Vox Populi, our weekly live chat about the week’s events begins tonight at 7:00 pm PDT. At Vox, everyone is elected Speaker, just the opposite of the Republican House. Hope to see you (but probably not Kevin McCarthy) here!

PPO – Can I have Boehner’s Giant Compensating-For-Something gavel?
AdLib7 days ago
Actually Pink I think you can be speaker
sillylittleme

Ad – LOL
sillylittleme
Nah, those drongoes wouldnt understand a dickie bird I’d mouth……er, hang on!
pinkpantheroz
So who thinks Paul Ryan will say yes?
AdLib7 days ago
PPO–And, just what would you use that Giant Compensating-for-Something gavel for?
PPO – Kevin McCathy is jealous of how you put a word.
AdLib7 days ago
glenn, I’d use it to pound some sort of sense into the craven knaves that do GOP impressions
pinkpantheroz
Ad–now that mittromney has “endorsed” ryan to be speaker, it’s a done deal, dontcha think?
glenn
Too bad McCarthy is out, I would have loved writing a whole article using the band of speaking he aren’t harming.
AdLib7 days ago
glenn, aint that the Kiss of Death?
pinkpantheroz
Ryan will relunctantly accept. Do worse than Boehner, if that’s possible.
sillylittleme
Thanks for the song B
sillylittleme
PPO–I truly would love to see that pounding!
glenn
glenn – I think PPO is right, that’s like a fire chief being endorsed by an arsonist, the Baggers will double down against Ryan now.
AdLib7 days ago
PPO–Exactly–the kiss of death!
glenn
Adlib, what was that about? he couldn’t put a sentence together!
Beatlex

glenn
I hear Daniel Webster is the devil
sillylittleme
Beatlex – Well, he could put a sentence together, it just wouldn’t make any sense or have the right grammar or verbs.
AdLib7 days ago
Right, adlib, he speaks the right words, but not in any right order
pinkpantheroz

slm – Someone had to make that joke! Well done!

PPO – The Comedy Gods taketh away with McCarthy not becoming Speaker.
AdLib7 days ago
I was just reading about his affair and email threats and someone from homeland security updating his wiki page with affair info!
escribacat
Glenn – there is no hope, they should all have a duel. the winner, after all others are eliminated, becomes speaker
sillylittleme
What do folks here think is going to happen with the Repubs finding or not finding a Speaker?
AdLib7 days ago
Ad–the Comedy Gods would have had to hire a whole new cast of writers to translate McCarthy’s “speakings”.
glenn
I bet Ryan becomes speaker
escribacat
Nancy will have the gavel for a year
sillylittleme
ad, for sure, and all because of he mouthed off what Dems have known for a while, and, er some sex scandal or other. SNL would have had a field day
pinkpantheroz
escrib – There’s a lot of pressure on Ryan but if he becomes Speaker, he will destroy his dream of running for higher office. He might sacrifice himself but he might not.
AdLib7 days ago
SLM–would the duel be with knives or guns?
glenn
I read that, but I don’t get how that destroys his hopes for higher office….? I don’t get it.
escribacat
PPO – The gems would never have stopped coming from McCarthy.
AdLib7 days ago
There are 24 reublican senate seats up for grabs in 2016,and onl 12 dem seats.I like those odds!
Beatlex
Glenn – whichever they choose, I’m all for choice
sillylittleme
escrib – Ryan wants to run for President, maybe Governor first. If he is destroyed as he will be if he becomes Speaker, those dreams are over.
AdLib7 days ago
B – we have a very good chance to take it all, if we can get voters to the polls
sillylittleme
Ad, in recognition of McCarthy’s contribution to the Nation, I understand that President Trump will make him a Supreme Court Judge
pinkpantheroz
SLM,as usual!
Beatlex
So they assume the next speaker is automatically committing hara kiri
escribacat
Ad – Ryan’s been over for a while
sillylittleme
B – I think we can do it. loads of young determined to vote
sillylittleme
Ad–I think that Brat, the professor who unseated Cantor, should be speaker of the House. After all, his name is so fitting….And, speaking for the repub/tp we now have Speaker Brat! You know the biggest Brat in the bunch!
glenn
Esc – no one can control the tantrum thowers
sillylittleme
I thought it was pronounced Prat!
pinkpantheroz
Glenn – Brat is supremely stupid and vain about it
sillylittleme
escrib – Whoever becomes Speaker will have their head in the noose of the Tea Party and if the Speaker doesn’t shutdown government and refuse to raise the debt ceiling, in the quest of shutting down Obamacare and Planned Parenthood, they will pull the rope and force him out of the Speaker chair as they did Boehner. That will taint Ryan as a loser and failure with the core Repubs against him, he could never run for President after that.
AdLib7 days ago
brb
pinkpantheroz
SLM–and that makes him different from the other brats, how?
glenn
Does anyone remember Ryan’s position last time they shut down the govt?
escribacat
Glenn – no answer
sillylittleme
Esc – curled up in a ball in his office that seconds as his bedroom?
sillylittleme
SLM–seems like most of ’em are doing that now!
escribacat
SLM-ME TOO!
Beatlex
PPO – Maybe Trump could also make him our nation’s poet laureate?
AdLib7 days ago
slm –
AdLib7 days ago
B – I’m getting ready for my winter hibernation…
sillylittleme
Ad–you know, if repubs were smart, they DO have the numbers. If I have it right, repubs have 247 seats in the house, and the flame throwers are about 30-40 members. So if the 207 other members of the House could convince only 11 Dems to vote with them; they could put the brats in their places. Of course, that’s assuming the Dems want to help repubs. But it’s not only helping repubs; it’s helping the country.
glenn
glenn–they should be working on that as we speak
escribacat
Glenn – helping the country is not what they were elected for, they were elected to make President Obama a one term president
sillylittleme
My bet, which could very well be wrong, is that Ryan doesn’t agree to be Speaker and Boehner continues for some time to come. Maybe after a while of failure and chaos they settle for someone to take the job? But he’ll be a patsy for the Tea Party.
AdLib7 days ago
Boobs, the whole lot of the R’s! All the better for us progressives!
Beatlex
I almost feel sorry for Boehner
escribacat
I think Boehner has lost control of himself though. He really wasn’t able to stop crying when he resigned.
escribacat
SLM–oops–silly little me! I forgot they got elected to government to destroy the government. My point is, however, that repubs don’t have to work with these assholes. They truly could show they could govern, while at the same time showing how the tp faction of their so-called party can NOT govern.
glenn
Glenn – they have no plan to govern, they should all be taken out to the woodshed.
sillylittleme
SLM–I totally agree. And, what I’m saying is that the rest of the repub party could take them out to the woodshed, if they were truly there for the good of the country.
glenn
+
sillylittleme
glenn – The thing is, saying “if Repubs were smart” is like saying “if my mother was a magic carpet”. You’re right of course, the Repubs only have an interest in political power, not helping the country so they wouldn’t work with Dems. Also, they would be too afraid of being primaried by those Tea Partiers (and their supportes like The Kochs) if they did such a thing.
AdLib7 days ago
Excuse me the kitten is learning to type…
sillylittleme
Glenn – they aren’t, they want to burn it all down
sillylittleme
Ad – LOLOLOLOLOL
sillylittleme
Ad–You’re correct. However, I believe that the repubs have not put themselves in a position of either being primaried or being voted out of office permanently. If I were a Dem running against ANY repub, that is the issue I would pound over and over again. Why would you elect someone to office who is going to kowtow to 30-40 members of the House, rather than to the majority of your constituents? Why would you elect someone who would rather work with people determined to destroy government, rather than work at governing?
glenn
Correction: the repubs have NOW put themselves in the position….
glenn
glenn–I agree. Most Americans are moderate. They are frightened by extremists on either end. I would pound that point too. They are more afraid of extremists than they are of “illegals.”
escribacat
Hasn’t this completely exposed the GOP? After 7 years of just trying to stop Obama from accomplishing everything Obama has wanted to do or reverse any progress he made, they have power only to fight over who is pure enough to hold it. They have no vision or concern for America or its governing.
AdLib7 days ago
Glenn – there are citizens who don’t realize or recognize that we are our government. reagan started that rumor
sillylittleme
slm – Please tell your kitty ++ for me!
AdLib7 days ago
So is Ryan supposed to be Moses and lead them to the promised land? Didn’t they have to wander the dessert for 40 years first? LOL
Beatlex
Ad – thanks she just wants to be part of everything I do
sillylittleme
glenn, it’s ALL Obama’s fault. If he hadn’t been elected, then the GOP wouldn’t have gone on their destructive path to make him a one-termer by goading the TP into existence, rekindling racial hatred and being the most obstructive mob in history.
pinkpantheroz
Fanned and faved OZ!
Beatlex
Ad–You and I see that this mess has completely exposed the GOP. I’m afraid it hasn’t “trickled down” to the extremists, though. After all, there are still people lining up, with guns, no less, to protest the POTUS giving comfort to the familes of a a mass shooting.
glenn
glenn – Those are great points and make the case for why Dems should FINALLY run on a national platform. They should all run against the madness of Republicans being in power and even if a Repub is popular locally, make the case against them that electing them will keep Repubs in power.
AdLib7 days ago
Jesus, another 2 campus shootings!
pinkpantheroz
Today I watched the Budget markup committee. The Ds pointed out that the Rs weren’t going to be able to cut Planned Parenthood, vote yet again to repeal Obamacare, cut Medicaid. The Rs rejected that idea. And you guessed it, nothing got done.

Glenn – hate can make you crazy
sillylittleme
Beatlex – In keeping with the Biblical theme, no, Ryan is the fatted calf.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad – that would be the PSX90 calves not canteloupe calves
sillylittleme
SLM–you’re right. I absolutely abhor (not just hate) those extremists and they DO make me crazy!
glenn
Glenn – I feel ya my sister
sillylittleme
SLM– This is in reply to your canteloupe calves comment! Absolutely brilliant!
glenn

pinkpantheroz

PPO–So is your legislature investigating?
glenn

Pink – the walls are coming down worldwide
sillylittleme

BRB
glenn
glenn – Unfortunately, this is the way it has to be. Just as happened in the 60’s with Goldwater, the self-righteous RW extremists are by nature blind to how far out of the mainstream they are. They live in a bubble, surrounded by extremists like themselves and think most Americans think like them. So, when they finally move from being the exploited saps of the GOP to the angry core calling the shots, they finally get to hold power and display how horrible they are to the entire nation. I think it is a strong possibility that Repubs get beaten hugely in 2016.
AdLib7 days ago
One thing Turnbull has done is to Ask The Muslim Community To ‘Own The Problem’ of Violent Extremism. the Immam od Australia has told the extremists that if they don’t like Australia, they should leave.
pinkpantheroz
PPO – Sorry, this isn’t the time to talk about gun control though. We have to wait until all the shootings stop then give it another year just to be sure, then another year to be doubly sure then try to remember what we were waiting for.
AdLib7 days ago
Hi—so what are we chatting about…..escribacat, is that you!!!!!
MurphTheSurf3
slm – I heard that Ryan’s father and another relative died younger of heart disease, guess that’s why fitness is so important to Ryan…and another reason not to take the Speaker chair.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad – previous comment, make it so. above comment – sad but true
sillylittleme
Hey Murph!
AdLib7 days ago
Hey Murph
sillylittleme
Ad – probably true, he can get the best care either way
sillylittleme
PPO – It’s funny, all of the public’s emails are not private thanks to the Patriot Act while all these government officials who work for us keep their emails private on their own servers. Something is upsde-down and it’s not a pineapple cake.
AdLib7 days ago
Australia’s most senior Muslim leader, the Grand Mufti Dr Ibrahim Abu Mohammed, rejects any assertion that extremist ideology is taught in Australian mosques. “The misguided teaching is imported to us. It is not made by us. It is Sheikh Google, Sheikh Twitter, Sheikh Facebook and not made here in Australia. In addition to that, the developments in the international arena contribute also,” he said. not bad actually
pinkpantheroz

Ad – mmm, pineapple upside down cake

Pink – it’s taught in the wahabbi madrassas exported by Saudi Arabia
sillylittleme

How about that Ben Carson upstaging Trump with one horrible and offensive comment after another? Do Repubs really think that such disgusting people as Trump and Carson actually can win a GE? The answer, thankfully, is yes!
AdLib7 days ago
brb
pinkpantheroz
Ad–from your keyboard to the electorate’s ballots! I would LOVE to see the repubs, especially those nasty tp’s get beaten hugely in 2016. If they do, that would take the threat of being primaried away, also.
glenn
Ad – Trump is an art school project, Carson is sedated

Glenn, fine…and you…
MurphTheSurf3
And did you see the obvious scam Latino woman Trump pulled up on stage to scream how much she loved Trump? Trump’s propaganda is so damn obvious, it’s funny. Especially because he and his supporters think it can work!
AdLib7 days ago
Murph–doing well, thanks.
glenn
Very clever, PPO!
AdLib7 days ago
glenn, glad to hear it….
MurphTheSurf3
Ad–Can I have some pineapple upside down cake, please?
glenn
Ad–do you really and truly think Trump will get the repub nomination?
glenn
Glenn – who else is there?
sillylittleme
glenn – What gets me is that the Repubs think that since they won so many seats in 2014 after causing a shutdown, that the voters approve of their behavior. Even the MSM rarely points out that it was an off year election with a record low 37% turnout reflecting many Dems not turning out. This overconfidence floods into next year, a Presidential election year when Dems will turn out big time. I really do think the GOP will be spanked hard next year.
AdLib7 days ago
SLM–you mean besides Carson? Or what about Fiorina? A black or a woman to show just how “diverse” and “equal” the repub party is!
glenn
Glenn – it is so insulting, diversity my pineapple upside down cake eating ass
sillylittleme
The GOP has developed a series of policies aimed at repressing and suppressing the voter turnout among those who will vote against them and to fire up their own base…thus 37 percent is a goal.
MurphTheSurf3
Ad–not to mention that Dems actually received more votes than repubs. I truly would like to see repubs lose in a landslide. As you said before, we may have to go back to the goldwater days. After all, that’s what repubs want–to go back to the past.
glenn
Ad – ooh spanking…
sillylittleme
SLM–you are on a roll tonight, girl!
glenn
slm – Trump is a bread mold experiment gone wrong and Carson is a long echo of the passing of gas.
AdLib7 days ago
Glenn, dems got more votes but the GOP district maps were written to diminish the impact of a high voter for the “enemy.”
MurphTheSurf3
Glenn – a pineapple upside down cake roll
sillylittleme
Ad – I have to go pee. brb that was too funny!!!
sillylittleme
SLM–so if you roll a pineapple upside down cake, does it become right side up?
glenn
Here ya go, slm:
AdLib7 days ago
Ad–LOL! and YUM!
glenn
Adlib–yum. That’s not low carb is it?
escribacat
Murph–That’s why it’s so important for Dems to GOTV in 2016! A low turnout always favors the extremists.
glenn
GLENN, THAT’S THE WHOLE ENCHILADA RIGHT THERE. gotv AND WE CAN’T LOSE
pinkpantheroz
Ad–re your comment on Carson passing gas. I think the trouble is that he has inhaled too much gas and hasn’t passed it yet!
glenn
oops! capslock!
pinkpantheroz
glenn – I think it is a real possibility that Trump wins the GOP nom but I expect the establishment Repubs to pull out all the stops to destroy him once the primaries start and try to foist Bush, Kasich and/or Rubio on an unhappy and angry Repub base. You want to see revolt in action, let’s hope for that scenario! The Repubs will blow up!
AdLib7 days ago
PPO–Agreed!
glenn
Ok so there is this yimmy coffee chain that has pinapple upside down muffins, I am definitely getting one tomorrow, with coconut
sillylittleme
PPO–And I like enchiladas too. Although I prefer chimichangas!
glenn
Glenn….I, of course agree……and that is made even more essential given GOP strategy and tactics.
MurphTheSurf3
Glenn – firmly in the burrito camp
sillylittleme
escrib – It’s totally no carb, try a bite!
AdLib7 days ago
glenn, what’s a chimiwhatchamacallit?
pinkpantheroz
Murph–whoever gets the Dem nomination has to keep pounding the fact that repubs can’t govern! Even if trump is the nominee, what the hell does he know about governing? Running a business and firing people is a whole lot different than running a government/country. But the stupids just can’t see that!
glenn
Glenn – an unsuccessful businessman at that
sillylittleme
I saw Christie claiming that what’s going on with the Speaker crisis is unimportant and meaningless, no one cares. Hey Christie, you sure you’re not confusing that with your candidacy?
AdLib7 days ago
Glenn….Trump at al are actually celebrating their lack of experience….
MurphTheSurf3
I can’t imagine the GOP establishment allowing trump to get the nomination. They’ll find some dirt on him if he doesn’t sabotage himself.
escribacat
PPO–you’ve never had a chimichanga? Flour tortilla stuffed with chicken or beef, rolled and fried, then served with cheese sauce on top. With refried beans, of course!
glenn
Ad – he’s still running? I figured he’d have been indicted by now
sillylittleme
Glenn and adlib — stop it with the yummy stuff. I’m trying to reduce!
escribacat
Ad…I saw the same interview….Christie….surely he knows that the Speaker is the key to legislative movement AND third in the line of succession…surely…I know, don’t call him Shirley.
MurphTheSurf3
SLM–Exactly. A man who has declared bankruptcy how many times? Is it 3 or 4? And, that’s who you want to run a multi-million government?
glenn
Saw a program last night where so many of the trump resorts had nothing to do with Trump, except he licensed his name out for .5Mill. Never built half of the ‘Trump’ buildings. so will he licence the Trump name to someone else to be elected?
pinkpantheroz
So consider this scenario, a Repub Congress led by inexperienced ideologues making the US economy crash due to shutting down government and not raising the debt limit, then inexperienced ideologues trying to win over the majority of voters to become President?
AdLib7 days ago
Glenn…I have done a good bit of reading on Trumps bankrupticies….every time he comes out richer.
MurphTheSurf3
PPO I saw that one too. A big scandal down in Baja where investors bought into the “Trump” name but he had merely “sold” it to the company, which then went belly up and everyone lost their $$$.
escribacat
Ad, nthat’s just dumb enough to work, God Help us!
pinkpantheroz
Escribacat–sorry!
glenn
Pink – he probably thinks he can sell the presidency to the highest bidder
sillylittleme
escrib – But really, what can the estab GOP do if the majority of their base wants an outsider? If they rig the primaries and caucuses, their base will revolt and not vote in the GE. Trump supporters are not going to vote for Bush, they’ll do their shutdown thing on the GOP itself rather than go along with a rigged, establishment nominee. There is no way out for them.
AdLib7 days ago
Sidenote…I was at a lunch with a number of political activists…..they know the GOP in this state very well…..the party has turned to heretic hunting to purify the ranks and seem to think that this will strengthen them.
MurphTheSurf3
Murph–So trump comes out richer and how many people lose their livelihoods to make that asshole richer? I think trump’s popularity just shows how little our electorate is informed. Or maybe it’s how little they care, as long as it’s not a Democrat. I just don’t get it!
glenn

glenn – To anyone who has lived in the real world, Trump is a slimy, lying, greed-driven egotist. To rural Repubs, Trump “is genuine”. Neither side will ever convince the other of their perception.

Murph–ya think? The right can’t even get the history of Reagan correct! I think you just made the understatement of the year! “the right has very little in the way of historical breadth”. It’s the way they win elections for pity’s sakes! Slaves are now called “workers” in textbooks, or the slave trade is called “forced migration”. Aaargh!

Kes — from the site that shall go unnamed: WASHINGTON — In his new book, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) recounts shaking his head in frustration last fall as fellow Republicans sought to use a government shutdown as leverage to gut Obamacare. “It was a suicide mission,” Ryan writes in The Way Forward, his memoir released Tuesday. “This can’t be the full measure of our party and our movement. If it is, we’re dead and the country is lost.”

I don’t think the Tea Party will ever leave the GOP because starting up a third party is too difficult…though, with the Koch Bros. backing, maybe not as much.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad, maybe the moderate GOPers could rebrand their party to the Conservative Party, like the UK

Hillary has gotta be loving life right now, McCarthy blew up the Benghazi committee and focus on her email server, the Repubs in the House are eating up all the media attention and she’s changing her position on the TPP (which she helped negotiate) so she has protected her left from attacks in the debate while leaving Biden as the only potential Dem condidate supporting the TPP. A great week for Hillary, like her or not.

Murph – Marco Rubio has been bending over backwards to kiss the Koch’s bottoms to get them to finance him. Don’t know if it’s working but he is a Tea Partier.
AdLib7 days ago
Adlib! That is good,he can go on making blunders!
Beatlex
Thanks Murph. Not a big Hillary fan myself but it’s clearly a great week for her.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad….Rubio, yes…TP, no…I saw the money drain out of the TP organization resulting in cancelled meetings, conventions, trips etc. The change of name toFreedom Caucus is a natural as a result.
MurphTheSurf3
PPO – We’ll see what happens in the debate, Hillary is coasting right now but just standing up on the stage with her as a peer, Bernie could really do well for himself this upcoming week.
AdLib7 days ago
Hillary should send McCarthy a case of champagne.
KillgoreTrout

MurphTheSurf3

Murph – Rubio is a Tea Party guy though.
AdLib7 days ago
Rubio is too young and inexperienced.
KillgoreTrout
Anyone have any thoughts on whether or not Biden is going to take the plunge?
kesmarn
Ad…Rubio used the TP boost and still associates with those who call themselves TP but as a body with political power…nope. Think of Fox…when did they last lift up the TP banner?
MurphTheSurf3
The “Freedom Caucus” They have a way of naming these blocs the opposite of what they intend!
Beatlex
Murph – Not only that, I could imagine Hillary gaining a bit now that McCarthy admitted she was the intended victim of their “hearings”. Sympathy definitely shifted a bit towards her.
AdLib7 days ago
Hey Homie! I think Biden might just sit this one out.
KillgoreTrout
Kes…I think Biden has been skillfully manuvered into a box re. TTP and that is only the first of the HRC manuvers. I think he stays out.
MurphTheSurf3
I think Biden will jump in if Hillary crashes.
escribacat
That’s my feeling too, Homie. I think if he were highly motivated to jump in he would have done it by now.
kesmarn
Ad….yes, there could be some gains but she is going to have to bell the Bernie Cat.
MurphTheSurf3
He needs to decide soon escribat, debate is next week
Beatlex
Good point Homie.
KillgoreTrout
Kes – I think it’s tough to say but my guess is that McCarthy blowing up the Benghazi committee and the ongoing drag on Hillary might be the turning point for Biden to say he won’t run. Up until that, she was bleeding support. I think that changed things.
AdLib7 days ago
B–I read Biden planned to skip this debate either way.
escribacat
I think so too, AdLib. McCarthy gave Hillary a gift with that one.
kesmarn
Oh,I did not no E!
Beatlex
B–but I also read that he is supposed to decide this weekend. So who knows? But I do think if Hillary really crashes, they’ll find an alternative other than Bernie.
escribacat
Murph – Good point, Fox certainly celebrated Trump at first but once he became a threat to the establishment Repubs like Jeb! and Scott!, they turned on him. Fox loves the TP when they’re attacking our government and Dems but not so much when they threaten the status quo in the GOP.
AdLib7 days ago
Well, kids. Almost midnight here in corn country so I think I’ll be signing off for now. Looking forward to the debate! Have a great weekend!

AdLib7 days ago
Ad…the GOP here have sent out the word…anyone using TP as a handle will get no support from the party.
MurphTheSurf3
I didn’t realize the “TP” had fallen out of favor. I thought they were enjoying a resurrection with the “ousting” of Boehner.
escribacat
escrib – I think Biden had a window to jump in as long as the Repubs got to continue attacking Hillary’s email server through their Benghazi committee. Now that it’s been neutralized, I don’t see the window as open for Biden and if Hillary got into trouble later on, I think it will be too late for Biden to set up a 50 state candidacy.

MurphTheSurf3
Nite to KT….if you do Lennon tomorrow I will contribute.
MurphTheSurf3
Murph – I think the probable result of the Dem debate is a bump for Bernie. His name recognition is much lower than Hillary’s 100% which accounts for her big national lead IMO. The more national exposure Bernie gets, the better I think his numbers will get. And Hillary is not always great at debates, she can stumble, Bernie can’t really, he’s so on message.
AdLib7 days ago
‘Night, KT

AdLib7 days ago

pinkpantheroz
Murph – Yes, that’s what I was referring to about Biden. The challenge of setting up a national campaign is daunting in any case but if he waits any longer, it’s going to be almost impossible.
AdLib7 days ago
PPO – Great, the debate is going to be live streamed so you can watch and comment with us!
AdLib7 days ago
Ad–how strange that it’s already too late when the election is still more than a year away
escribacat
Ad – the TP label is now a death wish if Party support is needed….Freedom Caucus refers to just the conference subgroup. What has happened, I think is a desire among the deeply conservative within the party to take control of it…with the civil war in the House the most recent front.
MurphTheSurf3
So long PPO
MurphTheSurf3
escrib – I do think it will be a very interesting debate. Bernie will have to assert himself and I’ll bet the moderaters will really go after Hillary for her email server, changing her stands on TPP and KeystoneXL, her positions on war, etc. She could really get hammered while Bernie can only have namecalling about him being a “socialist”.
AdLib7 days ago
They could go after Bernie for that BlackLivesMatter episode.
escribacat
escrib – Yep, it is a little surreal but considering that primaries start shortly after the beginning of the year, we are speeding towards the real race.
AdLib7 days ago
escrib – How’s that? You mean for letting the BLM people take over the mike?
AdLib7 days ago
Ad, yes. The thing in Seattle.
escribacat
escrib – I don’t see what CNN folks could go after him for that, I only saw the RW go after him for not shoving the BLM people away. After that, he worked with them and addressed their issues in his platform.
AdLib7 days ago
Well….time to wander off into the night……see you on Tuesday.
MurphTheSurf3
