LIVE BLOG – Super Tuesday 2012

As I think about it–election fun aside–it’s really truly horrific that Santorum has so many people who think he’s worthy of anything but derision. I mean, my god, the man is a zealot, a homophobe, a misogynist and overall hater. I know he can’t win the general, but it is awfully troubling how many maniacs there are.

But that’s the only way to kill ’em–in the head. Don’t ask me why.

😆 Of course! Nary a one among them.

From a MoJo post: Mitt Romney’s Zombie Problem
The GOP front-runner’s grabbing more of the delegates—but he’s being pursued by living-dead competitors he cannot stop.

If Adleson really, really doesn’t want Santorum to win, he’s going to have to come through with a lot of money for Newt. Otherwise, I don’t see him able to stay in the race.

President Obama was smiling the same way today when he wished Romney luck, huh?

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 8:40 pm

Excellent, funk! Don’t know if you’re right on all of those–Romney can still do some damage with his big bucks–but that is an awesome scenario. And entirely plausible. Yippee!

Oh god, I forgot about him!!

Putin is on a roll; he wins Alaska.

Hubby just walked by to say: “Let the cheating begin!” He’s convinced the GOP won’t let Santo win.

Rachel just helped McHacky McFineman coin a great term for the GOP race: The Big Queasy. I love that.

Mitt now almost 2000 votes ahead in OH. But only 86% in!

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 8:08 pm

@chucktodd: History of OH is that the count doesn’t get to 99 percent reporting until 6am the next morning. Would mean we couldn’t call

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 8:03 pm

Newt is such a whore. An old, bloozy, fat whore.

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:59 pm

Well said, Food!

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:57 pm

I haven’t heard yet, AdLib. They are the big ones though–Cleveland and Cincinnati, I think.

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:53 pm

Martin Bashir just compared Mitt to Prince Charles–he’ll never be King, he’s never giving up, and the longer he’s around the less people like him. Plus if he ever becomes king, he’ll be too old. HAH!

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:51 pm

And a guy who has such terrible organization he couldn’t even remember to file to get on ballots!

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:46 pm

Holy cow. 84% of OH vote in, less than 3k votes for Santo. But really, Romney already lost. If it’s that close, Romney has just failed big time.

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:44 pm

AdLib, most of the time I feel as you do. Every so often though I get worried.

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:42 pm

Sally, George Will said Sunday just that–the race os over and concentrate Congress. Yesterday and today, Scarborough wanted to hang himself; he called Romney a liar. It’s all about the down-ticket now, and I do think even when Mitt loses to Obama, voters LIKE divided government.

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:40 pm

Dennis is certainly better than a Repub, but he lost me on the impeachment thingy.

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:37 pm

Me too! And it’s very possible Santorum could win OH. Even if Mitt squeaks by, he’s in the race for a while more.

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:35 pm

Joe the Plumber is losing. Down at 48%. Opponent Steven Kraus at 52%. Oh, and Santo won No. Dakota.

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:30 pm

I tend to agree that he’s pretty weak but this is still the primary–so I don’t know how deftly he’ll be able to pivot for the general. I have read some articles that say how he’ll position himself to Indies. They appear plausible. While personally I think he cannot pivot back form his lies and RW stances, I still can’t fully trust the electorate. That said, I’ve never felt more confident about an Obama win.

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:21 pm

I agree. I commented too soon. But he was the least boring and lethargic, and his(paid?) crowd was too. He’s really so amazingly hollow.

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:14 pm

Kaptur over Kucinich 52-44 w 49% reporting. YES!

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 7:12 pm

It’s deliberate. It makes him seem less a robot.

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 6:58 pm

Sally, I’m rooting for Santo to win the nom. He is a huge loser. As much as I distrust the voters, there is no way we are that insane. And beyond that, I want the Repubs to run the most conservative candidate, so we can end once and for all the Repub idea that they can win by that ideology.

» Posted By Chernynkaya On March 6, 2012 @ 6:57 pm

Mitt is the only one with any energy. So far, his speech is effective.
