President Obama Confronts the GOP Head On

javaz, I sent an e-mail to CNN this afternoon regarding John King’s twitter remarks…told them they were offbase, petty and could they please stop treating us as if we were 6 yr. olds…recieved a nice thank you e-mail!

“I read an article earlier in which Brown has told the GOP not to expect him to vote along party lines and tow the GOP line.”

And this is why our buddy the Beckster is having an issue with Brown….could mean trouble for the T’Baggers….rut row ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Very good point nellie, I think your right, didn’t think of that…thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

I think they were proud of that one…”oh look Mitch, our talking point worked, he’s admitting that it is one big Bolshevik plot!”

The twits…

Last night he looked like he was sauced, maybe it’s his hangover?

Hey Em, good to see you!

Yes, he was “Brilliant”…

javaz, I think the Independents are paying attention to every thing that goes on in Washington with both parties.

To bad this conference did not take place BEFORE the Mass. election, I think there would have been a different outcome.

Some of my favorite lines by Obama from today’s conference:

How do you fight SAD?

Them boys are some real hillbillies…wonder where there stills are located?

If I was a bear, I would run from the hunters not the dogs.

kes, sure, why not, what’s one more. But you have to be able laugh a lot and talk very loud when we all get together!

e’cat, good for you, watch out you’ll catch the gardening bug and be consumed by it!

Raised beds are the way to go, better drainage and weed control. Here are some of the better catalogues for seeds and they also have instructional books on starting a veggie garden for your area.

boom, LOL! May I use that nickname for Bonehead when posting over on the other side?

» Posted By BigDogMom On January 28, 2010 @ 4:12 pm

kes, the seed and plant catalogs started the day after Christmas and I think I get every one of them!

Since I don’t have kids, every Mother’s Day I plant my sister’s, who do have kids, big pots with grasses and annuals as their gifts…my mother was an avid gardener and not so much into cooking too, I seem to be the only one, out of four daughters, that can do both. Sometimes I wonder what house my sister’s grew up in!

Gross! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

That reminds me of the statement:

“Are we having fun yet” ๐Ÿ˜€

Pepe, I don’t think I have SAD, but my husband definitely does, he sleeps, like a bear hibernating during the winter months. So far 16 hrs. in one day is his all time sleep record.

But like you, I plan in the winter months when daylight is at a premium. There seems to be more time for me to sit down, (less of that need to be in the garden doing something), and get my thoughts together.

In the winter I usually stand at the kitchen window and re-design my gardens, better to see the bones of it. Making notes on what should be moved, what should be divided and what’s going to be torn out…if you require too much work in my garden, your outta here and placed in my annual spring plant sale where someone else can fight with you!

I make a list of all the things that need or I want to be done in the house, I go room by room, dreaming, wishing and drawing the changes I want made…I have told my carpenter that he has a job for life in this old house!

So, I must be more of an all season kinda of Gal, I like them all, each one has it’s own beauty….

Rashomon 7: Barack Obama’s first State of the Union address

Breibart is just another republican meshugana…talking to hear himself talk, with no purpose in this world other than to be an ass, like so many of them.

Cher, I am so glad that a greater number of posters there are calling her out…her numbers are dropping steadily according to e’cats post yesterday, wonder how she will re-invent herself when this site fails to draw the numbers for advertising….Entertainment News?

» Posted By BigDogMom On January 28, 2010 @ 2:37 pm

That is Bizarro World over there…only go over to the dark side when I have the strength to deal with them, it’s usually when I’m really pissed off that I go!

» Posted By BigDogMom On January 28, 2010 @ 2:34 pm

Sue, just watched the video…that hurt my ears, did you read the comments? Here’s some good ones…LOL! ๐Ÿ˜›

“This reminds me of “Sports Shouting”

“Cable News….
Fellow Romans, I give you the lead in our water supply”

“Yelling truly is the most effective strategy for everything.”

I love reading other peoples comments, makes me feel like I’m not the only sane one, in this world of crazzies!

» Posted By BigDogMom On January 28, 2010 @ 2:32 pm

And this is why I e-mail the news stations every time she is on, asking them, “Why? She is not a progressive, she is just a contrarian for the money.”

» Posted By BigDogMom On January 28, 2010 @ 2:20 pm

Sometimes it takes awhile to get over that… ๐Ÿ™‚

Sue, what I was thinking was more along the lines of a YouTube video that goes viral, like:

Are there penguins in Canada?

» Posted By BigDogMom On January 28, 2010 @ 2:50 pm

This is why I feel it is necessary for those of us that are discontented with the media here should speak out.

I think it’s time that they, along with our representatives, to hear our voices.

If they ignore us, then we should start of movement somehow to get everyone to stop watching for a day or so…maybe then they will notice us.

Can you hear my discontent, too much? ๐Ÿ™‚

» Posted By BigDogMom On January 28, 2010 @ 2:13 pm

I’m so tired of the freakin American MSM it’s not silly…it has become a popularity contest on who can be the most contrarian.

If Obama or anyone in his administration says or does one thing, they say he’s wrong, convene a panel of half wit pundits, discuss ad nauseum why he’s wrong and what he should do or not do, basically beat the horse to death and then replay it two hours later, because apparently there is nothing else in this world that has happened that is more important than their opinion on this particular situation.

This is why I started to watch the BBC News and reading foreign newspapers online, thanks Kalima…they seem far more “fair and balanced” then what we are getting here in the US, which is nothing more than a pile of you know what steaming in the cold air.

» Posted By BigDogMom On January 28, 2010 @ 2:08 pm

Unfortunately due to Murdoch’s success and his outspoken media darlings that make the headlines, ( because of their antics, not the worthiness of their journalism), the rest of the MSM is following suit.

President bashing seems to be the thing these days, it’s the “What’s happening now, what’s next” mentality that draws the people in.

I support my President!

Cher, I saved this test and may post this link over at HP, if I ever go back there…would be fun to see some neocon taking this test and suddenly seeing that they are a more left than they realized! That would be a hoot! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
