You know, I agree with you, Patsy.
When he steps into the picture, it does bring all that other shit into play and distracts from what is really going on here.
I think he is smart enough to know that.
Can you imagine what the Roves and his ilk of the right wing spin machine would do with pictures of Obama in the square in front of the WI statehouse?
I think Ed has done a great job reporting this story, but he is not thinking clearly about if and how Obama should be involved.

I like how that sounds! I can see that. Your color tastes sound like how mine trend. I went away from red to the orange because it seemed to blend more smoothly with colors like nutmeg, flax and burlap. My walls are all faux painted (linen and frottage) because I hate flat walls. Since the kitchen sits in the middle of all the rooms, I tried to find something what was punchy and fun but would still tie everything together. Red wouldn’t do it, but Orange… I liked that I could go with some bright and yet earthy colors for accessories. The yellows, greens and orange just work.
I’d say go with it, Abby.
The two toned cabinets will look great.
You can even consider painting the upper cabinets one shade and the lower ones a shade darker.

Have you thought about orange? My cabinets are done (20 years of our hard use), but about year 15, I got a wild hair and decided to punch up the kitchen with some color. I painted the cabinets a shade less intense than tangerine (had a titch of pink in it) and the doors an oatmeal color. Changed the hardware to a contemporary pewter, switched out all the strike plates to steel, and decorated with orange, bright yellow and lime green accessories. Looked absolutely smashing!

It is not just about me and others; my choices should also be guided by what is good for social phenomenon we create by agreeing to unite.

I am one of those people blessed (or cursed, depending on where you’re standing) with expensive taste. Put five versions of the same item in front of me, and I will without fail pick the most expensive one as the one I prefer.
I like things of quality and artfulness. Who doesn’t? But I also am loathe to spend the money.
So, I have learned how to do it myself, as you clearly also do, Abby.
My husband used to groan when I tell him I’m going to the hardware store for some paint–the sure sign I’m getting ready to re-do a room.
I would tell him, “Oh get over it, it’s only paint.”
After 33 years, he now jumps for joy when I announce it’s painting time. He knows I’m about to tackle a room, make it look great, and not break our bank account doing so.
The cool thing about paint: if you don’t like it, you can paint over it.

Hey, JD, I just want to say thanks for that.
I was in high school here in OH-IO when the terrible events happened at Kent State. Horrifying is inadequate in describing how we all felt watching this as it happened. I can’t begin to tell you how afraid and truly worried about all our safety we were. To think that our own neighbors or friends could be ordered by the Governor of the State to treat citizens in this way is the most unsettling feeling I have ever had.
This is why I worry now. This Governor in Wisconsin talking about calling out the National Guard? I wouldn’t put it past John Kasich to do the same.

Hi hon:
It is, he lives in the Medallion Golf community on Hoover Resevoir. I don’t blame his wife for not wanting to move the girls from their school, but when his staff asked for 3 MILLION to upgrade the “security” at his home, I about had a cow.
Needless to say, they had to backtrack real fast on that 3 million request.
He is an elitist jerk who’s going to run ripshod over this state’s citizens.
I’m just sick about this.
