Make the companies pay their taxes. Ain’t gonna help Kentucky. We are buried under subsidies and state debt. Unemployment has ALWAYS been high. Even during the Clinton years. I donate my time and money to local progressive causes. Gay marriage, immigration,universal health care. There are state congressman here,like Kelly Flood, who care. who want change. Remember about a decade ago when that guy who cheated on Halle Berry went on Oprah and said he was a “sex addict”, instead of just saying “I’m a man with a penis”? Well, of course, once Oprah says it, it is law. All of a sudden people were sex addicts. But only famous people. Normal people are still adulterous scum. But now they’ve gone further with people like Strauss. Basically they’re saying he’s in a class of people who can’t control their sexual impulses and it constantly puts them in bad situations and pursuing sexual assault at their own detriment. They keep chasing even if it’s a threat to their freedom or personal safety. Well, that describes just about every rapist and pedophile on the planet. I just couldn’t process the conversation. I kept thinking, “I know people like that. Should I call the police? A doctor?” They just seem to enjoy sex. I guess that’s strange now. A sign of criminal behavior or a mental disease. What the hell is wrong with this country? You can’t understand why a man with immense wealth and power is chasing tail? Chasing tail is THE ONLY REASON most men amass wealth and power. Almost everything men do is an attempt to impress women. Prove me wrong. Look, I’m not trying to defend sexual assault. I’m just saying it doesn’t need a whole new branch of psychology. You don’t have to be mentally ill to be an attempted rapist. Just ask Ben Rothleisberger. All men LOVE sex. We love it. Goddamn do we love it. It’s not a mental disease. It’s an issue of self control. Of will. Some men believe wealth and power will get them off from some of society’s laws. And now, when they get caught, you’re just gonna give them a free pass? “Oh, he has a disease. He’s addicted to sex.” Yeah? So am I! But I don’t sexually assault other women! It’s something else. Maybe it’s arrogance. Maybe it’s a larger than normal libido. Maybe they just don’t care. That’s not “sex addiction”. That’s natural impulses coupled with a heightened sense of one’s own self worth. If that’s a mental disorder then a lot of us are in trouble. I dunno. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe there are men out there who crave sex more than I do. I doubt it. But anything is possible I guess. But once we start calling it a disease, we paint these people as victims. Strauss-Khan is not a victim. He’s just a dirty old man. That’s a natural state.
