“Popping Like Popcorn”

Cheers, I just wanted to start out with a straight opinion piece and not one of my articles that requires much more research to get going. In addition to the science and religion article I told you about I’m working on an article about Dr. Tiller who really saved dozens of woman’s lives and the right wing lunatic fringe.

BTW I like the thumbnail ration in this format better as well. It’s now 1.5 to 1.0 which is actually easier to work with than the previous format. I’m not creating too man graphics yet for my major articles because I know the site is in some flux.

I really like the comment boxes too. Just so much easier to read.

I’m going with just KQuark on PlanetPOV (actually that was the original moniker I used on HP and I use for my fantasy teams) but just to remind you I’m still the SuperKollider I’ll test out adding this image.

FYI One thing I noticed is that that the thumbnail ratio for images on the front page are almost exactly 1.75 to 1.00 (very close to 16X9 ratio used for HDTV as well) so if you use images with dimensions close to that ratio they will show up well in the thumbnails and posts. So for articles like my articles on the environmental impact of nonionic surfactants I’ve made my main graphic for “Chemistry” roughly with that same ratio as the thumbnail.

It doesn’t have to be exact and I noticed it’s better to be on the high side of the ratio say even as high as 2:1 without many negative effects. Your pictures will just be automatically cropped to that ratio.

My left eyes tends to be my problem eye as well. But some days like this past Tuesday I just could not focus after I woke up for a few hours. Late at night I have the same problem.

I really like the way these comment boxes look. I don’t know about you Kalima but they are much easier for me to read and follow. Because my blood pressure gets so low my vision goes in and out quite a bit. I just wish these bloody comment boxes on wordpress were a little wider.

I tried to embed a youtube video like we could on bobc and it doesn’t work, but I’m sure its not a problem with the site. We probably just don’t have that capability.

Inglorious Basterds – A Casualty of Glory

That’s very disappointing. Like you said some of his early work like “Pulp Fiction” though too raw for some was really groundbreaking, well groundbreaking to audiences outside of the independent film sphere anyway.

I like movies with an edge. IFC has a great series now with “Asian Extreme” that we enjoy watching quite a bit.

There have been some excellent live action remakes of Anime series that have come out like “Death Note” and “Blood+” that you should catch as well.
