Female reporters were barred from the locker room after The Masters yesterday. One lady got super pissed about it:

It says accidentally but, come on. Women aren’t allowed to join Augusta, where the Masters is played, and they can’t even really enter the course most times without being supervised by a male member(HA!).

So how can they be mad about the locker room. You’re a woman. You really shouldn’t even be on the course.

It sounds like what he needs is an ass kicking. Honestly, if he were my son, the minute he broke the window I would have knocked his goddamn lights out.

Are you a parent or their buddy? And breaking and entering is a felony. Doesn’t matter if you are related or not. I don’t care for police but if she can’t find someone to whip his ass, what more can she do but squeal to the pigs?

How do you define compassion? Is it not compassionate to do what is necessary to lift this terrible burden from her son? And how can she know SHE is the problem if she has sought no other person’s help? Just because she is not a solution does not necessarily mean she is a problem.

And that is what she has to understand. Also that her acceptance and enabling may be a larger problem than the addiction itself. That an act of fruitless compassion can be more harmful than if you had done nothing at all.

If he is under 18, send him to some sort of reform school. A military school. REAL discipline. If he is over 18, cut him loose. Demand he get help or toss him aside. I know that sounds harsh but either way you’re killing him.

Patsy, I would have guessed that too since you find the most poverty and suffering in the South and most of the lowest education standards. I would still feel safer in Tennessee than New York City

Are you your brother’s keeper? Do you know what that means? When Cain first asked this question to GOD in Genesis, it was while standing over his brother’s dead body. A death he was responsible for. The first murder.

What does this mean? Does it simply mean we are to look out for one another? Do no harm? What does that entail? The prophet Ezekiel said that anyone who does not point out the wrongdoing of a “sinner”, is equally responsible for that sin.

Are you your brother’s ballast? Does anyone have the authority to claim dominion over another person’s sovereign conscience? Do you seek out justice for the wronged or to satisfy your own convictions?

Are you your brother’s keeper?

I’ve seen Republicans on TV the last few days saying we are broke.

Why isn’t this myth removed from our political discourse?

I look at an expanding government, an increasing war front, and billions from both sides to cover any number of pet projects

And I wonder, how, exactly, are we broke?

bito, Planned Parenthood is one issue and I was just using it as a launching point. I do that a lot. It got me to a bigger issue. I know Obama would NEVER agree to something like this. Neither would most Dems adn many Republicans. It’s a distraction.

I’ll support a Democrat here if one shows up worth electing. And I do donate to Progressive candidates and Progressive issues. But we have no candidates here.

And the reason I use a broad brush is because those good Democrats voted for more tax cuts, more war,less regulation, not only failed to pass anything worthwhile with the largest majority in history but failed to get re-elected too.

How can I say this…. I know there are good politicians. I hate the Democratic Party. Just like the Republican Party.

In my opinion they far too often favor political expediency over making a stand and actually getting people involved in these issues.

The Republicans are monsters and they will eat them alive every time. I want the Democrats to fight. I want them to want us to fight. I want to fight. you want to fight. Most people here do. But that’s not enough and it never will be. I AM trying. But the Democratic Party is REALLY getting in the way just as much as Republicans.

e-cat, I can see how that last part may be misleading. I shouldn’t type while I’m high.

First off, apologies if I offended. But,come on, a lot of people just look at the letter in front of the name and that’s all they go by. Like the people who just vote for a name. Again, that was a general statement earlier about “drones”, and wasn’t fair. I apologize.

O.K., I don’t just sit at home and complain. As I have said before I try to do whatever I can to help people. My vote is not the only way to help. It’s, quite frankly, the least effective way to help. The fact I even try at all entitles me to bitch my heart out as far as I’m concerned.

It’s rough being at that unemployment office and seeing all those desperate people. Knowing their future is at the whim of a bi-polar Congress and a majority of the electorate who has no idea what it means to be unemployed.

Here is my impression of the people who don’t really care. They are good, honest, hard working people, Democrat and Republican, who have faithfully voted for their Party for years and seen promise after promise go by the board. And not just a continuation of hardship but an increase in it. All the while, politicians are luring them back to the voting booth with the same old promises, just wrapped a little differently to suit the situation.

And I do intend to vote. For Obama. And I encourage people to vote for Obama. As I encourage them NOT to vote for their Congressperson. I am trying to do something. I want Obama to have a good Congress. And a Democratically controlled Congress DOES NOT equal a good Congress. Just ask Obama.
