything is on the table”

This is a HOW I can endorse. Well done. Makes sense because it is economic, cooperative and diplomatic. With nice carrots and not too nasty sticks (which could force Iranian action we do not want).

I know but he does make sense in this.

Over to MSNBC….CNN JUST COVERS FOR THEIR LAME MODERATORS.

If King had balls he would have said-

No, if you do not want to answer the question, we move on. You just passed.

He didn’t. He can’t.

» Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On February 22, 2012 @ 6:56 pm

Biggest misconception

Paul- that I can’t win
Gingrich- I really did get it done
Romney- BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, AND I AM NOT GOING TO ANSWER THE QUESTION
Santorum- that I really can defeat Obama no matter how much money he has; and I am not Romney

KING NEED TO TELL ROMNEY-
No you do not get to give your closing speech…..next.

The 5 best school systems in the world are nationally funded, centrally controlled with highly paid/qualified teachers. with very well worked out standards. What they are advocating is total disaster.

Gingrich has been told by Eddelson….5 million now and 5 million later if you are good…..then go whole hog in the southern tier and have a respectable finish. And then out.

Who pays for customized education? How does it work? Rick wants us to go back to one room school houses and 19th century America. Now where is that “way back” machine?

» Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On February 22, 2012 @ 6:42 pm

Who do crippling sanctions hurt? The poor and middle classes who then become even more militant creating the need for even more preparation for war…

» Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On February 22, 2012 @ 6:40 pm

And the only one who knows what war really does.

» Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On February 22, 2012 @ 6:39 pm

But my questions is HOW do we do this. India, Pakistan, Israel, S. Africa, most of Europe, N. Korea…. HOW…HOW….HOW…

» Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On February 22, 2012 @ 6:38 pm

Santorum and Romney have been watching McCarthy Red Scare tapes for hours on end….the really have the wild eyed look down pat.

» Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On February 22, 2012 @ 6:37 pm

None of these guys really have the foggiest idea how the face of war has changed and will continue to change. Modern war doctrine, in development in the Pentagon for 8 years, dismisses virtually all of the assumptions they are making.

» Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On February 22, 2012 @ 6:36 pm

Paul speaking sense again….he will be dismissed as delusional.

» Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On February 22, 2012 @ 6:33 pm

KING IS SO WEAK….THE WORST.

» Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On February 22, 2012 @ 6:30 pm

How do we disallow a sovereign nation from developing military options….can they do the same to us.

» Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On February 22, 2012 @ 6:29 pm

NEWT – who has never served a second in the military just called the Gen Dempsey uninformed and wrong headed. I thought the GOP mantra was Trust the Generals.

» Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On February 22, 2012 @ 6:27 pm

Paul introduces the Draft….bottom line….our military personnel have been driven to the breaking point…if we do not have a large enough and renewing base we cannot maintain the size of our military. So if these guys do not favor a draft which puts folks of every class into uniform then they should shut up.

AND THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF THE FACE OF FUTURE WAR WHICH THE FLAG OFFICERS HAVE ENDORSED IS NONEXISTENT.

One word question: what is your astological sign?

» Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On February 22, 2012 @ 6:17 pm

Newt is trying out for the role of Brahman. Planning for his future engagements as a lordly pundit.
