Time Out for O/T – Vol. 2

I sure missed a great day of comments. We had a big storm and lost power last night. It took all day for it to return.
Loved the letters to the Greek Whoracle Boomer and Sue, I’m not quite ready to delete my profile, I think I’ve thought up a sneaky little plan to promote this site, so until I’ve exhausted that avenue, I’ll stay. What I wanted to say was……
Has anyone seen this petition from Grayson?
He’s trying to push back on the up and coming vote by the SCOTUS.
The petition is opposing the decision that is expected to undo limits on corporate spending in federal campaigns.

What!!!no exit polls??!!!
Anyone heard anything, I’m on pins and needles.
I don’t think she’ll lose, but I certainly won’t want to hear the gloating if she does.
Anyone know anything?…I don’t have a TV.

Time Out for OT – Vol 8

I did check the comments from that last link.

While I have NO idea what the Americans were doing over there, it was very telling that they, overwhelmingly, feel wronged by the US for detaining other people without charges and say they are suspected terrorists.
Sounds like all our arguments about why we should not torture and detain people unlawfully (thanks to Bush/Cheney Cabal) are showing themselves to be true. The “if we can do it to them, they can do it to us,” mentality.

If you have netfix you can watch instantly online or rent the DVD’s
That was a crazy soap! Never really watched it except on occasions.

I did say a bit down the thread that I had to go pick up my daughter….now I’m back. I am a late nighter, whenever I get here everyone’s gone to bed.:(

Got Y and R runnin in the back ground.
I don’t have cable, internet only. I can watch what I want when I want.
I’ve got to have some bit of silliness in my life too, I’ll see if they have the book at the library.
I ran into a copy of One Hundred Yeats of Solitude and started reading it again. That was a great book. I don’t usually read a book twice but this one is worth it.

I saw something about that football league at HuffPo the other day, didn’t read it though. And I grew up in the day of women’s roller derby. My mother loved it!
It’s fascinating to see women get so ruff!
I don’t do Dancing with the Stars.

And the way they all wear skimpy little strappy numbers to work!! we have a blast making up jokes, and I could easily believe that lily girl is a snob!!
I truly don’t want to leave the house, but my daughter is waiting and I need to fill the propane tank, It’s been rainin here today and we’re right on the creek, it’s gettin a bit nippy and the propane runs the heater, so I better get to runnin. I’ll be sure and check back in again SOON!

Love Bollywood, been watching that stuff for years, right now I’m lovin women’s MMA..brutal!!!

I knocked out 10 front teeth, top and bottom in a bad bicycle accident. I’m taking all the top ones out and will have to go with a set of uppers! I look like a six year old right now. The teeth were cracked under the gum so it’s been difficult, but soooo much better…
And.. not many people use hydro for plants, that’s mostly large scale agriculture.
My son was the manager and he partnered with a friend to buy it. It was already named, Specialty Hydro and Garden so they left it.
Mostly sell lights, ballists, fertilizer, dirt, you name it we got it. It’s a large warehouse.
He was smart to go into this end of the business.
I work there, but only to manage the up keep of the place, not sales. I can help with some, I’m not that knowledgeable about the ins and outs. Like electric situations and venting issues. I love it though and am very curious what will happen if it is legalized.
I say decriminalize, not so sure about that new laws won’t be put into place that will get folks arrested for other things
Keep your government hands off my marijuana!

I’m so happy to say I’ve never taken the pill in my 57 years here. I do have 4 children, but never unwanted ones!!
The IUD was a great invention. I hear that they figured it out because people would put stones up into a camel’s uterus when they were on long caravan journeys and didn’t want that camels getting pregnant…could just be rumor…??1!

PS I have been lurking around here, but just not commenting…funny how soaps could get me to log in!!!
Do you remember that very funny sitcom that spoofed soaps, it was called Soaps I think?

I’m doing better than ever. Starting to get my teeth fixed, it’s been a while since my accident, but finally got a dental plan that is excellent and I’m on my way to feeling human again… had a biopsy that turned out was just fine and I also might be getting my own place to live soon and can move out of my son’s house.
Still don’t have a job, but I do have work.
My son owns a business..Hydroponics and Garden Supplies.
I’m setting up a nursery and ponds in a barrel kind of garden eco shop within his store. He’s got the traffic, it’s our family business so I’m going to step in and give it my best.
I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say that most of the people are buying equipment to grow marijuana, if they pass the law in Nov that legalizes it in CA, I’ll already be set up to cash in on that too.
In the mean time it’s just flowers veggies and fruit tress. I’m too old to worry about doing anything illegal!!
So I’ve been keepin pretty busy!

And yes, Victor, just recently, got back with Nikki who’s showin’ her age these days….and yes it’s fun!! Just ask if you’re in the need to know..I used to watch Bold and Beautiful when I sewed a lot and was looking for something “mindless”:)

This mess has saddened me more than I care to admit.
The devastation will be more than any of us can know.
It broke my heart to tell you the truth, the lose of life and lively hood is overwhelming.
And knowing the Cheney Cabal was involved made it truly unbearable.

Wow, I hadn’t checked in for a while and we’re discussing soaps!!??

Funny thing is recently my son and I got hooked on the Young and the Restless.
We religiously watch Keith, Rachel and then the soap, maybe follow it up with some Jon Stewart.
It’s hilarious and we just talk and make fun of the stuff happening.
It’s a great relief after the news sometimes.
I never looked at their blog though. Might be entertaining some time!!

Time Out for OT – Vol. 5

I think this schedule for Obama couldn’t hurt…but Michael Moore?? I don’t think the President is radical like that in any way.
Thanks for posting the letter. I wanted to read it but you saved me some time looking around for it. Much appreciated.

I’ll have to check back later to see if there’s an answer to that Cher.I too have wondered about that question many times.

My thoughts too. Just not exciting enough. I only found out from Colbert. He covered it quite excellently.

I always forget they have quakes out there. Do you know if they ever had any big ones?

» Posted By Hopeington On March 5, 2010 @ 3:01 pm

Ok you guys are all getting real funny!!
But I have a question…Where is the media coverage about ACORN being cleared of all charges and the O’Keeffe videos turned out (of course) to be heavily edited to make things appear other than what they were. Politico had a little something about it, can’t find it again. NYdDaileyNews removed the story. Media Matters has something about it, but what about all the “liberal” media networks that couldn’t keep this off the front page?
I’m disgusted and pissed about this.

» Posted By Hopeington On March 5, 2010 @ 2:58 pm

Don’t be usin up any brain cells trying to figure that out Sue. I don’t think they even know, or just when you “figure them out” they’ll be off and running on the next tangent.
Any way, I think the Tparty thinks they were duped by this guy..as I said …any means necessary. He used them.

» Posted By Hopeington On March 5, 2010 @ 12:34 pm

And Good CA Afternoon to you too Sue!
Cloudy skies but no rain today. It hailed so hard the other day it looked like it snowed!!!

» Posted By Hopeington On March 5, 2010 @ 12:31 pm

Hey Hi…I’ve been out finding work and workin it!!…not a job, but money is good. At least I have options.
GROW is certainly coming together. I’m not stable enough right now to offer much help except as a cheer leader.
So…Go Team Go!!

I don’t think Brown is a “true” teabagger. I think he used whatever means necessary to get elected.

Here’s a couple things that make me hopeful that people are going to take matters into their own hands in a positive way.

Maine Town Passes Ordinance Asserting Local Self-Governance and Stripping Corporate Personhood

This is a good idea and the right direction for “taking our country back” !!!

Sen. Levin moves to block Blackwater
