I got a 90%, which is also “Philosopher-King”. I too missed the judicial review question.

I picked McCullouh v. Maryland. Should have figured it was Marbury v. Madison. Happy to have learned something.

Khirad, Are you familiar with the Khwarezmian dynasty in Iran. they were ruling during the Middle Ages.

I read some crazy shit about them and their dealings with Genghis Khan. They basically brought their own destruction upon themselves by insulting the Mongols.

Good points, Khirad. Guess it’s just up to the parents to decide what their kids are ready to handle. And considering most people I meet are nice well adjusted folks, I think the parents are probably doing o.k. Still creepy though.

I do give MSNBC big props for more readily admitting it’s a soundboard for liberals. And the fact Wallace didn’t even attempt to refute the “most misinformed viewers watch FOX” claim was hilarious. I mean, there is no refuting it but it was funny to see him acquiesce to it. “Facts have a liberal bias” is a funny slogan but when you are so consistently on the wrong side of the argument,as Republicans are, you start to maybe think it’s the truth.

I’ve always thought Stewart handled the Left the same as the Right. The Right just gives him more ammo. I’m not gonna say Democrats don’t have terrible ideas but they are rarely so incredibly arrogant about it.

KT – Evolution is definitely about survival my friend. And I guess technically it is about the “food chain”. You got me there. But my point is that many adaptations come about when the chain is broken. Many extinctions too.

What I’m saying is, our destruction is not counter to evolution. It IS evolution. Survival of the fittest. If we are not fit enough we will die. That doesn’t just mean our health or physical prowess but our ability to manage and adapt to our environment. What good is being at the “top of the food chain” if millions of your own species starve?

But I’m all for not polluting. I’m all for slowing down climate change. But it is coming. That was my only point. Adapt or die. I think we will adapt. We are quite the resourceful creatures. I just can’t help but think of the new world that will be born from it. Like when the last Ice Age passed and man saw a new world in front of him.

We can’t view climate change as an evil thing or we’ll suffer. It can’t be a political tool or we’ll never prepare. People have to realize that the world existed long before the day they were born. Things happened and they will happen again. And there is NOTHING we can do to STOP it. We are technologically advanced but we are not gods. Call me a Republican or whatever you wanna call me but recognize the truth when you read it. But should we do nothing to prepare for it? No. Of course not. We should try to preserve our habitat but also realize we are a part of nature. This is all nature’s dominion and one day it will reclaim it.

We shouldn’t fight it but work with it. ‘Cause it’s a losing battle. Entire civilizations have been swallowed by the sea. Long before industrial plants were ever built. Of course this is all still a long ways off but it should still be relevant to a species that plans to occupy this planet for a long time to come.

I was never a big Bruce Springsteen fan but many, MANY people I know are. So I heard his music quite often and always thought it was excellent. Just not my thing. But I understand why so many loved them.

Well bito, you got anything that can reverse a natural global process? I hope no one is toiling under the assumption they are going to STOP climate change. Completely deny a natural process that shapes this globe every few hundred thousand years.

Why is everything political? I was talking about evolution and the inevitability of climate change. What does any of that have to do with Republicans and rape? I’d love for us to not speed up climate change. But it is IN. EV. IT. A. BLE. Democrats got an answer for that? I mean, besides more coal plants.

It is evolution. Evolution has very little to do with the “food chain”. It’s mostly about adaptation. Survival of the fittest. Not the strongest. Just the best able to adapt to changing environments.

If your food supply runs out you adapt or die. If your environment changes, you adapt or die. When our ancestors came out of the trees they lost a ready food source they were accustomed to. The environment they were in gave few ready replacements. They had to find new food. They eventually found meat. We survived and evolved to what we are today.

Climate change is a natural process. If we are speeding it up then that’s too bad. But it is coming. Adapt or die. 99% of everything that has ever lived is extinct. We have to stop looking at this as a bad thing. It’s inevitable.

I got a letter from the offices of Senator Al Franken asking for my help get Elizabeth Warren appointed as the full time head of the new Consumer Financial Protect Bureau.

I signed the letter but I wonder, who is Elizabeth Warren? Now, I don’t mean I have no idea who she is, I just mean what does she bring to the table. Her Wikipedia page says she wrote a lot of books that sold well but that’s about it. I have no doubt, given her education, she can run the show but can she handle the political side of it?

So many people seem to hate her for many different reasons(mostly bankers) so exactly how effective would she be with such a large target on her back?

So, over in Saudi Arabia they beheaded someone for murder. There is some debate about the whole process that led to the execution and that’s all good, we should always question authority, but a lot of people, especially here in America, seem to have a problem with the execution method.

This seems to be their version of capital punishment. People can call it barbaric but I don’t see anything civilized about strapping a guy to a chair and electrocuting him to death. It actually seems MORE barbaric than just lopping his or her head off.

56 BILLION dollars. There’s a dude in Mexico worth almost 80 billion.

I think the sad irony(?) of 24 garbage channels is that there is more than enough important things going on in the world to fill a 24 hour cycle, but they choose to add fluff and filler to a point that the real news seems almost trivial.

We could spend all day discussing the real deal behind the debt ceiling but we gotta hear Selena Gomez promote her shitty new pop album. That’s totally interesting.

We could spend weeks talking about the current state of job production but we gotta follow Sarah Plain around on a fucking bus. What’s that you say?! She released e-mails?! STAMPEDE!!!

Oh Anthony. Why must you be human? Couldn’t you have been caught embezzling or taking improper favors? You’d get to keep your job and the media wouldn’t care nearly as much.

Of course he owes a great apology to his wife but if I hear one more person on CNN say he owes an apology to the country, I’ll throw a brick through my TV.

Really? Apologize to a country with a 60% divorce rate based mostly on actual infidelity? Yeah. We totally deserve that.
