LIVE BLOG – GOP Debate in FL on CNN – 1-26-2012

Exactly the GOP establishment was in a panic after SC. So they carpet bombed Newt.

Anyone with a spouse knows this. I really like the Dem Strategist (Jimmy Williams) said on the Ed Show tonight. He knows all the lies and weaknesses will come to haunt Romney.

Looking back at the debate clips on MSNBC I could not help but see that Romney bought the crowd, aka it was a Brooks Bros crowd for Romney. They really were not cheering for conservative ideas. Them cheering Romney defending the mandate was as contrived as it gets. It’s amazing how Romney is going to buy this GOP nomination. Good thing the Obama grassroots machine will not be bought.

So teabaggers were shouting death panels and death threats to Dems over the fight to pass the ACA. But now Romney tells the GOP base it’s ‘Not Worth Getting Angry’ over it. This guy is going to be hated by both sides before the general election the 99% and his teabagger base.

Yes they will get the subsidy system with the ACA and get better coverage.

Last poll I saw 80%+ like MassCare but it’s much more expensive than the ACA will be and has worse coverage.

The first president I remember talking about faith was actually Carter.

Absolutely doctors are starting to get behind the ACA more and more.

With the base Santorum won by a long shot attacking Willard on Romneycare.

Romney is now again the presumptive nominee after this debate.

As expected the GOPTEA Base is furious at Romney after the debate.

Almost a full year into the presidential campaign, Romney finally received a full-fledged beatdown for his mendacity over healthcare. He has the nerve to feign outrage over Obamacare, even while he touts Romneycare – a carbon copy of Obamacare – as a virtuous success, supported by 90% of Massachusetts residents. Santorum did his homework, and called him out on the hypocrisy. Romney was never able to answer why the same market intervention and distortions – mandates, subsidies, and Medicaid – which form the bedrock of Obamacare , supposedly worked so well in Massachusetts. The reason he couldn’t answer the question is because Romneycare was a complete failure. It is the canary in the coal mine for Obamacare…

…In other words, Romneycare, at its core, is exactly like Obamacare. When Romney could not articulate any fundamental difference between the two pernicious government takeovers, he wandered off into ancillary differences. He pointed out that Obamacare contains 2600 pages, raises taxes, and cuts Medicare. However, those are all nebulous differences related to the packaging or funding of the proposal. At the core, they are the same; mandates, subsidies, and Medicaid. That core is what Romney recently dubbed as fundamentally a conservative principle.

People on the left may not understand how big a deal this is. To give an analogy on the left this would be like Obama taking income inequality and the Buffet rule off the table in the 2012 election.

I thought his answers on healthcare were criminally insane considering he’s a doctor.

Now we go full circle where Ron Paul is spouting left wing conspiracies claiming Obama expanded war in Iraq.

One thing is for sure Romney has taken repealing the ACA totally off the table for the election. He keeps on showing what is good about the ACA and now has flip flopped back again and at least showed tacit support for the individual mandate.

They know they are not going to do shyte against Castro.

NO.

AdLib not everyone thinks Romney won. I’m hearing more people posting your interpretation that Romney came of as a ‘rich prick’ on answers like his blind trust. Remember this was the same Romney that attacked Teddy for blind trusts.

This is why anyone who calls themselves progressive and liberals should kick their own arses. Thousands more people die in this country because they lack coverage than any so called civil liberties abuse overseas. Talk about penny wise and pound foolish. If you want real civil justice support as many people as possible being able to afford healthcare coverage.

Rubio is one of the few I can name but most are Cuban because they hate Castro.

» Posted By KQµårk 死神 On January 26, 2012 @ 6:19 pm

This makes no sense especially since the ER free rider exists that Reagan of all presidents strengthened.

» Posted By KQµårk 死神 On January 26, 2012 @ 6:17 pm

That will kill Mittens with his base. They are going to hate him more now and many won’t come out to vote just over the individual mandate issue.

The Ayn Rand form of economic Darwinism that Ron Paul espouses as well ties the invisible hand behind the invisible back.

The Great Newtzoo continues.

Indeed AdLib the pettiness and combativeness in these GOP debates translate poorly in a general election debate. Romney would look worse than McCain if he acts like this in a debate against Obama. Romney would also not get off with the argument that Obama is just as bad as me like with Romney’s investments in companies that foreclosed on FL voters because Obama does not have that baggage.

» Posted By KQµårk 死神 On January 26, 2012 @ 5:55 pm

Newt had to win so he lost.

» Posted By KQµårk 死神 On January 26, 2012 @ 5:46 pm

I’m sure Romney’s Goldman Sachs elite fund investment will get a piece of that pie.

Looks like Gingrich is going to lose FL after all.
