Hope all is well as can be expected with you and yours… » Posted By BigDogMom On March 21, 2011 @ 9:01 am e’cat, I too am suffering from an overload of bad news, yesterday stayed away from the news, swore today I was going to just pop in here to read kalima’s latest update and wound up catching up on khirads posts..oh well, at least I’m a well informed depressed person! But, WTS’s video that he just posted just made my day!!!! » Posted By BigDogMom On March 21, 2011 @ 8:59 am WTS, OMG, I’m laughing so hard that I woke the dog up! Love it…liked the part, “Water flows up?” or “Damn this is too fast!” That was hilarious, where did you find that? » Posted By BigDogMom On March 21, 2011 @ 8:55 am jkk, if I married the guy who my mother wanted me to marry…it would have been the hedge fund guy! » Posted By BigDogMom On March 21, 2011 @ 8:45 am e’cat, I would love to see that program, I believe it, they have perfected it! Win uses his eyes and a tilt of the head, his ears just up slightly…gets me every time too. Today is not what we call “a good retriever day”, snowing/raining here in CT, Win did his drop and roll in it and then decided to come in an take a nap, snoring on the couch right now. » Posted By BigDogMom On March 21, 2011 @ 8:44 am Truth, more than likely that is the case…she is such an idiot, a dangerous one at that. » Posted By BigDogMom On March 21, 2011 @ 8:35 am Morning e’cat, no they don’t play fair! Win jumped into a big mud puddle yesterday, then proceeded to roll over in it! He gave me the same look as above when I reprimanded him…I believe he did it because he knew that I would let him go swimming at the beach to clean the mud off! They are sneaky and conniving animals, but love them dearly anyway… » Posted By BigDogMom On March 21, 2011 @ 8:33 am KT, I give the reporter a lot of credit for not bursting out and laughing at them…or smacking them up side their heads. I would have said to them, (my best “Brooklyn” accent), “What the fuck is wrong with you?” » Posted By BigDogMom On March 20, 2011 @ 3:53 pm KT, I think Georgie boy knew very well that he was the puppet and didn’t care, getting the Presidency was about his ego, making money and getting one up on daddy, and his puppet masters played up to that..the thing that scares me, is Sarah is a female version of him. » Posted By BigDogMom On March 20, 2011 @ 3:48 pm NIMBY = Not In My Backyard… » Posted By BigDogMom On March 20, 2011 @ 3:21 pm Please dear Lord tell me that these people are just a small percentage of our entire population….and tell me also, why do men insist on wearing camouflage out in public at a mall? » Posted By BigDogMom On March 20, 2011 @ 3:17 pm This tweet was posted here a while back: If you think teachers are your enemy, you should probably reassess who you think your friends are. #wiunion » Posted By BigDogMom On March 19, 2011 @ 4:56 pm Adonai, did you see the video I posted further down of Taylor Mali on “What Teacher’s Make”? I think it really shows what a teacher does, it is a calling, my mother was one, have 6 cousins who are teachers and now my niece is just finishing up her student teaching…so I too am very, very angry at what’s going on. » Posted By BigDogMom On March 19, 2011 @ 4:42 pm Cher, never heard of those shows, but I just think it’s wonderful that they took it upon themselves to organize, sounds like a great school. » Posted By BigDogMom On March 19, 2011 @ 4:13 pm Cher, that is great, almost 1,500 students and led by the marching band with a big banner, sounds like they were really organized, good for them!!!!! » Posted By BigDogMom On March 19, 2011 @ 4:00 pm Truth-Why? One word…Money » Posted By BigDogMom On March 19, 2011 @ 10:45 am Beautiful pics of the people of Japan and their dogs: http://www.ctv.ca/gallery/html/japan-quake-dogs-pets-victims-110318/index_.html » Posted By BigDogMom On March 19, 2011 @ 9:11 am Hey kes, put it on my FB wall, boom will get it there. I’ve just about had it with these Republicans and Tea Partiers, this last paragraph in the article is right on the mark: This is the world of the heartless and the selfish, the teabagger. They trot through life making pronouncements on others with mighty conviction without ever having walked in the shoes of the poor and likely profiting from the sacrifices yanked from the vanishing ranks of the middle class. There is no humanity, no compassion, no understanding. Just a pair of bootstraps to beat up anyone less fortunate. I just hope that the tide turns and the Dems re-take the majority and un-do some of these idiotic things…God, we need more Progressives and campaign finance reform BAD!!! » Posted By BigDogMom On March 19, 2011 @ 9:04 am Saw this on Dail Kos this morning, Taylor Mali, “What Teachers Make”

» Posted By BigDogMom On March 18, 2011 @ 1:09 pm Buddy, that was great! The other food that the southerners prepare much better than northerners is Potato Salad. Here in the northeast it’s just mayonnaise and potatoes, no taste what so ever. The way my mother made it was much better, dry mustard and a ton of vinegar was added… » Posted By BigDogMom On March 18, 2011 @ 5:02 am He was framed! Where’s the stinken cat, tell me, where’s the stinken cat! » Posted By BigDogMom On March 18, 2011 @ 4:05 am Oh Adonai, I know so many of them from my mother… “I-talion” for Italian You always knew if she disapproved of what you were doing or if you were in trouble, she called you “Missy”… And she always wondered why people looked at her perplexed…thank you for the memories, ah, to hear her mash-up of the english language again…. *Edit* Southern women also have the particular ability, my mother included, to tell someone to go to hell in such a sweet way that they would enjoy their journey there… » Posted By BigDogMom On March 18, 2011 @ 3:58 am Love it! » Posted By BigDogMom On March 18, 2011 @ 2:48 am CL – Yes, there is snoring and then there is SNORING! There were many a night I had those Dark Thoughts, sleep deprivation does weird things to the mind. But I tell ya, when I almost lost my husband last June do to heart trouble, that same snoring reassured me that he was still alive and breathing! Now I don’t know if the closed arteries had anything to do with his snoring, but once he had the 5 stents put in to open everything up, he hasn’t snored a day since. Now I lay awake listening to make sure he is breathing! » Posted By BigDogMom On March 18, 2011 @ 2:47 am THANK GOD!!!!!
