This Monday is Memorial Day so we want to dedicate this weekend’s music thread to our country’s fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect this country, it’s people and our democracy.
Secondarily, we want to recognize those Americans who march in the streets and do their part to try and prevent unnecessary wars and the tragic losses of that small percentage of Americans who are willing to risk their lives so the majority of Americans are safer.
The theme for this weekend is songs about heroes, good people, songs of thanks and protest songs against wars and other threats to the safety of people.
Starting it off with a double of Foo Fighters:
Now it’s your turn to share songs of thanks to those who sacrificed for their nation and those who protest to keep the soldiers of today from unnecessary harm.
I’m a little late with this one since I just joined. Great tune by a great group of ladies. “Dixie Chicks”
Hey Retired669. Good to see a familiar face here. Btw, we seem to look alike.
Test. Seems fine now.
Hey Kalima, PPO was right, there was a problem posting on this thread due to an issue with the graphic but it looks all fixed now.
Yep, when I tried some time ago, I got a “Not Secure” message.
I did too, something weird happened when the post was originally published and the graphic was making the post appear not secure. Now the padlock properly appears beside the URL in my browsers (I checked it on multiple browsers) so the page is secure and the issue is fixed.
Not like I don’t have time to spend fixing technical issues on this site while prepping the new one for launch on Monday…I’ll sleep in June.
Lol, exactly. As if there wasn’t enough for you to do. I hope to sleep in June too when I can stop worrying about you not getting enough sleep. Gokorosama!
Working fine now! One more Day! Thanks, Ad.
