I remember you getting bashed on that Fox…in my opinion you brought up something that many don’t like to acknowledge about our own problems.

AND thus they attack the messenger.

I truly can’t imagine how the people must feel right now. THIS has to be an amazing moment for them.

The Rise and Fall(?) of Glenn Beck

It’s almost hard to believe he hasn’t been around in the public eye for as long as Limbaugh has…it seems like he has been around longer.

I personally think Glenn Beck only cares about Glenn Beck and as such he will use whatever is at his disposal to promote himself and to enrich himself. If he causes real trouble with real consequences,…so be it, as long as HE benefits.

I think he is a dangerous person and although he has figured out HOW to enrich himself, even though he had a very troubled past…that doesn’t make him someone to idolize.

There is an old saying….that I believe applies to people like Beck…”it doesn’t matter if you win or lose, it’s how you play the game”…he doesn’t play the game honestly or with the betterment of all players in mind.

Doing Business – The Right Way (Part 2)

I’m glad you deleted yourself PW…you are too good for them. 🙂

» Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 11, 2011 @ 7:31 am

SO true PW.

Education and understanding of business concepts is imperative for people to really understand how business is REALLY affected by public policies.

Platitudes are often used and it confuses people who don’t have the appropriate knowledge.

I applaud you for this series.

Sharing the basic information IS a good thing and actually provides opportunity for people to go out and learn more about the concepts.

Keep up the good work!

The Failed History of Conservatism in America

AND this is why I like you A…you don’t play the “PC”game…

You are right, our history is not as pure as many think it is…and the struggles of the past are not necessarily solved. THERE is still much division among the same lines.

OUR history has an effect on our present and our future (if we allow it to be) THE history is NOT as clean as many like to think it to be.

I’m not in anyway shape or form complaining about the article…in my opinion it brought up many good points…BUT that PICTURE when I refreshed my page…jumped out at me…it’s scary! Warning labels…should be attached to anything REAGAN or BUSH!

Other than that….Many good points made. 🙂

Democracy Is Not Broken

THAT is a good point…the profit motive can be a negative.

» Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 9, 2011 @ 8:04 pm

Funny boomer…but I just posted a similar comment.

“leashes’ could be a way to say manage them.

I think many parents today are afraid to set boundaries for their children. NOT necessarily literally….but at all.

Manage them is a good way to phrase it!

» Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 9, 2011 @ 7:59 pm

LOL!!!

Hell, I had small children once…I love them to death BUT i DID use such control devices!

YOU will get NO argument from me CHILDREN NEED BOUNDARIES…btw they turned out very well adjusted! The younger one (my daughter 19 now…will be 20 in 12 days) Is in her 3rd year of college and the older one (21 and will be 22 next week) is DOING very well on his own…so putting them on a leash when they were little didn’t hurt them one bit!

They are remarkably independent and HELP me NOW! I’m a very fortunate mom.
But seriously I never let them run amok!

BTW…A…you know you are always a favorite of mine. YOU were in my personal top 20!

» Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 9, 2011 @ 7:32 pm

Your bluntness is why I like you so much!

» Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 9, 2011 @ 7:29 pm

THANK you Adonai…I actually mentioned that I wanted YOU specifically to join us…you bring a great perspective.

While, we don’t always agree 100%, you provide so much food for thought, I’ve actually RE-THOUGHT many concepts I had due to your perspective.

In addition, the way you put things sometimes is very ‘to the point’ and ignores the pc manner often prevalent in today’s political debate…I find that refreshing. 🙂

» Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 9, 2011 @ 7:23 pm

I’m SO glad to see you here..actually!!!

YOU bring a great perspective. THANK you for coming!

» Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 9, 2011 @ 7:18 pm

Adonai…when did you get here? Where you always here?

I’m so glad you are here!

I know, I do too…I really do…but sometimes you have to do what is best for yourself personally.

I just felt I could no longer support that site…the suppression of commentary (deletions and moderation)…just GOT to ME…you know?…FOR me, it wasn’t just the merger…that didn’t help of course…but the feeling that opinion was being suppressed made me really angry.

» Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 9, 2011 @ 6:38 pm

Cher, I couldn’t agree more…it’s so HOMEY here…I felt a little silly being so excited and SO ready to welcome others here…but the site really has a nice feel, It’s so..so “homey”…good job to the founders.

IT really feels inviting.

ENIGMA!!! nice to see you here. I missed you too, as well as many others. Sorry I didn’t say good bye properly. 🙂

THANK YOU cher!! You are so helpful!

The State of Education in America

What you posted Cher is very disturbing and I agree with you as to the intent.

WE have to fight with all we got the concept of limiting education…education is WHAT we need more of not less of…and local schooling are the least able to adequately compete in a global marketplace.

National standards, that actually make sense are needed…the ‘no child life behind” was joke…however federal mandates as to curriculum levels shouldn’t be…

AS to the war on the poor, that is with out a doubt on the agenda…but WHY? WHAT creates such avarice for those less fortunate? AGAIN I point to education….those who don’t understand or aren’t privy to the various theories, concepts and ideas are most easily swayed by these most ridiculous ideas…but I must dig further…WHAT is the motivation for such hatred toward those who usually are born into such situations? WHAT is their end game? THAT is what is puzzling me so…World domination and absolute power have never resulted in positive effects in the long run…so WHY are so many determined to make that their goal?

» Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 9, 2011 @ 7:14 pm

I couldn’t agree more..education comes in many forms!

» Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 9, 2011 @ 5:27 pm

AGREED…it is a HUGE problem and affects the ability for people to really think and see the BIG picture.

Thank you Kilgore for mentioning that.
