So, on the HOME front, I have spent many sleepless nights with hubs who, as one does in male aging, is having prostate problems. Had to be catheterized which was unpleasant but worked, but ever since then the damned bag leaks. We now have all those “old people” things – pull ups (that don’t actually matter), tape, pads, plastic under the sheets, and more laundry than I’ve done in years. He is wretched not from pain but embarassment. Thursday they try removing it to see if he can go on his own. If so, we’re done. If not – this is our life. We have linen fresheners, too – we suddenly smell like OLD PEOPLE. And that, of course, is utterly unacceptable.

Muph -that made me laugh because one of the impacts is a 30 pound weigh gain (ugh) that means I COULD SING the parts of the Valkyries in opera. If I could sing… I’m embarking on pretty vigorous exercise so I LOOK better even if I can’t lose it. Maddening.
