He says police beat him with batons A second Iraq war veteran has suffered serious injuries after clashes between police and Occupy movement protesters in Oakland. Kayvan Sabehgi, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, is in intensive care with a lacerated spleen. He says he was beaten by police close to the Occupy Oakland camp, but despite suffering agonising pain, did not reach hospital until 18 hours later. This is unconscionable in this richest of all nations! If you consider that each home would have housed an average of four people, then 28 MILLION men, women and children have been forcibly thrown out of their homes! This would equate to almost 10% of our population! My GOD in heaven! When is this government going to get off its ASS and do something to help the American people??? I am losing all patience! I’m sure I’m not the only one! Dr. Stiglitz also indirectly brings up another point…that of the problem of homeless in this country. We have families living in broken-down cars, in cardboard boxes under bridges. We see them standing on street corners with their homemade signs, begging for food or work. Where is our government’s response to this crisis? Many veterans have returned home from the wars after serving this country, only to find themselves homeless and without employment. WTF?? Meanwhile, our esteemed Congress members continue as they have been doing, taking one week of vacation for every two weeks of work. No bills can be introduced, debated or voted upon…at least not if they are bills suggested by the President…remember, he’s black! I’m sorry, Planeteers! I had been looking for one for a while. This one had immaculate care (one owner) and was in pristine condition. Complete service records from Day #1. Not a scratch on the original paint! I did a bunch of checking and found it to be as advertised. I flew up to Pittsburgh and drove it back to NC! Never a moment’s trouble and it runs like a top! I got such a good deal!
