Morning everyone, wanted to post this last night, but was in such a tizzy after hearing it, my husband suggested that I calm down first…still in a tizzy over it, don’t think my anger has abated much. Here it goes:

Yesterday afternoon, while walking my dog at the “dog park”, as usual, I met up with some other dog owners who are usually there the same time as me. Win, my dog is a dog’s dog, loves to run and play with them as opposed to me, a human. Apparently I am no fun, since I refuse to roll around in the snow with him and suck on his neck in play fighting.

As we were walking and talking, the conversation rolled around to President’s Day and who had it off, one of the dog owners who I called “Bob the Builder” kiddingly, that I have known for years, made the follow proclamation:

“Yes, since the Blacks have “Martin Luther King Day”, we were given “President’s Day”, they get to have their day off and we get have ours.”

If I hadn’t fallen into 3 ft. of snow when I turned quickly towards him, Bob the Builder would have been out cold…I was shocked to hear such a ignorant statement!

What an ASSHOLE I thought, feeling my anger rise and my face getting red. I quickly turned towards the path to the wood, needing to get away from this idiot before I did something that I might regret and be banned from the dog park for life!

I’m still upset, I just can’t believe that someone I had known for years, who was always polite, funny, friendly…well Bob, in my eyes from now on, you will no longer be “Bob the Builder” you have been Christened:

@boomer, my mother was a southerner, we were brought up calling her Ma’am, it was only when my sisters and I were talking about her, did we refer to her as “Mommy”, when talking about her to others we used “Mother”.

My father was “Sir”, as I got older and would call him, I used to kiddingly call him “Pops”, but that was just between us.

We were taught at an early age to say, “Please, “Thank you” and “Pardon”, and I am glad to say that my sisters who have children have passed that on.

Agreed, I think we may have become lazy in our typing due to the fact of the speed in which posting over yonder there sometimes occurred. I will in the future heed your words and give the person(s) who holds these esteemed offices the respect in which they deserve.

Oh, by the way, in the south it is a sign of respect to call a women in a higher position in the family than you, but not necessarily older than you “Miss” then her Christian name…ie., Miss Boomer. 😕

Just make sure they don’t follow it with, “Bless her heart”! 🙂

Shirley Sherrod is getting even…

Former US Department of Agriculture employee Shirley Sherrod has made good on her word: she’s suing conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart…

Documents were served to the blogger during the 2011 Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) conference.

Appearing on CNN last July, Sherrod said she would be happy if someone were to shut Breitbart down. Now, she may get the chance to do it herself.

“That would be a great thing,” she said. “I don’t see how that [site] helps us at a time when we … should be looking at how we can make space for all of us in this country so that we could all live and work together.”

“He’s doing more to divide us,” she concluded”

6:00 a.m. Gets on her knees before God and thanks Him for her many blessings, asks for His direction and guidance. Thanks Him.

6:30 a.m. Dresses and gets her family ready for the day, and heads to the Oval Office.

7:00 a.m. Voids all of the squatters executive orders and puts a call into OPEC

7:45 a.m. Recalls all of our military and places them in strategic areas of our northern and southern borders and orders all illegals to be rounded up and deported immediately.

8:00 a.m. Receives a call back from OPEC. Tells them to lower the cost of a barrel of oil to 40 dollars and then puts in a call to China.

9:00 to 12 noon, answers letters and writes agenda for the following week.

12:30 p.m. makes lunch for her children.

We have about a 2″ layer of ice on top of the snow, when you walk by the 4′ fence at the dog park, it’s at your knees…
