Let me know if you find any further issues! » Posted By AdLib On December 19, 2015 @ 10:56 pm KT, sounds like a corrupted cookie issue. Try clearing your browser’s cookies then closing and restarting your browser. Please let me know if that does or doesn’t work! » Posted By AdLib On December 19, 2015 @ 4:06 pm Great! Glad to hear it! Hope to see you tomorrow for Vox if possible but have a wonderful evening in any case! » Posted By AdLib On September 10, 2015 @ 6:20 pm monicaangela, as Kalima noted, your Gravatar image that appears here comes from Gravatar.com. So, to change that, you need to change it at Gravatar.com. Sometimes it takes a while for changes to show up here, sometimes they don’t change for some weird reason. What I might suggest if you don’t want any avatar to appear is to create a graphic of a white square and upload that as your avatar/Gravatar (or anything else you would like). Let me know if I can help on this any further. » Posted By AdLib On September 10, 2015 @ 5:54 pm slm, try clearing your browser’s cache, closing then restarting your browser. What exactly happens when you try to click on an article from the Home page? We’ll figure it out! » Posted By AdLib On September 10, 2015 @ 5:43 pm No worries, that’s why we’re here! » Posted By AdLib On August 24, 2015 @ 5:14 pm Hey KT, yes, the URL you pasted in wasn’t a proper one. If you don’t see a short URL with a .jpg, .png, etc. at the end, it’s not a proper image URL (usually, it’s an image that’s stored on a site that doesn’t like open sharing). In such cases, you can do what I did, right click on the image and select Save Image then upload the image to The Planet. I’ve done this, the image now appears in your draft article (I saw some duplicate but empty versions and removed those). Let me know if I can help with anything else. Looking forward to reading your post! » Posted By AdLib On May 8, 2015 @ 9:31 pm Hey KT, sorry about the misunderstanding, there was no post by early morning so I scheduled a thread to post by 9am. It being Thanksgiving and all, and being on the run myself, wanted to make sure it was covered. I’ll schedule yours to post next weekend so it’s all good and appreciated. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! » Posted By AdLib On November 29, 2014 @ 8:20 pm Good point, appreciate this, Funk. Will be retweeting more! » Posted By AdLib On November 25, 2014 @ 10:50 am Nirek, it sounds like Chrome is doing something funky. Have you updated to the latest version of Chrome? We have many users here that use Chrome who haven’t had that issue and since Explorer is working for you, that does seem to put the focus on something corrupted in the Chrome program. If you are fully updated, try re-installing the update and that should hopefully repair whatever files became corrupted. Let me know either way, if this does or doesn’t work. » Posted By AdLib On September 29, 2014 @ 12:10 pm Hey SLM, sorry about that, I’ve been working under the hood on the site to fix a variety of things that the latest software updates messed up. The email notifications have been working as far as I can check up until the last couple of weeks, they should be working properly now. If you’re still not getting them (including this one), most likely your ISP or email program are tagging them as spam and they should be in your spam folder online or on your computer. If you let me know who you use for internet service, I can help you with how to check this out and how to whitelist our email address. » Posted By AdLib On September 19, 2014 @ 4:40 pm KT – it may be that your email program or your ISP is tagging those emails as spam. Check your spam folder in your email program and your web based email to see if the notifications are going there and if so, add our email address, admin at planetpov .com, to your whitelist. Please let me know what you find and if this does or doesn’t solve this issue. » Posted By AdLib On September 15, 2014 @ 6:34 am monicaangela, hoping the pneumonia is the worst of it and that she is starting to recover from that. It’s always best to be thorough so it’s good that they’re checking into other potential causes but potentials are only that. Please do let us know how she is progressing, we’re thinking of both of you. » Posted By AdLib On August 26, 2014 @ 5:12 pm Monica, I’m so sorry to hear this. Sending you and your sister all my best thoughts. Please let us know what you can when you can, hoping for the absolute best. » Posted By AdLib On August 25, 2014 @ 9:02 am Nirek, you probably clicked the “Text” tab in the upper right corner of the composition box. You’ll see two tabs there, Visual and Text. You need to have the Visual tab active to get the suggestions on articles, graphics and farther below, on Tags. Let me know if that solves the issue! » Posted By AdLib On August 22, 2014 @ 2:19 pm Funk, what happens when you’ try to comment on that page? The more specific you can be, the easier for me to figure out and fix. In any case, you should try clearing your browser’s cache then closing and restarting your browser, it could have a corrupt version of that page in it which could cause this issue. » Posted By AdLib On February 18, 2014 @ 10:45 am PPO, also, you should close then restart IE after clearing the cookies. Let me know if that works! » Posted By AdLib On January 21, 2014 @ 6:06 pm Hey PPO, here are instructions on how to clear your cache if you’re on Windows 7 or Vista: 1. Click Start 2. Click Control Panel 3. Click Network and Internet 4. Click Internet Options 5. Click the General tab 6. Click Delete under Browsing history. 7. Click Delete all 8. Click Yes to confirm that you want to delete this information, and then click OK. Please let me know if you’re using a different version of Windows and I’ll post the instructions for that. » Posted By AdLib On January 21, 2014 @ 2:55 pm Hey PPO! Did you mean POV when you said POB? Sounds like a corrupt cookie possibly. Do you know how to clear your cookies in IE? If not, I can help. That should resolve it. Please let me know. » Posted By AdLib On January 20, 2014 @ 6:10 pm Hey Sally, just wanted to respond here as well. The issue with the images is related to a new caching process that WordPress offers. In essence, instead of it taking a long time for Sunday Funnies to load due to drawing data from all the different sites the comics are on, the images are cached then displayed by WordPress. It caches when the page is first displayed but some images may not fully cache. So just refreshing the page will complete that caching. The annoyance is that all the comics don’t always get cached initially but the up side is that the Sunday Funnies page now displays very quickly. So, our aim is to repeatedly refresh the page when it is initially published so all the comics are cached and everyone gets the Funnies swiftly and completely. We’ll implement this regiment next week, hopefully that will resolve the issue and keep Sunday Funnies displaying at top speed! » Posted By AdLib On December 29, 2013 @ 11:00 am Hey Pocketwatch, nice to see you! You need to go to http://gravatar.com and sign in with the email you used there (probably the same one you used on your account here). Then you can upload or use a different avatar from an online graphic. » Posted By AdLib On December 16, 2013 @ 1:04 pm Hey Sally, I will check into all of this but I do have a suggestion for a possible quick fix. If you post using the “Text” tab instead of the “Visual” tab, you can have better results on spacing. I frequently have to use “Text” mode to get spacing right. Let me know if that helps and if you have similar issues this weekend! » Posted By AdLib On November 26, 2013 @ 10:22 pm Hey Murph, please let me know if you received the email notification for this reply. Since you found at least some Planet emails in your spam folder, that does mean your browser and/or provider have mistakenly tagged our email address as spam. Whitelisting should solve this, hope to hear all is back to normal. » Posted By AdLib On September 18, 2013 @ 7:35 am Murph, it sounds like our email address may have mistakenly been tagged as spam in your email program or with your email provider. First check your spam folder on your email program to see if our emails have been going there. If so, you only need to whitelist our email address on your browser. If not, check your email online at your provider’s site and see if our emails are going to your spam folder there. In any case, make sure to whitelist our email address (admin at planetpov.com) in both your browser and on your email provider’s site and you should receive our emails again. I can help with this, just let me know… » Posted By AdLib On September 17, 2013 @ 10:55 pm My pleasure! » Posted By AdLib On July 17, 2013 @ 6:44 pm Hey Assumed, sorry about the trouble, they’ve changed their process for signing up. To set up a Gravatar you have to set up a separate and new WordPress.Com account. So go to this link: https://en.gravatar.com/site/signup , click on the “Create a New One” link and sign up your email as a new account (you could use the same password you used here if you want, might make it easier to remember). When you set up your new account there (which includes adding your selected image), it will automatically show up here and at other sites that use Gravatars. As for the email notifications you receive when people reply to your comments, I’ve modified the content of the emails so you will now find a “View This Comment” link which you can click on to go directly to the reply (there was an issue with this function in previous versions of WordPress but just tested it again and it seems to work fine in this latest version which I’m very happy about). Please let me know if you have any issues with the above, happy to help! » Posted By AdLib On July 17, 2013 @ 3:23 pmComments Posted By AdLib
