So…my daughter’s team lost their critical game this morning and have to play a second game. The next loss they have ends their season and for seniors like my daughter, their long softball careers (since my daughter was 4 years old). The game will run through the beginning of Vox and I may or may not make it tonight but this may be the last time. So send all your best thoughts to them tonight and tomorrow! CL I’m in Shrewsbury which some consider and a ten minute drive in downtown Worcester, but I don’t spend any time their unless I have business the wife and I have everything we need here in Shrewsbury. But there is always something going on in the city. Some things very good, some not so good. It’s how cities work.

After a YEAR of warning him, he absolutely will not walk 20 feet to the garbage cans to dispose of his food debris, and we have vermin. TW – I know Shrewsbury well enough to know that’s true. I have a couple of ties to Shrewsbury from ages ago. Cleaned out the home of a textile machinery builder to take his library to a museum. Then I found and loved Vinnie Testeverde’s. Got me through my mother’s last days at MA General in Worcester. Beyond those two things, it’s just whatever I drove past. I do like the “feel” of it.

It might interest you all that after 12 years as a prochoice escort and doing battle with the religious right fundamentalists, I have reached out to one of my former adversaries. She was thrown OUT of Liberty University and the Southern Baptist Conference where she taught. Why? Because she wanted to be inclusive w LGBTQ people AND stood up to those engaged in sexual abuse but wo were never punished. Rather, they were PROMOTED. Tw – I never enjoyed Sunday School as a kid. All those mean spirited people walking in hot deserts in sandals with stones getting in them. Never believed a word of it. Burning bush? Seriously? (I was 5 and a major skeptic even then.) Well, then they got to the Jesus part, and I REALLY liked this guy!!! And I never stopped. Just one summer. Then my Dad, who had Parkinsons at the time, turned out to be very good at it. My mother, a rather awful person, made sure we never did it again. Why? She couldn’t abide anyone being good at something she did not do. Or even WANT to do. She was not a healthy person.

Ad…I wrestled for four years in high school…and since you have to wrestle off to earn your place in the lineup, only a few had guaranteed spots so competition was at the core from practice right out to performance.

TW – Well, this is the NCAA Regionals, if they lose, it’s all over and done for this year and forever, the Seniors can never play NCAA again. If they pull off a miraculous two-game win, they would play Super Regionals next weekend then if they won that, they would go to the College World Series the following week. So no matter what, the end is coming one way or another.
