Apparently, local media are now noticing what we have been talking about here for some time. For all the talk about President Obama facing “DOOM!!!”, he looks to be the only candidate with a real grassroots base and campaign infrastructure here in Nevada. But today, I don’t want to talk […]

Lately, there’s been plenty of talk on how President Obama can win reelection next year. Pundits wonder about how he can escape the same geographic dilemma that did in Al Gore’s and John Kerry’s respective campaigns. What most don’t seem to understand is that the answer is staring them right […]

We’ve heard plenty about what may have happened when Occupy Las Vegas moved Downtown yesterday. I wanted to share with you what I thought was the most poignant part, which was the part that did not receive all that much media attention. Take a look at the video above… And […]

This morning, the #OccupyOakland encampment is being shut down. Oakland police have arrested about 25 protesters at the sprawling Occupy Oakland encampment outside City Hall while hundreds of law-enforcement officers square off against demonstrators downtown in the second such raid of the tent city. Law-enforcement officers from numerous Bay Area […]

It also helps that The White House has finally been succeeding in honing in on a strong economic message. Obama has had to figure out how to get past the obstructionist Congress to deliver his message directly to the American people. He’s had to deliver his own message while also allowing Americans to realize who his Republican opponents really are.

While the pundits keep debating what really matters in the Republican debates and how Democrats supposedly feel about President Obama, OFA volunteers keep humming along and doing the work that’s needed to reelect Obama.

Romney’s callous disregard for families losing their homes through no fault of their own is bad enough but it’s also untrue that speeding foreclosures is good for the economy.

Apparently, the scene inside The Venetian last night turned into a complete and utter train wreck. Mitt Romney continued to call for MORE foreclosures and more families losing their homes to the big banks. He also fought with Rick Perry over which of them hates Latinos more. Meanwhile, Michele Bachmann […]

Thanks to Occupy Las Vegas, tourists caught a glimpse of “The Real Vegas”: the unemployed, the working poor, the struggling students, the struggling seniors. This is the side of Vegas that LVCVA would rather not advertise.

Republicans can’t even pummel Obama during what’s supposed to be his “WORST. MONTH. EVER!!!” so why do polls say many Americans believe he is certain to lose next year when all relevant data point otherwise?

Once Americans realize why the rich keep getting richer while they seem stuck in Po’-Town-USA, they may very well redirect their anger in a way that Tea Party, Inc. fears the most.

Last week, I was here in Las Vegas to celebrate the end of DADT. Once (and hopefully future) Congresswoman Dina Titus discussed what happened in the last session of Congress to make this happen, and representatives from Harry Reid‘s office and Shelley Berkley’s office were also on hand to share […]

It wasn’t an easy ride to Tonopah on Saturday, especially not since NDOT had construction delays near Goldfield. So many of us from Vegas were already in a crabby mood when the NSDP Central Committee meeting got started. And many of the folks from Reno and the rurals were still […]

This was the scene outside Dean Heller’s Las Vegas office today. While Senator Dean Heller (R-“Tea Party”) continues to oppose anything he considers “not good enough“, meaning not painful enough for working class Nevadans, our country faces deep problems. This isn’t the first time Heller has felt the heat from […]

And while the Republicans keep playing in “Tea Party Fantasyland”, a record 46.2 million Americans were hit by poverty last year. If there is ever a time to shift into overdrive to focus on job creation and put money in people’s pockets again, it’s now.
