Displaying 11,221 To 11,250 Of 11,789 Comments Yup, YouTube and images which posted disappear if I edit a comment and leave nothing but the code after saving. Don’t know why. » Posted By Khirad On February 25, 2011 @ 9:35 pm Cher, I usually crop mine in advance on my desktop with a simple graphic program, to the dimensions I want. Also a good pointer is to leave it a little larger than shown on the home page for 1) the slider, and 2) if done to actual size, it will still be compressed and shrunk – what I call the new t-shirt rule. » Posted By Khirad On February 25, 2011 @ 9:34 pm Why is my uploaded image cropped? It’s a .png, is that an issue? » Posted By Khirad On February 23, 2011 @ 8:07 pm Whatchya up to up there, AdLib? I see a new menu hath appeareth. 😉 » Posted By Khirad On February 23, 2011 @ 5:26 pm It’s totally not working right now. A WordPress issue. But, you can always borrow this:
» Posted By Khirad On February 19, 2011 @ 11:45 pm Yes, ChrisR, me and PocketWatch were the first to notice this. I’m glad for others to share in our frustration. Let’s all crack our whips at WordPress! » Posted By Khirad On February 18, 2011 @ 3:44 pm Well, I would call it a breeze, but yes, I had it down to a cold art. Now, posting one or two? Complete breeze. » Posted By Khirad On February 18, 2011 @ 3:43 pm This has been quite the inconvenient issue for me today. But hey, at least I’m not the one that has to figure out how to fix it. 😛 » Posted By Khirad On February 17, 2011 @ 10:38 pm It’s good to know it’s not an image limitation issue. That’s another trouble shot. » Posted By Khirad On February 17, 2011 @ 12:27 pm You think you have a problem? The whole bulk of my “article” is travel pictures! The text is the ornamentation! And now this makes more sense from last night on The Dark Times Are Here article. I should have realized then that ChrisR was having the same problem I was, too. » Posted By Khirad On February 17, 2011 @ 12:16 pm Ha! I’m not insane! (which is more a relief than you could know ) » Posted By Khirad On February 17, 2011 @ 12:04 pm Oh I just give up! I tried uploading a few to the server, I insert them and then I preview those… Still no images! WTF?! I’m about at rope’s end here with the troubleshooting I can do. Can an admin delete the published article? I have it backed up. I never had any of these problems before so I don’t know what to say, except that it must be something that changed with the switchover. I also went back to past additions when I inserted them via photobucket, and they’re still fine. So, does that help narrow down problems? Is there a permission issue, perhaps? …And I actually have another article I wanted to get to. This was supposed to be the “easy” one! I feel like laughing maniacally! » Posted By Khirad On February 17, 2011 @ 11:01 am Yeah, as a part of troubleshooting I started a new article via url and just inserted a sample image and while showing in visual and html mode, the preview mode didn’t show it. False alarm? Are other people’s linked images coming through when published? » Posted By Khirad On February 17, 2011 @ 10:14 am You could C&P the permalinks to a word document and check back later? » Posted By Khirad On February 17, 2011 @ 12:23 am I only uploaded one to the server for the preview image, the rest are on photobucket and were inserted via url, so you wouldn’t see them uploaded by date. Maybe I can C&P this into another fresh article, publish this one, and if it doesn’t work out delete it and go back to where we are now with that one? » Posted By Khirad On February 17, 2011 @ 12:20 am I inserted them all into the WordPress document individually using “insert image” one by one. I write the text. Then I open a new article and C&P that into the new one shortly before publishing. For some reason this fixed unwanted text wrapping issues I encountered early on when I began these. They are still there in the WordPress document in visual mode and the code is there in html form. It’s just when I hit ‘preview’ in the publish box that they disappear in the new window tab. That’s what gives me pause. I don’t think I bothered to hit preview on the original draft, do I don’t know how much this is a C&P glitch or a preview glitch. If I were to publish and they weren’t there it would take quite a while to edit and reinsert the images again. If it weren’t so image-heavy I’d risk it and clean up afterward. » Posted By Khirad On February 17, 2011 @ 12:01 am Oh crap, I might have to do this over. They’re from photobucket, and due to text formatting issues in the first draft I’ve always copied the page and pasted in a new article before publishing and it always worked. Perhaps now it doesn’t recognize the source of the images after I’ve pasted them. I might sleep on this one. » Posted By Khirad On February 16, 2011 @ 11:42 pm Yes K, I think I will just to be on the safe side. It’d be quite embarrassing for my post to be naked. » Posted By Khirad On February 16, 2011 @ 11:07 pm Okay K, I just don’t want to publish and for them not to be there. It’s one of my trip series which is mostly pictures. » Posted By Khirad On February 16, 2011 @ 10:42 pm Help! Pictures are not showing up when I preview the page. Will they show up when I publish? » Posted By Khirad On February 16, 2011 @ 10:28 pm I was about to say the same but figured AdLib was up to fiddling with something. » Posted By Khirad On October 12, 2010 @ 10:09 am Yes, and it only showed up in preview. So, I keep thinking things are dandy and I’ve outsmarted it, but when I’m ready, it throws a wrench in my plans at the last minute. Ah, technology. No I understand, and was holding off on informing you of the new version, as I’m sure you got the same notice as me! 😉 That makes sense to wait. One problem I also have with it, is that I wish it was less wide and taller. I sometimes like to see more than a paragraph at a time. That’s just been another pet peeve of mine with wordpress. » Posted By Khirad On August 6, 2010 @ 6:03 pm Ack, I just cut and pasted and started a brand new page. Fortunately, that seemed to get all the bad formatting and my clumsy attempts at rectifying the issue in HTML cleared. I won’t even bother justifying the text, as I’m not messing with this now! This automatic text wrapping I’ll try to preempt next time. It’s annoying. » Posted By Khirad On August 6, 2010 @ 2:16 pm Oh no, it’s happening again – stupid text wrapping. And this time all the pictures were done left-aligned. WTH? » Posted By Khirad On August 6, 2010 @ 12:22 pm [never mind, it was an alignment issue] Never had this problem before. Why is my text wrapping around my pictures?. As soon as I hit preview post, all formatting is lost. I ready to go, and this is so frustrating. » Posted By Khirad On July 30, 2010 @ 3:52 pm Is there any particular reason there’s no discernible link to morning blog? Sometimes I wanna return to something later that day, or leave something early, but can never find it. Is there a reason for this? » Posted By Khirad On June 15, 2010 @ 1:35 am Oh no it’s doing it again. Edit: and now it’s back again… » Posted By Khirad On June 15, 2010 @ 1:31 am Yay, they just reappeared! » Posted By Khirad On June 14, 2010 @ 12:58 am Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/planet23/public_html/wp-content/plugins/pierres-wordspew/widgetized.php on line 24 — Whatever that means… By the way, why does editing comments sometimes freeze the blinky cursor and prevent typing? That » Posted By Khirad On March 26, 2010 @ 2:59 pm No, but I try to C&P to Word as a backup for text – except when I get complacent… It’s kinda tricky as I can be link-heavy. » Posted By Khirad On March 26, 2010 @ 12:25 pmComments Posted By Khirad
