Time Out for O/T – Vol. 15

Oh Chase – I don’t know if everyone remembers Rob, but I loved him!

» Posted By Artist50 On April 19, 2011 @ 11:43 am

An oldie but goodie KT!

» Posted By Artist50 On April 18, 2011 @ 4:42 pm

Little Cookie sure woke up my dog who had to come take a look at my phone!

» Posted By Artist50 On April 18, 2011 @ 4:38 pm

She also went on Medicare when she had lung cancer at the end of her life having paid little into it because of her age -what a hypocrite.

I didn’t know Sarah did anything without making a buck. That certainly hasn’t been her MO. Curious.

Touché

» Posted By Artist50 On April 16, 2011 @ 8:01 pm

I swear one of those guys looked like “The Donald”.

» Posted By Artist50 On April 16, 2011 @ 7:47 pm

How is it different from retreating to alcohol or a joint, which seems to be acceptable?

» Posted By Artist50 On April 15, 2011 @ 9:02 pm

I just don’t understand why people want to watch the negativity.

» Posted By Artist50 On April 14, 2011 @ 6:02 pm

How disgusting – it won’t be long before he has offended everyone!

» Posted By Artist50 On April 14, 2011 @ 6:00 pm

Abby – Good Points. I’m closer to retirement age so I’ll probably get my Medicare and die before the Repubicans can destroy it, but I’m worried about my sons who are closer to your age. They both have good jobs but who is to say that their companies aren’t going to fail in the next 25 years. They have no guaranteed retirements and they both lost money in their retirement accounts at work and their personal 401s in the crash. I know my kids are better off than most. It’s your generation who is going to suffer and somehow we have to figure out how to fix the system to preserve the safety nets. I don’t want my grandchildren growing up in a “Charles Dickens” America.

I with you Cher – I love Weiner! You can take that any way you like!

» Posted By Artist50 On April 14, 2011 @ 2:50 pm

Oh Kes, this guy was like a televangelist, I really didn’t trust his motives. As much talking as he did to these guys, you could still tell there was no real affection on either side -sadly, it was like a pathetic carnival show. I’d like some insight into his motive – would he be a paid employee?

» Posted By Artist50 On April 14, 2011 @ 1:42 am

Would you change parts of your journey if you could?

» Posted By Artist50 On April 13, 2011 @ 8:11 pm

I totally agree – very few people my age (60) don’t have some pre-existing condition and if they think some 80 year old is going to be able to get insurance they are nuts! This is the whole point of Obama’s plan – that the insurance companies have to take you by 2014 with pre-existing conditions thus sharing the risk.

» Posted By Artist50 On April 13, 2011 @ 8:06 pm

I just think our government could save some money on that lawsuit and others like it- wonder how much that cost the taxpayer? Shouldn’t sports have to police themselves with the money they generate?

» Posted By Artist50 On April 13, 2011 @ 7:25 pm

Kalima – Did you you read some of the sickening responses? We all know you can not take AH’s name in vain – those were all censored – I’m sure.

» Posted By Artist50 On April 13, 2011 @ 7:20 pm

Agreed, they can’t cater to the fringe and win the general. Let that be a lesson for us. According to Cenk and many others Obama hasn’t done enough for the Progressives, so Cenk encouraged those unhappy voters to stay home in 2010 and now wants them to send the President a message. I don’t trust this once right wing pundit, and I fear we will end up like the GOP- you have past the “tea-party/right wing litmus test to become the nominee but you are unelectable in the general. I couldn’t get a negative word passed the censors about Cenk on HP – they are in a hate frenzy over Obama.

KT – I agree with you and I think Romney has changed his mind too many times to be credible. If he was the moderate he was 10 years ago he might win in the general but I don’t think he could get the nomination – obviously he didn’t either so he starting flip-flopping on every issue. I don’t see anyone that stands a chance emerging yet and I’m actually surprised someone new hasn’t entered the mix.

BDM- He / she is beautiful (those eyes!) and it sounded like talking to me!

» Posted By Artist50 On April 12, 2011 @ 6:11 pm

Well now you’ve given me a visual I don’t want and I need to get back to work – thanks! His hair is probably a foot long in some places.

» Posted By Artist50 On April 12, 2011 @ 12:01 pm

You let me know!

» Posted By Artist50 On April 12, 2011 @ 11:55 am

That ought to melt a Republican heart – too cute! I don’t know who was more curious!

» Posted By Artist50 On April 12, 2011 @ 11:30 am

BDM – I’ve been around for awhile and even during those dark days of Viet Nam I don’t remember this “us against them” attitude. The public is being played to our own detriment, that’s why I come here. I can’t take the hatefulness at the other sites anymore.

» Posted By Artist50 On April 12, 2011 @ 11:20 am

Look at Bristol Palin – she’s become a role model for the right and I can’t figure out why. The Daily Beast had an article about how much she was making from her campaign on abstinence while most celebrities give their money to the charity Palin takes hers home – she supports herself off her teen-age pregnancy. So, what message is she giving young girls? A very mixed one, for sure!

» Posted By Artist50 On April 12, 2011 @ 11:15 am

They used to have lists of the “subversives” that protested the Viet Nam war back in “the days” and I know I was on that list, of course that was when J Edgar was still around and paranoid but I’d like to see those old files. Most of us were just innocent 18 year old college kids that wanted the war to stop – you would have thought we had the guts and smarts of the Abby Hoffman.

» Posted By Artist50 On April 12, 2011 @ 8:51 am

JkkFL – That’s my problem as well. I wasn’t here last year, so all these articles are new to me and I haven’t had time to get through them. It doesn’t seem fair to vote for one when I haven’t read the competition. I’ve loved having them all available together and even bookmarked them.

» Posted By Artist50 On April 10, 2011 @ 8:31 am

Javaz -Your heart is in the right place, please don’t take offense. Kalima has such a responsibility maintaining and keeping the standards high on this site. She would have done the same to any of us.

Back to your point, it is brave of you to lose a friend over integrity. I think different parts of our country test us – I’ve never heard such language thankfully.

» Posted By Artist50 On April 9, 2011 @ 7:14 pm

Patsy – That’s a perfect description – they just spew forth rote hate with no solutions, empathy or facts. I have had my frustrations with Obama but I have never seen a President with his almost supernatural power of calm – he’s amazing.

» Posted By Artist50 On April 9, 2011 @ 5:37 pm

I couldn’t get on – I’ve been over at the Daily Beast reading the most toxic comments being thrown back and forth by both Dems and Reps with no substance or sources – just pure vitriol. Now I remember why I quit going there. Let me thank you again for this site that leaves me with hope and real information everyday!
