Weekend Music Thread – I’ve Been Everywhere

I LOVE S & G too! – Thanks, Fergie, for the time difference – it is more than I thought! I am in western PA so we are ten hours apart, right now it is 3:37 AM on Saturday. It is going to 88 today, hot and humid with a chance of thunderstorms. We are definitely right in the middle of out typical summer here.

My first album was Leaving on a Jet Plane by The Mamas and the Papas. Sadly, it was lost after I went to college. – It was a birthday gift from my older sister. Take care. 🙂

No need to apologize, Fergie – It can sometimes take a while for me to get back to people. Always so nice to see you here as well with your song selections! – Best of luck with that delayed sleep, some of us just follow a different time pattern. For me, I was always a night owl even in high school. Then years of working night shifts as a critical care nurse did not help! Even though I am retired, I am still awake late at night.

Speaking of time, what is the difference in time between us? Just wondered how many hours it is. – Hope to see you soon with this weekend’s music. 🙂

Hi, Nirek – I used to go to Vermont with my family when I was growing up in western NY, never had the chance to get back there again. – I always loved the majestic beauty of the landscapes, especially in the fall. Enjoyed hearing your granddaughter play the violin, wishing her good luck with all those hours of practice. 🙂

Crazed Self-Promotion Trumps Politics in The GOP Primary

Great article, Adlib – By lowering the bar on qualifications for the GOP candidates there is definitely much more to compare and contrast. And more to expose of the hypocrisy and deception. – It will be interesting to observe all of the little GOP/Koch brother puppets trying to outdo each other to get campaign financing such as:

“I promise to deny climate change four times this week.”
“I already did that last week. This week I promise to deny that there is any danger from the water used in fracking five times.”

I hope that the Democratic candidates do expose these corrupt GOP candidates. – As for Trump, his arrogance is only matched by his ignorance. He didn’t just lower that bar, he broke it into pieces lying flat on the ground. – Good to see you. 🙂

Hi, Kesmarn – I was wondering the same thing about having a legitimate GOP candidate. They all have excessive baggage to carry around on the campaign trail. And so far, none have offered any legitimate explanations for inaccurate and insensitive speeches.

There will probably be a lot more of those “I’m sorry if anyone was offended” and “I misspoke” and “That was not what I meant to say” in the coming months. – Good to see you. 🙂
