this is such a classic video of that performance. Carlos was tripping his ass off during this set. He said, years later, that his fretboard on his guitar kept moving around in a wavy fashion. Amazing the he didn’t miss a note.

And the drummer. Whew, what energy and power. Nice to be young, eh?

I would say this “almost,” maybe does, reach the lofty heights of Mile’s Davis’ ‘Kind of Blue,” album, with Mr. Coltrane and Bill Evans. Almost! Definitely right behind!

I heard this the first time in my life when I was hundreds of miles away from my very first true love. This song blew me away when I heard it. It still does, all these years later.! Man, the energy, and feeling! This is not something that happens every day, ya know! I know you do. 😉
