I work alone all day everyday. I have my Ipod on mostly all day long. If ever I am called to the front office, usually to help a sales rep with a potential client, I am txted on my cell. They know I am paying No attention to anyone, the also know the more bent I am, the Louder the headphones. I hate it!!! Even worse, my girlfriend works there as well. She is treated like shit and all I can do is try to help her keep it all together. I am unbreakable and can look past to discretions but when my GF comes to my room crying, it sure is not easy. I really need to clue you in on what I have been doing lately, I think it might share some light. I am NOT a people person, so I have left all sales up to her (GF). She can start conversation with just about anyone as to I am more the type to tell folks to go to Hell. She needs to Hone her skills at dealing with folks and really needs to gain her self confidence in sales. I think sometimes that sharing conversation here with folks is helping in my abhorant feelings toward people. But maybe just on the top layer. I work for a moron that just doesn’t see things this way. We have three Illegals that work for us, I call them the “Illegirls”. They get all the kudos and best x-mas bonuses. I have Mastered my work with 23 years of experience to back it up. What pisses me off is how Craftsmen and Women are seldomly rewarded for Honing their skills to be of the Top Notch Lot. Somewhere the idea has abandoned many business owners. Some forget that to be a Police Chief, you maybe had to be a good (experienced) cop to begin with. I work in the most Ass Backwards company of my life, Hence, taking all my skills to open doors, that are New and Unique. The company I work for is Non corporate at this time. I have been at my current job for nearly 5 years now. I am THE ONLY person hired over those last 5 years that did not either work there before, or has Family members that work there. I truly believe that corporate america is beyond nepotism, it seems like it’s everywhere! We have the slackers you mention, who make more money than they actually contribute. Who could Never keep a job in the real world. I am starting to Rant here.
