jkk, it didn’t sound very scathing to me. I didn’t see any quotes from anyone criticizing AH, just plenty of quotes saying that this somehow shows that AH’s vision has “promise”.

Yeah, I just set up a special folder for the notifications I am still getting from HP (despite having deleted my HP account *and* requesting that they stop spamming me).

It’s called “Trash”.

I’d have to look at the HTML version to see what the problem is, but that might not fix the problem. WordPress formats the HTML window a little oddly, and the text therein, and does not always “accept” changes to the HTML.

Try what Kalima suggested and see what happens.

I wonder if it would be a good idea for a “Good News” item among the permanent links on the left (with Morning Blog, Help Desk, OT and Become a Member)? I know it sounds corny, but a place to post little shots of gratitude or joy might be a good idea….

Please, don’t misunderstand me. I am not complaining. I just shrugged it off, hours ago, because I know our IT staff is volunteer and just one person.

There are reasons there might be glitches, and it has nothing to do with whether the entire IT staff at a particular {{spit}} site decided that now was a good time for a “salad” break.

When one has an all volunteer site, glitches are understandable and bearable. When someone else has a multi-billion dollar business, a glitch that last weeks is a bit suspicious.

I am having the glitch where clicking on a recent comment takes me to the original, older comments. I had to do a double take a few times.

Okay, that worked. right-click on the image and copy the location (or URL) Then put ‘[img]’ and ‘[/img]’ before and after it, respectively.

The URL I got for the img was http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5168/5372652094_c2c632ca7e.jpg

There seems to be a formatting glitch on Haruko’s “A fairy tale city” article.

The pictures overlap the bottom footer of the article, and the voting stars are missing or obscured by the pictures. Also, all of the side bar items got shoved down below the comments section somehow.

Now I admit, there are times that Firefox decides that the CSS is taking too long to respond, so “hey, I’ll just format it however I feel like at the moment”, but usually a refresh fixes it. This time a refresh did not.

No offense, but I am kind of, well, maybe old-fashioned when it comes to site design.

Can you possibly add the Help desk link to the menu? I searched for the link all over, gave up, and a while later noticed the image link on the right side. (I can haz dur moment, plz?)

I was glad to see some deleted posts by DocStrangelove on there, because he strikes me as both passionate and rational.

But there’s something going on there that really bugs me. Can’t put my finger on it.
