I’ve been there. » Posted By ADONAI On April 26, 2011 @ 8:39 pm jkk, I know! Who holds up a kitten?! We’re all cool here!” » Posted By ADONAI On April 26, 2011 @ 7:29 pm foodchain, Where I’m from the women are just as tough as the men when they want to be. I don’t enjoy confrontation really. I always look to avoid fighting. Anyone who says they like to fight has never been in a real fight. It ain’t fun. But every man has a limit. Mine just happens to be “swatted in the face with a sign”. » Posted By ADONAI On April 26, 2011 @ 6:32 pm AdLib, I get that. I know most people prefer cooler heads. I don’t. I know most people prefer involving the authorities. I don’t. I know most people think violence shows a lack of intelligence. I don’t. If you hit me in the face with a sign, no matter who you are, we’re gonna have problems. It may not come to blows, but it probably will. If people wanna think less of me for rolling that guy for his bullshit, I really don’t see how that’s my problem. Probably just the way I was raised though. Also, two guys fighting makes up most of the videos I watch on Youtube 🙂 » Posted By ADONAI On April 26, 2011 @ 6:10 pm If they’re the same person, that would be the most hilarious thing ever. » Posted By ADONAI On April 26, 2011 @ 5:33 pm Come on. Look, I understand the whole “let’s get the Tea Party” thing. I don’t support them either. But are we really gonna make a big deal about this? I probably would have punched that guy in the face too. Then you get the police involved?! Really?!! Hey! Wisconsin College Students! GROW A PAIR!! Loved the slow-mo though. Very Matrix. » Posted By ADONAI On April 26, 2011 @ 5:32 pm HA! You said punta. Seriously though, I brought up some pics of Punta Cana and I need to get myself to Punta Cana. Absolutely beautiful. » Posted By ADONAI On April 26, 2011 @ 5:27 pm I know it was stupid to even be doing it to begin with but I watched 20 solid minutes of FOX News. Not counting commercials. The focus was the economy. First of all, when bad things going in America were discussed, I heard Obama’s name 3 separate times. When talk shifted to the great things happening in America right now, Obama is never mentioned. Anyways, they’re making their case as to why public sector pensions and payouts are crippling state economies. They threw out a bunch of charts and numbers but it always involved PRE-DETERMINED payments to the public sector. Operating under the assumption that something that has already been paid for can be responsible for new debt. Totally ignored, especially here in Kentucky, whom they mentioned on one of their graphs, are the countless tax breaks and corporate incentives that have drained huge amounts from state treasuries. Forgetting that, private or public, taxpayers are still footing the bill. Why are we responsible for private industry? Why are they immune from blame when discussing state budgets? They complain about supporting the poor and jobless but casually skip over the billions in subsidies we pay to giant corporations. » Posted By ADONAI On April 26, 2011 @ 3:16 pm So I’ve got my beard basically at small time biker gang thickness. I’m debating whether or not to keep going on into mountain man thickness or shave back down to gruff prospector. Any suggestions? » Posted By ADONAI On April 26, 2011 @ 2:44 pm Everyone calm down! So what happened?! Better question: Could it happen here? » Posted By ADONAI On April 25, 2011 @ 5:02 pm I’m watching some crazy shit on the Science Channel the other day and they are discussing the origins of the universe. One guy has a theory that we are inside a black hole. It’s all based on the concept of trying to get around the question of where all the stuff that makes up the universe came from. But still, every theory is missing a true beginning in my opinion. Anyways, when a black hole sucks in all that matter and energy it begins to heat up. All this energy is swirling and colliding and eventually it releases an enormous explosion with a huge jet stream of energy being blown out of the black hole. But what about inside it? What about the explosion on that end? Black holes are strange things. You see plenty of shows talk about them in a very casual manner, but think about it. It’s a fucking hole in space. How does that not instantly freak you out? What if that hole leads to another universe? The Big Bang we experienced was our end of a titanic explosion inside a black hole. And every new universe spawns new black holes and the process repeats itself. The super-massive black hole at the center of our galaxy could contain another universe a lot like ours. Or maybe nothing like it at all. Weird. » Posted By ADONAI On April 24, 2011 @ 8:30 pm Well that’s a man right there. His father especially. But eh fell pray to the temptation of power. The pride of influence. The public prayers and even more public condemnations are a but unchristian though. “1Be careful not to do your ‘acts of righteousness’ before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.” Matthew has always been my favorite Gospel. I think the Grahams need to read it again. » Posted By ADONAI On April 24, 2011 @ 3:31 pm same here » Posted By ADONAI On April 24, 2011 @ 3:22 pm Happy Easter fox! Whether it’s a Jewish text, Christian, or Muslim, it is always the same message: You CANNOT know GOD. You CANNOT understand GOD. You CANNOT define GOD. It seems to be a common message, heavily enforced. So I don’t try to. I never try to understand what GOD is telling me, because I don’t know. Everything I have is an opinion. Each religion has a common but different interpretation of the divine will. Who am I to question any of them? But who are they to say they know? Abraham, Jesus, Mohammad, all great prophets. All humble before the might of GOD. When I am vague or seemingly random with my thoughts on religion, it is because I have respect for that one true commandment: You cannot know GOD. And I never try. I never think what he may find in poor taste or beyond my grasp. It is all beyond my grasp. I pour over the ancient texts, I listen to the sermons, and I talk with men of the cloth, but it all still seems so distant. And maybe that is part of the awe I have of it. I only try to figure out our place in this world he saw fit to give us. If my will is my own, I will try to be the person he wanted me to be. If my fate is already written in the stars, I trust his greater judgment. » Posted By ADONAI On April 24, 2011 @ 1:23 pm What a great day of NBA Playoff basketball! A year later 9/11 went down and Islam was all over the place. I remember going to the public library and checking out 4 books on Islam, the prophet Mohammad, and Al Qaeada. My brother joked that the FBI would be knocking on my door in the morning. I was just instantly fascinated with it. Until that point it had all, honestly, seemed like random bullshit but the more I read the more I understood it and came to respect it. It’s such a deep part of who we are. You have to understand it to understand anything about being human. » Posted By ADONAI On April 23, 2011 @ 9:48 pm Khirad, that was hilarious.
