I can only pray that the Secret Service will keep the President and the First Family safe. I worry about the girls leaving the White House and going to school each day. I’m sure they are taking every precaution.

KQ, yes, that was wonderful! What a great thing to do for those sailors who are soon to deploy for a long spell at sea. It was beautiful to see the President lean in and give the First Lady a kiss! They are such wonderful representatives for us all!

The game lacked a little, at least in the beginning. I am accustomed to UNC playing at a very high level. They seemed to be having some early problems but soon got it under control. I can imagine that the perception of where the basket is would be problematic in that kind of environment. Things seemed to improve when the sun went down and they were under artificial lighting.

Basketball is sacred in these parts…North Carolina! I try to never miss a game! Great entertainment for sure! Let’s just admit it now…UNC is damned good this year! I expect them to take the National title…AGAIN! 🙂

We have one heck of a team this year and I am so excited to see them for the first time this season. Going to a game in Chapel Hill NC is a fantastic experience! The Dean Dome on the campus of UNC is an amazing place…so much wonderful history!

For all basketball fans, especially UNC fans, as well as those who like looking at aircraft carriers, the North Carolina-Michigan game is being televised on ESPN beginning at 7pm Eastern.

KT, I was about to say the same thing. The VA has improved greatly and is supposedly one of our best “government run” institutions. Romney and the rest are morons! They just can’t give this “privatization” thing up! I don’t believe that’s what the American people want.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it! Bush sure wasn’t worried about being a target. If the carrier was sitting out in the Persian Gulf, that might be an issue…but Norfolk? (I’m actually not sure where it is.)

My prediction…the UNC Tar Heels will take this one! 🙂

KQ, I didn’t mention that one because I don’t think we’ve heard the end of it yet. It may be that SCOTUS striking it down is unprecedented, but with that bunch, I would not put it past them. It will be interesting though. If they uphold it, the individual mandate will be a HUGE gift to the insurance industry. That’s probably how it will turn out IMO.

I wonder just how much politics/money/bribery will be figured into their decision. Sad state of affairs! 🙁
