Vox Populi, our weekly live chat about the week’s events begins tonight at 7:00pm PST. Hope to see you then!
AdLiba day ago
Hey TW!
AdLib21 hours ago
Hey Ad are we the only ones on tonight?
twilson117
So far.
AdLib21 hours ago
Holiday time is always iffy.
AdLib21 hours ago
I’m sure more will show up, but it is Christmas time people out shopping maybe?
twilson117
Yes, and some people are already travelling to see family.
AdLib21 hours ago
How are you doing?
AdLib21 hours ago
Yeah I forgot about that travelling part.
twilson117
I’m fine.
twilson117
Looking forward to Monday when the 1/6 Committee will make the first criminal referrals against a president to the DoJ.
AdLib21 hours ago
Glad to hear.
AdLib21 hours ago
Daughter flies home in 4 days.
AdLib21 hours ago
Oh I’m sure you’re happy about that. It’s starting to get cold up here, and we had a snow dusting couple of days ago nothing big.
twilson117
And Musk has crossed the line at Twitter by suspending accounts of journalists just for writing about him or his suspending the guy publishing public info on Elon’s flights.
AdLib21 hours ago
Not bad at all. Been a little cold here but not terrible. Supposedly will be warming up in time for my daughter’s arrival.
AdLib21 hours ago
Did you get your Trump trading cards?
AdLib21 hours ago
Yes he has was listening he Chris Hayes do his take on it. All the others on MSNBC have been reporting out on how is being the bully. It seems he is mimicking the behavior he had to endure when he was growing up.
twilson117
You mean Musk?
AdLib21 hours ago
Yes Musk, everyone on MSNBC are talking about it and bringing in various experts to discuss it. Joy had one of the reporters he blocked.
twilson117
Any word on CL’s meeting with the eye specialist?
twilson117
A number of them have joined Mastadon which is the alternative site I signed up for. It’s kind of deja vu, same thing happened a decade ago with Huffington Post and PlanetPOV had waves of members come over from there. Eventually, most settled into Twitter and Facebook. Now the jumping ship is happening with Twitter.
AdLib21 hours ago
Hi TW and Ad – nice to see you!
choicelady
Speak of the angel, here’s CL!
AdLib21 hours ago
CL is in the house. How are you and how did your meeting with the specialilst go?
twilson117
BTW, heard back from Murph that he’s recuperating from working so hard on the election and related things. He said he’ll be back at Vox soon.
AdLib21 hours ago
Sorry I’m late – dinner intruded. TW the eye people were great. I think they’ve pinned down the solutions. The thyroid? Meh. But I will soldier on.
choicelady
CL that’s great news
twilson117
Dinner comes first, then conversation. Doing both at the same time ends up very messy.
AdLib21 hours ago
Ad, I was wondering if that was the reason, he was working pretty hard.
twilson117
Ad – that is VERY true. During the Family Reunion, I had three other women in my kitchen, nearly went mad much as I love them. Everyone needed something, everyone had things to say. I don’t do conversation well anymore. It was really stressful despite how much I enjoyed their just being present.
choicelady
TW – Yep, he worked hard in MO then when the straw woman candidate won the Dem primary, he went to IL. Sounds exhausting to me.
AdLib21 hours ago
CL – I really understand. When I’m in the midst of working on something to get it done quickly, I am very impatient with distractions and small talk.
AdLib21 hours ago
Well, it looks like the Jan 6 committee will be recommending charges against Trump. I have my dvr set up to record don’t want to miss a minute of it.
twilson117
Since I’m from IL I know he had a fair drive to her district each way. We are none of us as spry as once we were, so I can see how it took the whomp out of Murph.
choicelady
I am DEFINITELY watching Monday! I hope you both can, too. I want to see what they recommend.
choicelady
CL you got that right. I have only one job and when I do it I’m tuckered out. Who know walking the down the steps to get the mail and back up would be so taxing.
twilson117
TW – Yes, I think Trump will get criminal referrals but who else? Meadows? Rudy? Sydney Powell? WHo else? They said up to 5 people.
AdLib21 hours ago
CL – Yep, though in CA, it would be like going from one county to another. But doing that regularly? Exhausting let alone the work involved.
AdLib21 hours ago
Ad, I think all of them will. Guess we’ll just have to tune in and find out.I knew I should have bought stock in a popcorn franchise.
twilson117
Tw – I KNOW – just doing basic housework is driving me to drink. Now I’ve agreed to sponsor a bill which is MAJOR work. Why did I do that?
choicelady
CL – Oh yeah, I will be watching the 1/6 Committee make history by referring criminal charges against Trump and his cronies. That will be my favorite Christmas present.
AdLib21 hours ago
CL because you’re dedicated to truth, justice and the American way Superwoman.
twilson117
CL – What is the bill you’re working on?
AdLib21 hours ago
TW – LOL! I got my stepdaughter whom I called Super Woman, an adult SW costume. Never know when you need to prove it.
choicelady
TW – You should see the NFT trading cards of CL, as Wonder Woman, Rosie the Riveter and Evita.
AdLib21 hours ago
Ad CL has NFT cards, well why not.
twilson117
Ad – It’s Greg’s oln “multimission extremists” and having law enforcement track and record them. This is extremists who show up in crimes of all kinds against protected characteristics including anti abortion crimes. We don’t track them now. We need to.
choicelady
Sure looks like Musk has begun sinking Twitter just like he has Tesla.
AdLib21 hours ago
TW! I would not charge for those cards either!
choicelady
CL – That is an excellent issue to address with legislation. I’ve been saying here for years that there needs to be more direct efforts to identify and stop these violent extremists before they commit crimes.
AdLib21 hours ago
Ad – now while apparently Musk owns most of the Twitter stock, it is ILLEGAL to pillage a company to help divert funds to another you own. He may be in legal trouble doing this.
choicelady
I will say one thing for Trump he is consistent. Once a grifter always a grifter.
twilson117
CL – I’d still pay $99 for them!
AdLib21 hours ago
I’d have to have an artist who took years and fatigue off my actual image. Even a good friend said I don’t look well. But hey – my thyroid numbers are GREAT, so who cares how I FEEL, right?
choicelady
What I found so funny is how Bannon, Baked Alaska and others groaned at how awful Trump’s announcement of his NFTs were. They wanted a declaration of war or an announcement of a new political party and instead they got poorly Photoshopped images of Trump as The Village People.
AdLib21 hours ago
Yes – I AM as vain as Trump but MUCH nicer in all other ways.
choicelady
I thought the Sudi’s had some money invested?
twilson117
CL – We’ll just use the Kari Lake filter on you, you’ll look great.
AdLib21 hours ago
How can they be so stupid? Trump is about only Trump.
choicelady
TW – yes, but Eldon, as we now call him, has a huge majority share. Of course, if he hurts the Saudis, the SEC might not get to him in time to save him.
choicelady
TW – Yep, Saudis are invested in Twitter which makes it so odd they silence the voices of critics…I mean “so expected”.
AdLib21 hours ago
Ad nothing Trump does is original. Trump steaks from Sharper Image, really?
twilson117
Lake IS very pretty. Can’t say that about Kimberley who always looks spackled. But Lake is still cool at 51.
choicelady
Anyone heard from Glenn? Or any of the others? I see PPO on Twitter now and then, but we’ve not talk for a bit.
choicelady
Guilfoyle looks like a cartoon version of the horrific older woman who thinks she looks young and prances aaround like she is. She is so awful.
AdLib21 hours ago
CL he doesn’t want to mess with the Saudis, they’re pretty good with bone saws.
twilson117
Haven’t heard from glenn for a couple of weeks but she was here 3-4 weeks ago.
AdLib21 hours ago
No one my age should body shame, but that bizarre slas=front dress was SO WRONG. It’s clear she has very droopy breasts, natural at her age, and that was not at all attractive.
choicelady
TW – that thought about the Saudis was my thought as well. Beware whom you screw over.
choicelady
Ad – glad you’ve heard recently. I really care about her.
choicelady
I think Twitter is going down. Right now, an initial wave of folks are abandoning it for other sites but with the EU making a tough announcement that this treatment of journalists will come with big problems, reveals the path Musk and Twitter will go.
AdLib21 hours ago
Ad – I have lost only about 400 followers out of 14.4 K I am set up at Mastodon and on the wait list on…whatever it is. I think I’m on Tribel, but I’ve never used any of these and get confused.
choicelady
CL – I had the misfortune of seeing that photo and lost my appetite. She’s simply nauseating with how crass and cluseless she is. The worst…is yet…to come!
AdLib21 hours ago
I will hang on to Twitter for a time. Still have a lot of good friends on it.
choicelady
Ad – There is just no getting around aging if you haven’t had Melania type work done. She has done her face but not her body. She either has to accept she’s in her 50s or do something more.
choicelady
I tired to get on Mastodon the other night, but I never got the confirmation email they said they sent me. So I will try again later. I was never a big Twitter fan.
twilson117
CL – I’ve started using Mastodon recently, can’t bear to be on Twitter much anymore for the same reason I won’t go on Facebook. Can’t support anti-democracy, anti-privacy, pro-bigotry sites.
AdLib21 hours ago
TW – the clue to my liking of Twitter lies in my being “Queen of the Fast Block”. Piss me off? Gone. It has made my little world quite peaceful.
choicelady
CL well I was never really a big user didn’t have the time nor the interest really.
twilson117
CL – Melania and Guilfoyle look like plastic surgeried mannequins. Distorted and plastic, cold as icicles.
AdLib21 hours ago
I have been writing to laid off workers to look at the Ohio Employee Ownership Center to see how, in bankruptcy court, they can claim a stake in Twitter then organize it as an ESOP or coop. OEOC is at Kent State and KNOWS how to do this. I hope they could get it for pennies on the dollar in compensation for Eldon’s stupidity as a rotten manager.
choicelady
Guilfoyle, I have ragged book covers that look better than she does.
twilson117
Ad – I never thought I’d see the day when “Stepford Wives” would be real, but the women around Trump are exactly that.
choicelady
FWIW, I don’t see any way that Twitter gets better under the thumb of a toxic, emotionally fragile narcissist. I think Twitter is going down and better to jump off sooner than later. I still scan here and there but am ending my posting there.
AdLib21 hours ago
Kiberley got sued and LOST for a sexual harassment suit by a WOMAN over at FOX who was a personal assistant and would go to Kimberley’s apartment and find Kimmy naked as a jay bird. That’s gross. The assistant WON.
choicelady
CL I read about that. Supposed she did the same at the Fox dressing room.
twilson117
TW – I hadn’t heard that, but after reading she gave lap dances at GOP fund raisers, I am NOT surprised.
choicelady
CL say more about how you’re helping the Twitter employees who were laid off without the proper notice.
twilson117
I also read that when Kim was First Lady of SF when married to Gavin, NOBODY could stand her.
choicelady
CL – I really like that idea! I don’t know the odds of that working in the face of a tyrannical Musk who just doesn’t care how he crushes and abuses employees though. Just saw Musk’s quote about Tesla employees being free to organize a union but he would take away their stock options if they did. And the way he illegally and cruelly fired Twitter employees despite guarantees of severance and notice, I think he would play a very cruel hardball.
AdLib21 hours ago
TW – I just send them to OEOC in Ohio at Kent State if they can organize to stake a claim when Eldon goes to Bankruptcy. Then OEOC can help them shape an employee owned business.
choicelady
TW – I’ve seen sexier vultures than Guilfoyle.
AdLib21 hours ago
AD
twilson117
Ad – One couldn’t do it with Eldon in charge, but when he jumps ship in bankruptcy court, anyone with a back claim on salaries or stock ownership is a party and CAN claim the company and its material assets. Would be pennies on the dollar for them.
choicelady
CL – Yes but considering Trump is inhuman, having Stepford Wives around him isn’t so strange.
AdLib21 hours ago
Ad – LOL!!!
choicelady
Ad – I guess that’s the point on Stepford Wives – the men can’t be wrapped too tight either.
choicelady
CL good advice. Eldon has violated a ton of employment laws. I’m surprised he has been paid a visit yet.
twilson117
Well he had two before his current one.
twilson117
CL – Yes, I know about that, I imagine that PA is still suffering from PTSD from seeing Guilfoyle naked repeatedly. Even Trump Jr. doesn’t want to see that and he’s always wasted on coke!
AdLib21 hours ago
Because he isn’t (I don’t think) incorporated in CA it makes it harder for EDD, our employment mavens, to charge him. Not everyone working for Twitter was here either. Complicated.
choicelady
She’s a piece of work, is Kimmy. Ick.
choicelady
CL – I still can’t figure out who Newsom really is after marrying Guilfoyle. I know she wasn’t as plastic-surgeried then or as extreme but she had to be obnoxious and annoying.
AdLib21 hours ago
CL – I really do like that OEOC-driven idea!
AdLib21 hours ago
Well from what I understand he didn’t give the required 90 day notice when he did the mass layoffs. I would have thought the local office where the HQ is located would have stepped in and said something.
twilson117
Well, she is reported to have been utterly insufferable. She was really pretty when she was young, but she is NOT pretty now. Donnie’s too wasted to see it, but Gavin had the good sense to ditch Kiberley over her nastiness to staff.
choicelady
TW – no, he did not handle firings legally in CA, but so many weren’t IN CA it gets dicey. That WARN act is a state law, not federal.
choicelady
We also don’t know what the state is doing about the layoffs. Very sub rosa right now.
choicelady
CL – The question is, will Eloney Balonie’s ego allow him to step away from being CEO? Tesla is crashing and no path for recovery. Space-X has more competition now (as Tesla does) and Musk just sold another $3.5 billion of Tesla stock to bail out losses at Twitter.
AdLib21 hours ago
That is illegal – taking money from one company to shore up another.
choicelady
CL – Really? As a stockholder, can’t Musk sell stock in one company to support another. Does seem like just a matter of time before Tesla stockholders sue Musk for destroying and hollowing out the company.
AdLib21 hours ago
Tesla has stockholder who can sue his alabaster ass over that. Yes it’s his money, but he’s not feeding Tesla’s capital needs right now. BAD management.
choicelady
The WARN act, I couldn’t recall that. I know when the company I worked for started its layoff we had plants offices throughout the US and we didn’t seem to have any problem following the rules. But we are dealing with an overindulgent self centered individual.
twilson117
Not to mention the massive losses of Tesla investors, their investments are worth 40% of what they were before Musk bought Twitter and he bought it for double the price it was worth at the time of the sale. Is there a board at Tesla? If so, I would imagine they’d kick him out as CEO after this disaster.
AdLib21 hours ago
TW – good managers know how to do things legally and well. No one gets that Eldon isn’t a hands on manager but a ‘merger and acquisition” maven. Putting his hands on a company is death. He has NO idea how to run one only how to hire good managers to do it for him. And he was marginal in Tesla’s heyday. Now he is just AWFUL. He didn’t stay in his lane.
choicelady
Someone asked Richard Branson how someone loses a small fortune, he said start with a big one. Well, Elon has a big one so maybe he loses it all.
twilson117
And Tesla was luckily overvalued before Musk bought Twitter. This loss of 60% of its stock value is just the beginning of the end. So many electric and hybrid cars now, Tesla enjoyed high valuation because there were few competitors. Now, many and more coming. Tesla can only keep sinking as Musk keeps attacking Progressives and Dems…who are the majority of his client base! He’s alienating Tesla customers as he goes mental on Twitter. I see lawsuits in the future.
AdLib21 hours ago
CL I agree with you on that. There is no shame in admitting you don’t know how do something. Having a lot of money doesn’t make you smart.
twilson117
TW – I like that Branson quote!
AdLib21 hours ago
It’s very satisfying to see Trump in a nosedive right now. I’ll celebrate just as much as Musk hits rock bottom.
AdLib20 hours ago
Ad he may just find himself back in trouble with the SEC for what his is doing with the Telsa stock. They pulled his chain the last time the question is do they have the courage to do it again.
twilson117
This is what Frank Lorenzo did to Eastern Airlines. He bought it to gut it for his other line, Continental. That is illegal. Eldon bought Twitter to gut, but now he’s gutting Tesla to shore up Twitter. He WILL do two things: He will take an accelerated depreciation on Twitter to get cash back from the IRS (legal – long story about that) and then file bankruptcy on Twitter. The cash back will go back to Tesla. It is highly dubious THAT is legal.
choicelady
TW – But narcissists can’t admit they aren’t experts at everything. Remember how Trump always said he was smarter than everyone in every field?
AdLib20 hours ago
Ad yes Trump always did say that, but liars lie and that is what Trump is good at, lying.
twilson117
Ad – agreed. Eldon now is an ‘expert’ on Fauci and pandemics. Everything I’ve read from him about Fauci and vaxxes etc. is DEAD WRONG, but – he’s MUSK so how can he be wrong??? They are “legends in their own minds”.
choicelady
TW – I don’t know, the SEC has seemed so toothless. I think Musk is more likely to be in trouble with state AGs and stockholders suing him. Maybe even the DoJ prosecuting for financial crimes.
AdLib20 hours ago
Don’t count SEC out – they got Lorenzo back in the 90s who though HE was untouchable. This is too big, too public not to pursue.
choicelady
CL both Eastern and Continental are no more.
twilson117
The problem with SEC enforcement is that a lot of things are now actually LEGAL thanks to the GOP during Bush. But gutting companies for cash to fund other companies? STILL illegal.
choicelady
He was wrong about saving that soccer team that was trapped in the cave.
twilson117
CL – That’s an interesting theory. However, seeing that Musk, in a very public spotlight, has proven what an idiot he is at running a company hands-on, I don’t know that I would give him that much credit. He’s a spoiled brat like Trump who is driven by his fragile ego, I think that’s why he bought Twitter, because he was refused a spot on the board after buying a big piece of it and thought, “Fine, I’ll buy Twitter then and take it over on my own!” His moves don’t make financial sense because they’re driven by his narcissism. That’s a good possibility too.
AdLib20 hours ago
TW – that was Lorenzo’s “legacy”. He killed them both. Ad – this is the strategy of small minded “managers”. It’s been the way the steel industry was killed off. It’s the “go to” for people who know nothing else about running a company.
choicelady
CL – Hope you and TW are right about the SEC. I’m wary of that with all the financial monkey business they let go on and on over the past 30 years but hope you two are right.
AdLib20 hours ago
Ad – Again, most of what we think as illegal corporate actions was made legal during Bush and the GOP dominance. THAT has to change.
choicelady
TW – Continental was my main airline, built up a lot of miles and Elite status but it went downhill during Lorenzo’s disastrous gambit. Now, United has their logo but it’s not the same.
AdLib20 hours ago
Ad I do think karma will catch up with Musk, he can’t keep screwing over people the way he is and not pay a price. The issue will be as always time.
twilson117
CL – That is great to hear, it sure seems like Tesla stockholders should have a legal case against Musk for hollowing it out to finance this foolish venture with Twitter.
AdLib20 hours ago
Ad – I was an advisor to the IAM guys during the strike, 1989-92, so I got a deep dive into what Lorenzo was doing. That is one thing that remains illegal – and that’s what Eldon is doing to Tesla even though he PLANNED to gut Twitter to feed Tesla. I suspect – cannot prove – that the Saudis had something to do with its being the reverse. He didn’t know what he bought with their involvement. Makes “Knuckles” the Enforcer look like child’s play.
choicelady
Ad yes those were they days when there were multiple airlines. One side note, Trump bought the Eastern shuttle service from New York to DC and we know what happened to that.
twilson117
TW – I’d forgotten it was the Eastern shuttle. But whatever he touches turns to dross.
choicelady
CL you need to write a book.
twilson117
TW – Musk called one of the guys trying to rescue the soccer team a pedo! Just out of having a bruised ego when his stupid theories on how to save the kids were rebuffed. Sure seems similar to buying Twitter after the board rebuffed him on joining it.
AdLib20 hours ago
Ad exactly and the guy he called a pedo turned out to be right with his approach if I recall.
twilson117
CL – Yes, they coined the phrase, Destructive Capitalism.
AdLib20 hours ago
TW – I have written articles years ago. Got a LTE into Business Week on this. My guys at IAM held a party for me!
choicelady
Good term: destructive capitalism. It’s what eviscerated our nation’s industries.
choicelady
CL – Heh, “Knuckles”!
AdLib20 hours ago
CL, take the articles dust them off, update them with current information, my guess not too much has changed that you can’t adjust and create a 100 page book. You have a lot of knowledge. Also sounds like you have some great research skills that people can learn from.
twilson117
TW – There are wonderful films about the guys who saved those kids, a doc and a feature film by Ron Howard, both portray how brave and brilliant those guys were. While Musk looks like an idiot, snowflake and spoiled brat/bully.
AdLib20 hours ago
TW – I’m thinking seriously about it. Only problem is I’m not “institutionally” linked anymore. Nobody much pays attention.
choicelady
CL – There’s always a story new to me about how amazing you are and how you’re a part of business, political or social history! Proud to know you and have you as a friend!
AdLib20 hours ago
Thank you both. I seriously appreciate it. When you’re “retired” (I just came out of retirement apparently) nobody takes you seriously. I need venues where I can publish, and I have on blogs but not in print.
choicelady
CL there are other areas
twilson117
I will consider it all. First I need to figure out my physical health. I’m NOT sick, nothing wrong, but I am tired all the time, and that has to get fixed. We shall see. I may need to go to Canada for help.
choicelady
Well health does come first.
twilson117
I can’t recall if we talked about Maddow’s podcast, Ultra? It’s a seven part series on the Nazi sympathizers in Congress. It’s absolutely spot on and chilling.
choicelady
It is what we’re going through now.
choicelady
CL I just started listening to it yesterday just finish chapter 4 it’s really good.
twilson117
So I’m having another suspicion regarding corporate schemes. There is now an egg shortage, following a gas shortage, following other produce shortages, all during a time when supply chains are working relatively well. Is this perhaps like the market and economy crashes that have been sewn into the economy? Artificial shortages of products to justify the escalation of prices to tap out consumers who are still a little above where they were thanks to the Covid funds and such? It seems very curious to me.
AdLib20 hours ago
It IS. She did a great job.
choicelady
CL – That’s why retirement can really just be a refocusing. TW is focused as a writer now.
AdLib20 hours ago
CL – Yes, health comes first and everything can flow from that. Definitely take care of yourself. Why would you need to go to Canada?
AdLib20 hours ago
Biden has remarked on this. I think he is working with various Cabinet secretaries to see if existing laws can bring this under control. Even Chuck GRASSLEY has called out the meatpackers because while they ar gouging consumers, they still pay the stockmen old prices, old rates. I think this will shake up the monopolies and oligopolies in our food and other commodity industries. Piss off farmers who are SUPPORTED by the gov’t, and you have a recipe for major changes.
choicelady
Ad I agree about retirement as refocusing.
twilson117
CL – Yes, we have talked a little about Maddow’s Ultra. Brilliant work!
AdLib20 hours ago
Ad – I have what is called “atrophic thyroiditis”. I don’t have a thyroid gland. It is GONE. USA physicians ignore it. Canadian, EU, and Asian researchers know it well. So it’s easier to go to Canada than elsewhere to get guidance and proper testing. \
choicelady
CL – Definitely need oversight now over corporations which are screwing and robbing most Americans. This can’t continue like this, if the economy slows down and income dips, the economy could collapse…which is what it seems they want for another opportunity to boost their wealth as they did during the economic crashes in the past.
AdLib20 hours ago
CL – Ah, I see, it’s a matter of medical philosophy, US doctors aren’t trained to see treating it as a thing. That’s awful. So, if you need to take a nice trip to Canada to get better, so be it.
AdLib20 hours ago
I find it interesting that the seriously sound capitalist leaders – Buffet and his circle – are not projecting recession and not playing those games. Says a lot about short term strategies to “make’ Americans vote GOP to keep the corporate coffers full. Easier than actually making money the old way – earning it.
choicelady
CL no thyroid, that contributes to they tiredness you feel doesn’t it?
twilson117
CL – Absolutely. Notice how gas prices are now lower than a year ago? Any law that you know of to use price increases of critical markets by corporate bosses to influence elections?
AdLib20 hours ago
My doc says no, that as long as I take thyroid and ALL my tests are good, which they are, then there’s no reason for my fatigue, etc. But the literature says I’m not USING what’s in my blood. It’s just hanging out there. I look and feel really subpar. I just want to feel well.
choicelady
No – we had the SAME thing with Obama 2012. It is always chalked up to “refineries off line” for one or more reasons. They can justify ANYTHING, and we don’t have the inspectors and enforcers to deal with it all. When we had the 70s crisis, a fri4end who worked for the harbor master in LA harbor said there were dozens of tankers anchored behind Catalina hiding. They were full but not unloading. Someone else used infrared sensors and found the tanks in El Segundo were FULL. They lied and raised prices for NO justifiable reason.

Notice how the horrors of caravans at the border, high gas prices, and inflation have suddenly disappeared from the concerns of Repub pols and now it’s Hunter Biden’s laptop and impeaching everyone in the Biden admin?

You know it seems US medicine is also being regulated by the bottom line.

Ad – I read that those wanting to pound Hunter and Joe don’t have the votes to do so. SOME Republicans want to be seen as responsible to their constituents. That’s gonna hurt the extremist types.

CL – Interesting. Glad that you’re aware of what’s going on in your body, leads you towards a better solution! You need to have energy, I’m behind you on going to Canada for treatment as needed.

TW – ACA was allowed to be toothless, and one thing Biden MUST do is renew the federal regs. People are being denied health care over violations of the existing law. We have to shore that up.

Well, I’m looking for US-based people, but I may not find them. Have a couple of leads, but not sure they actually see patients.

CL – That’s sad but not surprising that oil execs will harm the country to enrich themselves and attack Dems having political power. Repubs are their puppets. There needs to be oversight over critical infrastructure including oil companies.

Is it wrong for me to want to see Kevin crash and burn in his attempt to get the speaker’s gavel.

One thing we all need to do is get behind Sherrod Brown in OH for 2024 if he’s up again, and I THINK he is. He is the ONLY Dem left in that state. He’s a terrific guy but also an essential one.

TW – nope, it’s not wrong at all. I detested him as Minority Leader in the CA Senate. He was horrible. He’s gotten only worse since that.

CL – Yes, heard that too, Senate Repubs are unhappy and not on board with House Repubs focusing on partisan BS after campaigning about fixing inflation and immigration. But I think The House will be entertaining as Repubs turn on each other.
AdLib20 hours ago
CL – And add to that Trump’s sabotage of the ACA too. All of that needs to be repaired and improved.
AdLib20 hours ago
Ad – I do think all the plans the Alt Right have for 2023-25 will be fruitless. They have shot their wad and are losing support.

Gentlemen, I am getting blurry eyed again and need to bid you a fond good night. Are we meeting next Friday? I think I can. Any luck at all, I MIGHT have the new glasses by then. Keep the faith. I’d REALLY like to see clearly!

Ad as much as I would love to see the Repugs in the House turn on each other there is only so much popcorn I can eat. I would like to see some work get done. But with the crazies they have in the House I don’t know.

TW – I don’t know that Kevin will even end up as Speaker. Can’t wait to see all the back stabbing and who ends up as Speaker. Doesn’t really matter because it will be insanity and unmanageable no matter who the Repub Speaker is. I like the proposition that moderate Repubs, only need 5 of them, could make a Dem speaker.
AdLib20 hours ago
TW – at least you CAN eat popcorn! I get carrots, and that doesn’t fulfill the desire for revenge as popcorn does.
