Potentially fatal unless you can do some “fact checking”. » Posted By AlphaBitch On November 2, 2012 @ 7:25 am Patsy: I think their brains have all been shrunk by their use of the Preparation H. I do not see any evidence of souls here at all. » Posted By AlphaBitch On November 1, 2012 @ 5:37 pm Frennie, down here I just call that “Bullshit”. -AB » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 31, 2012 @ 5:26 pm OK, except for the line about “no one you see, is smarter than he” (which I would humbly alter to “everyone you see, is smarter than he”), I think this just about sums it up for ole’ Mittens:
» Posted By AlphaBitch On October 31, 2012 @ 3:09 pm Did I miss this?? I just now realized that Bain Capital is a major stockholder in HCA, the large for-profit health care system, founded by the Frist family of TN. No wonder Mittens wants to get rid of Obamacare! JFC. This country is full of idiots. » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 30, 2012 @ 3:44 pm Bito! Whoever it was, had a great command of the English language, obviously. How are you, dear one? I’ll write you a quick email so check it. Hope I still have your address correct. – AB » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 28, 2012 @ 3:43 pm THANK YOU FRENNIE. This goes to everyone I know, in all states. xo AB » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 28, 2012 @ 3:38 pm Bito! Hoping i would catch you- been driving 12 hours today and am pooped, but wanted to tell you that I met Baby Girl’s Baby Sister! She is going to school at St. Georges in Middletown, RI (Newport) and has a 3 year scholarship. She is as adorable as her older sister. There is a documentary film being made about young women from AFG and she will be featured in it. She is a real firebrand. I so wanted to tell you about her. I’ll send a photo someday – wait until we get home. » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 19, 2012 @ 6:36 pm Frennie: mitt is in the blue dress. That’s Ann doing the thumb clutch. » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 16, 2012 @ 5:21 pm Frennie! Yeppers, we saw the Niagara. I had to gulp and get on the elevator to take he plunge. I was Alpha Wimp. today was….interesting. I’m terrified of 1) planes (goes with all mechanical things that move in the air) 2) fires and 3) sharks. so todaywe decided to do laundry. While washing my clothes, I noticed it smelled like something was burning. I looked around to see a dryer with flames shooting around inside. YIKES. If there is a Olympic medal for an old lady quickly piling her clothes from the washer into the laundry bag and hauling butt across the street, I would win a gold. We called the Cambridge FD and they came with 7 trucks, police vehicles, ambulances, etc. They busted out glass in the windows and hacked through walls. We were thanked by nearby residents and business owners, and tonight one of the restaurants gave us a free dessert. I tried in vain to explain I was just a chicken, not a hero. I didn’t give a crap about the clothes on fire, or anyone else’s clothes, just my own and my own sweet ass. Fast forward to early afternoon. We got on the MTBA and took the tunnel over to the Commons. NOT expecting the trip – told it was a trolley which to me is ABOVE the ground – and had a pretty decent catatonic panic attack. Which then totally ruined the afternoon for me, as all I could focus on was “Crap. now I’ve got to do this again to get back”. Not fun, Frennie. No Xanax and I was in too pissy of a mood to drink. (Note to all: I can be a really mean drunk) Finally, Blov suggested we get a cab – which cost $5 more than the torture I had undergone earlier. Problem solved. But Maine was too pretty for words, and tomorrow I meet up with a friend of my Afghan inspiration, Sarah Chayes, for a car tour of the area and a lovely dinner. Nice. Thursday we go to RI and I meet Baby Girl’s Baby Sister (got that?). Then home again, jiggety jog. I’m not sure I can watch tonight. I’m fried on stress. And Blov and I both felt the building sway. Sigh. “There’s no place like home”…… » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 16, 2012 @ 4:39 pm Why Frennie – that’s downright bitchy! And I’m proud of you. Telling no-nad Husted to “man up”. Ha ha ha – laughing here in Boston. » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 16, 2012 @ 1:35 pm Sue: Don;’t give him a choice! (OK -that’s a little harsh even for an AB) I’ve been to every state west of the Mississippi and all those national parks. Now we are exploring the northeast. It is a magnificent country. » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 14, 2012 @ 5:36 pm Nirek: We ate at the NECI bakery on the square – GREAT pastries, if one gets anywhere near there. Stayed w/ Aglaia at the Northfield Inn and felt completely loved and cared for. How hilarious! As for Two Cats – I met the red haired woman who owns it with her husband and mother-in-law, who started it, I guess. Our waiter was Scott, and I promised to send him my recipe for Huevos Motulenos, which features black beans, tortillas, eggs, cheese and green chilis. He is very hopeful I will do so! » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 14, 2012 @ 5:29 pm Nirek: That is too cool! We stayed in Northfield while in VT. Had a great time, and actually met some folks from our home town who were staying at the same place. I wondered about the College of the Atlantic – what type of curriculum do they have? Such a cool place! I would like to be a counselor there. Bar Harbor – Two Cats with the best blueberry pancakes! We sat outside, even in 39 degree wet weather and loved every minute. I was sad that so many of the gift shops had “Made in China” items. Sigh. It’s endemic. We would love to go to QC; a Canadian friend had sent me that beautiful PP of winter there, and I watch it when I am melting in South Texas in the summer. We don’t have time this journey, though. Perhaps the next. Also, not speaking French can be quite a handicap there, we were told. Everyone in Montreal has been quite gracious to us, despite our ineptitude. We are at the L’Hotel right by the Basilica. Gorgeous! What did your daughter study? And what is she doing now? » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 14, 2012 @ 1:32 pm Well hello folks! Greetings from the beautiful land up north – we are in Montreal. I have tried – unsuccessfully – to surrender my passport and ask for asylum, pleading as a “refugee from stupidity” from the valet and all the waiters we have encountered. They laugh, and they think we are clever and would love for us to come here, but have no authority. Didn’t figure it would be “funny” at the crossing. We crossed in Maine at a tiny little spot – very nice young man and we chatted about Texas and Canada. He was in awe that we had driven up. The drive has been absolutely lovely. I have seen so much of this wonderous country and met so many incredible folks. One negative: In NY on the tollway, you are given ZERO ZIP NADA ZILCH choice of which petro to buy when you exit at a “service area”. Mobil it is – no mention of Exxon, it’s big daddy – or Sunoco (Hamid Karzai’s former sugar daddy till he got on the teat of the US government). I was pissed beyond belief at the lack of choice. I would buy only one or two gallons, in hopes of finding something different further down the line. The workers at the areas seemed to regard it as no big deal to not get to choose. Yikes! I know that I have not hurt Exxon/Mobile’s profits, but I sleep better at night refusing to buy BP or Exxon (OR Sunoco, which we do not have in TX). Fell in love with Maine and Bar Harbor. We stayed in the same place the Obamas stayed in 2010, one floor under their room. How cool was that??? Many comments on our bumper sticker about Romney and jobs in China. Seemed to disagree with many Virginians, but who the F cares? Not me! Love the Voices of the Deep. I once saw Patty Loveless stand on a dark stage, dedicating a song to her father/grandfather who were miners. She then sang You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive a cappella. Goose bumping music…….. maybe a rendition is on the You Tubes. Love to my frennies and cohorts, near and far. Home by end of month. OK, off to sightsee before the heavy rains come in about an hour from now. Can’t a girl get some asylum???? xo AB » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 14, 2012 @ 10:57 am Great insight, Kes. Let’s you and me and Kalima start our own version of the show online with “What Should have Happened”. It’s that 30 minute delay between something horrid transpiring and what you realized should have happened, Like beating the not out of a guy who holds down another guy to cut his hair in forcible manner. Hair rape. That’s what that was. » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 2, 2012 @ 7:22 am Kes! That is so horrid. Please tell your Muslim friends that I am so, so saddened by this stupid act. Never forget – I am in the Secret Muslim Society!! On another note: FINALLY looked up your ‘hood, and we will not be anywhere nears it. Hading stright to Niagara from Nashville. So for now, virutal “frenemies forever”. Everything to me has to be Texas termed (my small reptilian egocentric brain only sees Texas distances), so it seems like I would be in San Antonio and you would be in Dallas, and we would try to meet. Cripes, that looks a long way apart. So now you must simply plan some trip to come see me in my home – a dedicated trip without an anchor Blov who doesn’t want to make such a lengthy detour on a hard driving day. We’ll catch up later, and I have your email when I get home. Till then – Frenemies Rule! » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 2, 2012 @ 7:19 am Kes: send me an email. Coming thru on Friday and would love to connect. AB » Posted By AlphaBitch On October 1, 2012 @ 8:17 pm Quick pop in – just listening to news (first time in days) and catching up – thought of this tune – seems appropriate. Back Up and Push – dedicated to Mittens and Lyin’ Ryan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzj47oo8wEk And off I go. Later, gators. » Posted By AlphaBitch On September 20, 2012 @ 12:26 pm Perfecto. If only they would learn to be aware of their surroundings……but that’s asking for a lot – brain cells and all that sciency stuff that you excel at KQ. » Posted By AlphaBitch On August 31, 2012 @ 7:39 am Calista looks GREAT! Is that a new hair helmet or what? » Posted By AlphaBitch On August 31, 2012 @ 7:37 am Keep watching, Frennie = Jon Boy is on and I’m outta here. We’ll catch up soon. Good luck on that hyenabun thing. » Posted By AlphaBitch On August 30, 2012 @ 7:57 pm Or just try this one, dedicated to you and all the Planetarians – Guy singing Old Friends
» Posted By AlphaBitch On August 30, 2012 @ 7:51 pm Not listening, Frennie. Listening to Guy instead. Guy makes me happy. RoboRomney makes me mad. That simple. » Posted By AlphaBitch On August 30, 2012 @ 7:45 pm Frennie! Here is one of my dearest ones – Guy Clark and Immigrant Eyes.
» Posted By AlphaBitch On August 30, 2012 @ 7:43 pm Frennie, there is a lovely song by one of my favorite songwriters, Guy Clark, called “Immigrant Eyes”. I love it and think you will too. I’ll try and find it and link it, but coming up on Jon StewBob time, and after a week of RNC, I need this! So if you can’t find it, I’ll look later. See you in October, coming and/or going, I hope!! » Posted By AlphaBitch On August 30, 2012 @ 7:41 pm Ya know, I mentioned to the Blov over the past several weeks that Sarah P. seemed to have lost her bump-it. Her hair, once shiny and poofy, now seemed dull and straw like. Her new white zombie lipstick had me confusing her with a pitbull – an old confused one. She looked to me like she lost her “sparkle”. And now Fox has “bumped” her. I was sure it was because she was to be the surprise tonight at the RNC – oh wait! Was that her??? My daddy used to say, “Don’t get too stuck on yourself with your looks. Everybody, if they are lucky, gets old. And when you get old, you lose the cute. So work on your brains and not your hair.” » Posted By AlphaBitch On August 30, 2012 @ 7:39 pm Hey Sally – I thought I could stomach it, but it was really, really, really pathetic. Waiting now for DS & Colbert. Can’t wait! » Posted By AlphaBitch On August 30, 2012 @ 7:34 pm Frennie! Loved the hyenabun image! » Posted By AlphaBitch On August 30, 2012 @ 7:33 pm They are the ones with the most votes, KQ. Start at the top of the hill, and work your way down. Easier than starting at the bottom and fighting to the top. » Posted By AlphaBitch On August 30, 2012 @ 7:21 pmComments Posted By AlphaBitch
We will have to chat more when I get home – it’s hard typing on the Netbook and I keep screwing up. -AB
